Confession:

Amrita is so freaking pretty it’s low key unfair

My take on Amrita so far that people would hate me for:

- Amrita was always left behind by Devi, Sara and Radha which made her bitter.

- To not remain a pariah or be gambled by the Dozen, Amrita cemented her place in the Dozen by marrying Raj even if not for love.

-Devi is a bad friend to Amrita but not to Radha and Sara.

-Raj Doobay sent Amrita to her death on the night of the massacre at the mahavidya temple.

- Amrita is literally the girl who is always left out and has to rely on herself or her barely present brother because the people she calls friends will always leave her behind.

- She doesn't waste time dallying around like Devi. She got what she wanted through any means necessary.

- Amrita is the only character that relatively has any form of character growth.

What do you think of Amrita?

I think she is given too much shit for the amount of things she ACTUALLY is responsible of. Like let's not dwell into the context or try to make up a history of deceits, lies and all.

Remy's dialogues are very straight-forward, you actively have to go out of your way to misinterpret it. This woman writes so clearly I am actually suprirsed anyone hates Amrita for that part specifically.

Amrita situation was effectively stupid, but again when it happened she was a mere teenager. I will not hate a fucking teenager for having a crush.

It was the adult's responsibilities to stop this bullshit instead her own blood relative decided to use her as a mean to an end. And now she has to live the consequences of a dumb teenage crush because SOMEONE snooped in and sealed what was supposed to be just a crush.

By doing fucking Blackmail at the dawn of a fucking prophecy. True Natural 1 moments.

And from the wiki, girl lived with that consequence for her whole life. I think she is already being punished enough. Having a shitty spouse that don't love you is more then enough of a punishement.

Like yes. She is responsible for how she got there but also she is not 100% responsible at all not only because she was a minor but also because she is not the one who fucking blackmailed her future spouse into this forced marriage.
