James wasn’t sure what he felt about all of this sometimes. Earth could certainly use the allies and Voltron had plenty of alien connections but that’s not what bothered him, no, it was the fact that The Black Paladin SPECIFICALLY pointed him in this direction to meet a friend of his. Suspicious to say the least but James was a professional and an officer of the Galaxy Garrison so if he had to meet a stranger under questionable request of an old rival HE WOULD DO JUST THAT and he’d do it properly as he extended a hand in greeting.

Many things didn’t make sense to Debbie. School stuff mostly, but also the fact that she had just made wind, had made it lift girls off the ground and send them flying. Nothing about this makes sense, but then she also just doesn’t know if it was real. If maybe she was imagining it. She’s so deep in thought that she doesn’t see him, just walks straight into him. “Oh, sorry, sorry.” When she actually looks at him, though, he feels familiar. She’s sure she’s seen him before, but she can’t remember where. The lab is something she doesn’t even realized happened, doesn’t realize how it’s connected to what she’s just done. She has no idea just how much everything is connected. “Do I know you?”

in hindsight,   chasing down an ex-maybe-not-so-ex-circle-member solo probably wasn’t her greatest idea.   though she can absolutely handle some wrinkly old man with a so-called hero complex,   a little backup would be nice.  but what’s a girl to do when her big brothers are in idris and she’s left in charge of protecting new york city?   it’s perfectly reasonable,  really,  and that’s precisely the defense she’ll use when alec & jace reappear at the institute with questions demanding to be answered.  

soundless rune etched into the curve of her ankle,  she moves silently down a darkened alley.  izzy knows there’s danger involved in tracking down a rogue shadowhunter who murdered a werewolf in cold blood less than twelve hours ago,   but it’s her duty.   besides,  she’s one of the best shadowhunters of her time.  if anyone can do this alone,   she’s confident it’s her. 

rounding a corner,   her dark eyes catch on a figure hunkered down up ahead.   the nyx rune on her forearm pulses,  allowing her to peer through the darkness at the form’s details.   dark hair,  tanned skin,  something... startlingly familiar about the shape.  but he’s so far away,   and even if he did come back unexpectedly,  there’s no way he’d do something like this without jace.   

it couldn’t be a demon taking on his shape,  could it?    whip uncurls from her wrist as she takes quick,  sure steps forward,  silently thanking the angel for a rune that keeps her movements silent.   izzy barely even breathes until she’s just behind him,   the tip of her electrum whip slinking forward to wrap tightly around his wrist.   ‘    you have fifteen seconds to explain who you are,  who sent you,  and why you’ve taken on my big brother’s appearance.     ’   //  @ravagerbled  liked this post  for a starter.

maybe the reason why he said he's from Missouri is because he identifies that as the place he's from? He doesn't really say from Earth cause it wasn't his home for his child self, but Missouri was? If that make sense fjkdlsgj

OOOOH THAT IS A GOOD POINT AND MAKES A LOT OF SENSE. my peter never, not once, left missouri. he didn’t even go over to kansas, even though he was near the kansas border. It was mostly due to the fact that his single mother couldn’t ever afford to take them on any sort of trip. so his natural reaction is to say he’s from missouri, not earth because he never had a life there. it had all taken place in missouri. i hc he was abducted at 10 which would have put him at fifth grade, so his sense of perception when it comes to the world around him would have been fairly small. THANK YOU for helping me figure that out it’s been bothering me for SO LONG ( I know I joked about him thinking missouri was a planet, but with the amount of times he referred to terra as his home in the two gotg movies I couldn’t stick with it ).
