This is not your the typical stuff you'd think of when the words "French" and  "electronic" are used.

FRANK BRETSCHNEIDER "MACHINE.GUN"

Wow-black and white freak out coming head on at you.  Do not watch this if you are prone to seizures or losing your mind to flashing images.  All others, if you want a sensory overload-try this on.  You graphic-type folks will love it!

Taken from his latest 'Super Trigger' album, this is another example of how Bretschneider treats percussive things.

RYOJI IKEDA COMPLETES TRILOGY WITH 'SUPERCODEX'

Sound and vision alchemist, Ryoji Ikeda is set to complete his trilogy for Raster-Norton with his upcoming 'Supercodex' release.

He began his datamatics trilogy with the release of 'Dataplex', from 2005.  This trilogy is a headlong pursuit to understand how invisible data surrounds our everyday existance.  Ikeda is exploring the way data can be morphed into sound, and vice versa. 

The new record also contains material used during his current during show 'Superposition' which studies the quantum world. 

For those not familiar with Ryoji, you should definitely check out some fo his work, his installations in various parts of the world are a real sonic and visual treat.  Check out the video below for a sample of what his current tour is like.

Sonar: Alva Noto & Ryuichi Sakamoto

Possivelmente os donos do momento mais experimental do Sonar. Alva Noto AKA Carsten Nicolai tem entortado nossas cabeças com seus discos sublimes e praticamente científicos desde 2000, tanto com produções solo ou em parceria com outros artistas. Se não bastasse sua música, Nicolai é dono do selo Raster-Norton, um dos mais perplexos da história da música eletrônica. Ryuichi Sakamoto tem um currículo tão absurdo que chega a ser covardia tentar resumir sua carreira... da vanguarda absoluta da música eletrônica japonesa com a Yellow Magic Orchestra (descubra esta banda!!!), passando por Caetano Veloso, David Sylvian, Fennesz, trilhas sonoras e discos solo que beiram a perfeição. Um dos momentos mais classudos e cabeçudos de todo o Sonar.
