Does anyone else listen to Raw Fabrics? Or is it just me?
SINGLE REVIEW: Raw Fabrics – Slip Away
“Slip Away” is the second release from an as yet unreleased and presumed new Raw Fabrics record, succeeding the slower, darker and more desperate “Get Me The Hell Out of Here.” It’s a Raw Fabrics of a completely new look, however, and one more hungry and up for it than ever.
Jack Bruno is the singer, songwriter and all round central musician for his band; perhaps more so than he would like to have planned. Drug addiction and narcissism resulted in the near demise of not only his professional life, but his personal life, too. His partner of five years left him; just as his band mates did, one by one. That hasn’t stopped him, though, as his perseverance has powered him through recording all elements of his band’s music alone – production, vocals, guitar, bass and drum programming. The result is a finely crafted sub-three minute Electronic-based Punk track.

NEW TRACK: Raw Fabrics - Get Me The Hell Out Of Here

Granted, there’s quite a back story to Raw Fabrics: In 2015, everything unraveled for Raw Fabrics, but singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Jack Bruno picked himself up and put it all back together. Luckily Jack Bruno keeps on going, because… here’s a rather interesting artist who obviously isn’t done yet with making music, as the ultracool “Get Me The Hell Out Of Here” is proof. L.A. alt-rockers Raw Fabrics had a good thing going, showcasing their dance-punk-derived electricity with singles along with two EPs in 2014 and ’15. Behind the music, though, frontman Jack B. Franco was torching relationships due to his problems with drug and alcohol addiction. Bandmates excused themselves from his life, as did his girlfriend. So, after “a moment of clarity,” he checked himself…
