In order to not set myself off on a rant, especially due to my lack of knowledge on these situations, then Ted Cruz is the zodiac killer.

Hello, I'm not sure if I'm demiromantic or not... The only crushes I've had are on best friends that I've already had for around a year. But, I've never gone out looking for romantic relationships that much, so I'm not sure if that is the only way I can have a crush. (Been focused on school.) Do you think that sounds enough like demiromaticism for me to use it as a label?

Absolutely. Trust me - alloromantics get crushes on people they don't know at all, people they just met, people they only vaguely know... You don't have to be actively looking for a partner to crush on someone, if you do in fact feel romantic attraction in an alloromantic pattern. It sounds to me like you're demiromantic, but most importantly - you feel that you are demiromantic, so you are.
