So
Cyclonian version of the previous post!
Cyclonian designs!!
i had fun with these lol
Starting Mermay off with Ravess. Her design was based on an old ask I got, but I never got it in sketch form.
Saw a post the other day about the Talon commanders being a found family and unfortunately for Snipe, I think this would be the dynamic.
Ravess, thriller, animal, feather, violin, pearl
The Colonel’s latest treasure, the only ‘dragon pearl’ in existence, got caught in the crossfire of another skirmish between the Storm Hawks and the Talons. Unfortunately for Ravess, Cyclonis is all too happy to throw her to the furious mob boss as a ‘hostage’ while Cyclonia prepares an ‘adequate replacement’. Not trusting the Empress in the slightest, Ravess frantically tries to find ways to endear herself to the Colonel, playing her violin on his whims, wearing the dresses with feather motifs… she quietly seethes at the unspoken message that she’s nothing more than a songbird in a cage at another’s mercy.
As the deadline for Cyclonia to produce another rare treasure grows closer, she gets a message snuck in via carrier-crow: no one is coming. She’ll have to save herself. Oh, and for some reason the Storm Hawks damned monkey is held hostage too. (Unlikely alliance where Ravess and Radarr team up to escape the Atmos mafia)
"Trespassers… in our… skies…"
"You wish to reach… the stars… we… shall carry you there…"
Happy Alien Abduction Day! 👽👾 Have some work break sketches of my Stratosphere rewrite where Ravess gets to channel her inner Ellen Ripley!
With no way to reach the Cyclonian Strato-Station, the Storm Hawks are forced to wait out Ravess's barrage until a window for escape presented itself. Stork takes this opportunity to talk about all the horrific creatures that supposedly live in the Stratosphere, including the deadly, territorial strato elves. It's written off as his usual cryptid ramblings by the others, entertaining but not taken seriously.
Suddenly, after hours of waiting, the cannonfire stops. The Storm Hawks flee outside the battle station's range, assuming the platform had run out of fuel or Ravess had gotten bored.
Little did they know that Ravess and her crew were being forced to live out their own personal horror movie courtesy of one of Stork's not-so-imaginary monsters.
