good news guys! i’ve pinpointed the exact moment god gave up on me
Today is my friend Alex's birthday so I drew his character Rashaad
distinguished disaster, course of cyclic repetition
i always draw rei distinguished, but rest assured..... she’s 100% a disaster
Name aesthetic - Z'Rashaaq (Spiritual name) For @falco-mcbirdface
October! Time passed so strangely in October, I didn’t get to do much inking at all... But I did happen to draw a lot of Kamil, as usual
Featured is a species swap AU, as a reminder that these OCs are technically originally pokemon gijinkas....
Fic concept I've had lying around for a while. May or may not finish
"What in the world is she doing?"
"Sitting in a tree."
"Observant as ever, Rashaad," Khulan hisses, crossing her arms. "Why is she sitting in the tree?"
It might have been her bed for the past few nights. Rashaad can't say, because he hasn't seen her for the past few nights. They've spent most of today just looking for her, because she'd promised to make an appearance in Ding Dong Dell first thing in the morning. She didn't show. It took hours to finally find her in the Golden Grove.
She's laying on a thick branch that curls up to the tree canopy, her back to Rashaad and Khulan standing on the ground. She's yet to move or respond verbally, only pulling her cape tighter around her shoulders when they tried calling her name.
Suddenly, rolling her eyes, Khulan calls her Dragamuffin out from her soul.
"Khentii, bring me a fairy."
Khentii darts off into the bush, definitely not startling Rashaad at all. It only takes around thirty seconds for her to emerge with a pale green three-horned fairy on her back, muttering something about "cabbies".
"Where is the Lord of the Fairies?" Khulan demands before the fairy can even dismount properly.
They cross their arms, mirroring Khulan. "Who's asking?"
"The Queen of the Heavens."
"Well, Miss Queen, the fairies hail from the beautiful island of Teeheeti and we only answer to the Fairest Fair Fairygodmother and, in her absence, the Lord High Lord of the Fairies, so I don't know about any queens of heavens-"
"His best friend is in distress," Rashaad butts in, gesturing to the tree. Immediately, the fairy's demeanor softens.
"Oh, Alicia, the pooer dab! Right, I'll call him over."

It's a nifty trick if you're in a pinch. If they know you, they wish it, and they're close enough to you, you can teleport to the approximate location of any fairy (provided that you are also a fairy) (How far you can teleport also depends on how lordly a fairy you are, and how lordly you are depends on a whole host of factors we do not have time to cover). It's a good thing, then, that there are fairies everywhere and Drippy is about as lordly as it gets.
He still has to hop between a couple guys before getting to the center of the Summerlands; Teeheeti is inconveniently far away from everything. It's Atumnia, Ugly Duckling, then it could be a brisk jog from Sunhine Bay, but he's in a hurry, so he takes one last leap to the Golden Grove right next to good old Gainey, who called him over in the first place.
There are also two humans there. Alicia's sage friends, if he recalls correctly.
"Right-o, what's all this then?" He pats Gainey on the shoulder, who takes it as his cue to go back to whatever he was doing in the bush.
"Alicia has holed up in that tree and refuses to come down," says the one wearing teal and feathers. "We were hoping you could convince her, being her..." She waves her hand.
"Best 'buttie'," the one in white continues. His accent actually makes his pronounciation quite good. "I believe she may be in a fragile state, so please be-"
"Nothin' to worry about, your Sagelinesses! Lord High Lord Drippy has got it covered."
With one practiced jump, Drippy backflips into the tree, right in front of Alicia's rigid form. He's about to make a comment about how roomy and comfortable it is up here in the canopy, but he vacant look in her glassy eyes scares any jokes off his tongue. He's not sure she can even see him.
