whats odd is that i see grey/teal (the objective right one) for the shoes but i saw white/gold* for the dress

no see that’s the thing this is what i mean. the pictures show grey/teal and white/gold but the ACTUAL color of the articles in other lighting is white/pink and black/blue so how. do our eyes just not have this superhuman ‘adjusting for cool or intense lighting’ feature other people seem to have

Unpopular Opinion: I think that skepticism-culture places waaaaaay too much of an emphasis on debunking individual pieces of misinformation and lies rather than trying to take down the worldviews that lead to people believing those lies.

Like, it’s very easy to punch down at people you consider “idiots,” but it’s much harder to try and understand the workings of why they believe this garbage and how to kill the worldview that promotes that at the core

We need to stop taking the easy way out, and then wondering why we have such little impact aside from comvincing reactionaries to call themselves “rational...”
