mentioned you in a post:
“@notmoreflippingelves replied to your post: Random question, but...”
I think it’s The Way Through the Woods but I’m not sure. It’s a scene written from Laura’s perspective after Max’s death. And she talks about how he was her mentor and at one point her lover. And it was just....seemed out of character for both of them.
And squirky, especially because Laura is so young in Morse. Altho I guess Dexter did not necessarily imagine her as young as bb!Clare Holman ended up being in Morse.

Now I love that Endeavour is getting great reviews...
i’ve not come across any drama? just people liking endeavour and being disappointed with sherlock? they broadcast at the same time so the comparison makes sense.
It’s more isolated posts than fandom-drama, but some posts earlier this week sounded very schadenfreude like, which rubbed me the wrong way and it kinda made me sad to see that.
I’m a 32 year old guy who’s only just discovered baking. I made a classic strawberry and cream Swiss roll as my second attempt to make a cake from scratch Check this blog!
for the game meme: 18, 27, 1, 19. :)
thank you! :D
1: Do you try to stay away from walkthroughs?
Nah, not at all. I hate not being able to find the final collectible out of 235. XD I only ever feel a bit guilty about using them when it’s a puzzle game, but not for 100% competion stuff or boss strategies.
18: A game you wish your friends knew about?
There are so many games I wish my friends would play just because they are good and everyone deserves to know that joy (like Psychonauts or Renowned Explorers). But, more specifically I wish some of my friends would play Dead by Daylight so that I had a reason to buy it. I don’t really care much for playing with online strangers, and this one looks like fun to play private play with people you know on voice chat.
19: Which game do you think deserves a revival?
Darksiders. I was gutted when the company got taken apart before they could do a (likely final) third game. Particularly as Jow Madueira said he won’t be part of a sequel if any other company tries to make one. I just love the combination of the very bright stylised art with the dark, apocalyptical theme and the extreme over-the-top epic dialogue + voice acting. It’s so hammy and I’ll forever miss that franchise.
27: Has there ever been a moment that has made you cry?
I’m constantly crying at games. Highlights include: Hawke’s mother in DA2. The fate of the first group of rectangles in Thomas Was Alone. The way the “Where the Cat and Wolf play” quest concludes in TW3. The way the “Family Matters” quest concludes in TW3 if you give the baby a funeral. The way the “Towerful of Mice” quest concludes in TW3. Everything about Iris’ story in TW3... just TW3, basically. XD

I saw someone praise the Bioware diaogue wheel as...
aw, I like dialogue wheels (if done right) lmao
I just don’t really see the advantage of a dialogue wheel over having 7 different dialogue options + an extra option for every little background detail I added during character creation (”your character’s greatest fear is clowns? We have an extra dialogue tree for that!”). XD I’m glad the latter is making a comeback in some games.
I like have an extensive dialogue tree much better in games that want to encourage me to role-play than having a choice of two to three moods and a three word summary of what my character might end up saying (and more often than not these options don’t actually capture the gist of what the game is making your character say when you select them).
@rathvelus replied to your photoset “Parallels”
lmao why would you even reblog something you obviously don't agree with just to leave redundant commentary? anyway, great photoset! the parallels are really interesting.
Asked myself the same question. I felt like telling him to bugger off it he doesn’t like the post but it’s not my style. Went full sarcasm instead!
And thanks, glad so many people enjoy the post :)
