Four let out a low whistle, rummaging through Legend’s stuff. Legend was an idiot, and told Four that he could take anything if he wanted. Legend is sweet, but oh is he stupid. You should never ever say something like that to the raven, because he will take it seriously. Four is a thief—it’s in his nature to steal. It’s just so natural to him. Maybe not for the others, of course, but for Four it’s as normal as breathing. Four likes shiny things and trinkets and small weapons and anything he can get his hands on. You’d think he was a crow, or a magpie, but no. Four is a raven, through and through. His wings are a deep black with purple tints—at least, that’s what Four sees.
