Does Myrik have a wing design?
Also, how does one care for Myrik's wings? Are they brushed? Oiled? Both? Like this?
(ignore my scrawl-) Please, indulge my interest in wing care :D
Myrik's wings are incredibly ornate, despite being heavy and cumbersome and annoying. They are more for fashion than function, especially since Myrik is unable to use them to fly. The dorsal side of them are much darker and have less sparkles, with the dark swirling patterns.
Myrik's wing care routine is very simple. He just brushes out the fur at the tips and around his neck, or asks Rays to do it. He does this at least every two weeks, or weekly if he's going to more places with dust where his wings drag on the floor.
The reason he doesn't do any more is because the wings are a curse. They are cursed to be sensitive and uncomfortable and to cause paralyzing pain when trying to cut them off or clip them or anything adjacent. They are a punishment for having power. Trying to oil them or trim them would hurt him, and he doesn't want to risk that. He hates being in pain, after all.
