Today's episode: Limited Life, 3rd life, and Solidarity/Jimmy's canary curse :D So! To begin with, this will be using the... Head cannon? Fannon? I dunno, the thing where the Watchers pushed Jim off.

Anyways, so! Jimmy was pushed off the Skynet by the watchers. Why? Because they wanted the canary curse to continue. Standard boing stuff. Now! The stuff that has been rattling around in my head: we pushed Jimmy. I know, I know, sounds ridiculous, but hear me out-

As told in the Evo SMP, we the viewers are the watchers. We are the people who watch what they do. As such, we the views, the "watchers" are the ones that caused some of the curses to rear their head. Because we believed in the curses (The canary curse, the curse that Grian will lose his loved ones, etc etc.) we caused them to become true. As such, we are the ones to blame for Jimmy's death. We pushed him to make sure he would be the first to fall, making him the one to be forever trapped in different walls.

about qinter fans

it’s genuinely so concerning to me how normalized it is in the wof fandom to sexualize and/or fetishize qinter, and i want to talk about it.

first and foremost, qibli and winter are both minors. they are underaged. they’re literally the human equivalent of TEENAGERS. and to add onto that, theyre also reptilian feral non-human teenagers in a children’s book series (but that's another discussion for another time). yet somehow that never stops people from making nsfw fanart, writing explicit fanfiction, or animating shit of them suggestively.

it’s disturbing not just because of the age issue but because of how completely desensitized people have become to this sort of behavior in fandom spaces. there’s this idea that “they’re fictional, it’s harmless, just scroll if you dont like it” but fiction can absolutely reflect the way people think. ESPECIALLY in a fandom that consists primarily of impressionable children . if you’re normalizing the hypersexualization of underage dragon boys, what does that say about the space you’re creating?

but it’s also not just about age or species either it’s also the way their personalities get reduced into stereotypes tailor-made for mlm fetishization. qibli is flattened into some overconfident devilish flirt who exists solely to throw pickup lines and charm the tsundere out of winter. and winter gets turned into some cold alpha, until he gets “tamed” by qiblis charm. does that sound familiar?? it’s the same dynamic that fandoms love to assign to mlm ships.

and what makes this worse is how normalized it all is. people will scroll past suggestive qinter art and not bat an eye. i see way too much borderline nsfw of them online (not so much on here, but its lowkey a problem on woftok). the way you turn queer-coded teenage dragons into objects of your sexual fantasies says something about how you view real gay people. and what it says isn’t pretty.

idk maybe this is too "woke" of me or whtv but ive seen way too much suggestive content of them and it really sucks to see this fandom sour the ship, because genuinely their dynamic is so interesting to explore. this isnt anything new by any means, ive just seen some content over on tiktok that made this all resurface in my mind so i wanted to share my thoughts. anyways get your shit together wof fandom😐😐
