 Being five tequila shots and as many bowls of spicy ramen in at 5 PM is not a regular day at work by any standards, unless you work at Second Try.

 They just finished shooting a Drunk VS. High Spicy Food Challenge, and Eugene’s brain swims pleasantly in his skull. He wonders if the bottle of Patrón is still around somewhere  —   and if there’s any ramen left.

 Most everyone has already packed up and headed home, but him and Keith are still at the office, too lazy to call an Uber.

Notes: Written for @rarebuzzships Valentine’s 2021 event. Hoping to update with Chapter 2 (which is done) next week and then conclude with the last chapter the following week - so, this’ll all be wrapped up in March (fingers crossed)

As Kelsey finishes off her fourth glass of rosé, she clicks on her Valentine's Day YouTube video again. She's already watched it and re-watched it more times than is probably healthy, but why not?

She made it. It's great. And as she said in the video, life's too short to not love yourself. But here's the thing: she doesn't.

Love herself, that is.

Oh, she doesn't hate herself or anything - she feels like she has an appropriate amount of care about herself as a person. But right at this moment, she doesn't.

Kelsey hates feeling sorry for herself (that's what this is, isn't it?), but it can't be helped. She's had too much wine and too much time to think. She honestly thought she'd be in a stable relationship by now.

Or, at the very least, getting... something.

She hates throwing up more.

Yet she suffers through both after her disastrous night of overindulging in rosé – the world’s most accursed wine. How can something so pink and so pretty be so evil? Still, what’s worse is knowing Shane came by and saw her brought so low.

…he did come by. Right? It’s hard to say and after a day or two passes, Kelsey starts to think maybe he didn’t come by. Maybe she dreamed it. A bizarre dream to be sure, but it’s not like she gets drunk all that often and she did play with that Ouija board. That Ouija board which, very creepily, has gone missing since that night.
