"i don’t hate humanity, i think humans live such beautiful lives. short, fleeting, but perhaps that’s what makes it so admirable that they still seek to fulfill their desires, despite knowing all things will end.”
an amiable smile appears on his face -- one an old friend would give to another.
“of course there are misguided fools who think because they desire eternity, they can achieve it.” it’s laughable. pitiable efforts from humans who think they can become gods, forgetting they are mere mortals not even worthy of standing besides one.
“now, what are you?” he asks. words drip like honey, tainted with poison. he invites the human in front of him to come closer, speak to him about those hidden desires underneath whatever facade he wears. he asks, curiously, “what do you desire? are you admirable or are you merely ignorant?”
