[He never really stops observing. Nothing escapes him, and it makes him a nightmare to the people he interviews. He notes every twitch, every quirk of the lip, and every bead of sweat that rolls down the back of their neck. And he always knows when they're lying- and he pushes at them when they do. He tries to tone this down in normal conversation, however. No need to scare the people away.]
".....Hello."
[Eye contact and a proffered hand, because every good Kansas boy has manners.]
"Clark Kent. Nice to meet you."
Accidentally set cat tail. On fire. Ran away.
Did you know that if you try hard enough, you could totally probably remove one of your vital organs and live?
At least for a second, that is. You'd probably die after a second.

☁ Oh dear, it was raining cats and dogs. While she had anticipated as much, she had still been hoping it wouldn’t. After all it was going to be difficult to get home with Aristotle. He’d grow tired of being held and want to walk on his own. Later however he’d want to be back in her embrace and when he was really having a fit he wouldn’t want to move at all. This hand been one of those times. As she attempted to balance him and the umbrella in her arms she stumbled upon a poor man who was getting completely soaked by the rain. Without hesitation she came closer so that he’d be under her umbrella as well. “Are you alright?”

"Look--tell Christenson that if he doesn't get that paperwork finished by today, I'm going to demote him to mailboy. He will never work in this city as a lawyer if he doesn't step up his game; I'll make sure of it."
So, maybe he could lighten up a bit on the new guys. Even still, he'd told the kid three million times that he needed the files filed by the end of last week, and three days had passed the deadline he'd set. Charles thought that owning his own firm would make it so that he could do what he want and make other people do what he didn't want. Instead, he was stuck with a group of acne-ridden pushover interns and a small legion of cut-throat lawyers that would like nothing better than to sabotage each other. It made life very difficult. And so did the person that just bumped him and scuffed his shoe.
"Jesus Christ, of course. This is Armani, can't you learn to watch the direction you feel like dragging your knuckles about in?"
