These special shapes are what personalizes a puzzle for its owner. When you commission me to make a puzzle, you get to select pieces that have meaning to you and your family. Sometimes these figural shaped pieces correlate directly to what's pictured on the image side of the puzzle and other times they just have meaning to the owner and have nothing to do with the image. With the puzzles that I hand craft, I offer two complementary figural puzzle pieces per 100 pieces of puzzle ordered. Additional ones are available up to a ratio of 10 per 100 pieces of puzzle. For an additional price of $8 each. Although very attractive and appealing to look at, putting too many of them into a puzzle can detract from its challenge. Typically speaking, pieces that surround the figure shaped pieces are somewhat easy to identify and therefore put together quickly.
