Fic time!  Well....the first four chapters of a fic. But a fic nonetheless.  I meant to finish it all the way before posting, but at this point, I'm afraid if I don't start posting it, it'll be stuck in editing hell forever. I'm going to do something different here, and post this whole thing straight to my AO3, because this is absolutely already way too long for a single LJ post.  

ANYWAY, please read, and give me feedback if you'd like! (I would love it if you did. It's the only way I will learn.) Story: STOMP! Fandom: L4D, Respect a Woman AU, Cured setting Length: 14399 words and counting Characters: Juan Rivera, Sha, Jockey, Hunter (so far) Pairings:Hunter/Smoker, Juan/Sha (future. Maybe.) Warnings: Swearing, violance, self harm and generally unhealthy behavior...none of this is particularly graphic, I think, but it is worth mentioning. I make a note on the most worrisome chapter. Summary:  One of Juan's music buddies is putting on a performance in the Curetown square, and Juan decides to drag Sha out to watch her. (It was totally for his own good. Totally. Guy needs to get out more.) Really...when you put a cured witch, who can very easily be forced into a dangerous relapse state by the mere presence of even vaguely threatening survivors, into close proximity with a lot of survivors, who do not feel at all comfortable around said witch...what could possibly go wrong?...how about everything? SKETCHDUMP yeah let's go with bot the least and most informative pic from the thing in regards to the actual content why not.  

For those of you not in the know: the character in the Fox suit there is meant to be a deliberately over-the-top parody of the worst kinds of internet denizens all mixed into one truly terrible character. 

-I did not create her.

-she is not based on any real person, no celebrities to were harmed, any resemblance to any person living or dead is entirely coincidental etc etc

-that above statement said, I have met plenty of Foxies in my time. No, I will not name names.

MORE OLDER SKETCHDUMP STUFF YOU SAY! I DO say.

Words and Gestures or in which communication is a bigger issue for Sha than normal Fandom: RAWverse, Cured AU (kinda meant to be in continuity with the unfinished 'zombie on a leash' story) Word Count: 7,805.  No, really, almost 20 pages. I am so sorry about this. Characters: Juan, Cured! Witch/Sha, Cured! Tank/Tora, Cured!Lady Smoker, Cured!Lady Hunter, Cured!Lady Jockey, Cured! Lady Charger, Cured! Charger Barry, Cameo by Veloxyll's mad scientist OC, passing reference to Cured!Warlock (who is overdue for a proper appearance in one of these things.) Pairings: Heavily implied Smoker/Hunter (probably safe to assume that's the default for my stuff), implied Sha/Tora (how the hell did that become canon, it was supposed to be a joooooooooke) Warnings: Language, Heavily implied character death (directly stated at one point, but never depicted), violence, And ONE Incredibly Surreal Scene that is a bit hard to follow maybe Summary: So, how did Juan end up looking after Sha in the first place?  This is...well, PART of the story of how it happened. This could probably qualify as hurt-comfort, I guess.

Ok, so I really like to write stories. No, correction...I like coming up with stories, and then making up doofy little scenes for these stories.  Random snatches of dialogue, brief scenarios that don't affect the overall plot, little bits of character building...things that either get me so off track that I take forever to finish a longer story, or cute little things that can't make the final cut for longer stories because they bog down the narrative too much. THIS IS ACTUALLY BECOMING QUITE THE PROBLEM FOR ME, because in addition to the book-in-progress which hasn't progressed much lately, I also have something like...4 or 5 unfinished fics in the works, plus countless that haven't gone much past the idea stage. And i just keep getting bogged down with these little scenes! So, I did what any logical person would do...I made a separate file just for these doofy little ficlet scenes.  And...somehow...two days after doing this, I already have an 8 page Word document with NOTHING BUT these little things. All of these are set in the Curetown AU, and the vast majority of them have to do with the daily lives of Smoker's ex-boyfriend, Juan (survivor) and my weirdo OC character, Sha (here, a cured male witch.)  Juan is Sha's volunteer helper for REASONS THAT I WILL GO INTO MORE LATER if I ever get around to finishing the relevant fic.
