Sakshi face reveal in the end!
"Kumari Sakshipriya Sharma is my bride to be." Ratan declared to everyone present but then to Sakshi, he whispered "Mama Śaktiḥ..."
Sakshi's smile vanished, the look of anger formed on her face. She became grim and wanted to sink her claws into this audacious demi-god.
"What do you think you're doing Mahadeva?" She asked him angrily, "How dare you declare a lie?"
"A lie?" Ratan asked before taking her hand in his, letting his energy dance with hers. "Mahadevi, I just want to bring you back to the temple...why are you overreacting?"
Seeing that this was something beyond his guests, Christian ended the gathering immediately, sending home the British aristocrats and keeping only the high ranking Dozen nobles.
Vidya was smirking. If Ratan proves his claim true then Sakshi cannot challenge Deviya as she, like him, won't be able to interfere in mortal affairs any longer.
"Rita-Shiv, can you explain what is going on?" Ram asked as he was confused as well.
Of all his visions, this was one the brahmin never saw for tonight, so what really happened to Ratan in the last 20 minutes for him to announce such a thing?
"Lord De Clare wouldn't believe this but..." The demigod trailed off and smiled. "I was visited by Shivaya himself...his skin was smeared with ash, the Ganges flowed in his mattered locks...Ram you should have seen him." He spoke towards the end in awe.
"Get to the point." Sakshi couldn't help but snap as she felt her older rage returning tenfold. She felt like tearing him apart.
Ratan turned to her and knelt.
"Shivaya said that within you lies my Shakti, my Rita-Shakti...you can marry no one besides me Sakshipriya as it would be an insult to Mahadev and Mahadevi's bond."
"ABSOLUTELY NOT!" Kamal thundered. As he did, Sakshi was surprised. Why was this 'thing' standing for her?
"Even if Sakshi wasn't Rita-Shakti, I would have refused." The bear continued, "Her alliance with me may have been broken off but, I will not allow even the divine to barter her like cattle."
"Kamal Rai! Watch your tongue!" Ram thundered but was silenced when Kamal raised his hand. "No one disrespects Miss Sharma or Lady Sharma in my presence, not even a Demi-god."
Sakshi grit her teeth. As thankful as she was that Kamal stood up for her, she was still angry at him and Deviya.
Ratan grimaced. "Very well then but remember, Sakshi cannot wed anyone but me. If she does, a fate worse than death awaits whoever she weds."
Saying that, the Demi-god turned to leave.
"You cannot change the fate I have written for my Sakshi!... You're not even a shred of Mahadev! Even he knows better than contradict what I have planned!" A distorted voice came from within Sakshi.
When she opened her eyes again, her eyes were red and bloodshot, her skin darkened. Her hair came unbound and wild.
Ram screamed and clutched his left eye. He alone knew who was speaking through Sakshi now. It was not the naagin of the Dozen anymore.
"Amma Shamshan Kali-ma..." He murmured as he tugged off his eyepatch and gazed upon her.
His left bled as she glared at him then turned her attention to Ratan. She was angry and her presence tortured the brahmin, forcing him to see the bhootb and pretas that followed her here.
Ratan felt fear now. This was not how Rita-Shakti supposed to feel. She was supposed to be kind and nurturing as Parvati, not so full of rage.
"I will not let a cowardly demigod who only favors the nobility marry Sakshipriya!" Shamshan Kali declared loudly through her vessel. "And if anyone challenges me then here..."
Shamshan Kali's energy came out of Sakshi's body, Christian caught his beloved's body before she fell backwards.
The Rita-Shakti energy came out of Sakshi next and landed on Shamshan Kali's palm. "Rita-Shiv will never have a Rita-Shakti!"
Yet just as the goddess was going to crush the energy orb, Amrita came to her feet and held her feet, a brass urn of dhaar and milk sat beside her.
"Mother please....please calm down." She asked as she touched the raging goddess's feet. The deity looked at the brass urn then to Amrita.
The girl understood. She turned the urn for the goddess then dropped a little at her feet and the rest? Amrita was far too short to drop it on Shamshan Kali. The goddess smiled now. Her maya lifted the urn out Amrita's hands and let the milk-dhaar pour over her.
Amrita took her blessings with a sweet smile on her face. Radha grimaced from afar.
"My sweet girl...your fate was the worst one written here..." The goddess spoke gently to Amrita once she became calm before gazing with pure hatred to Raj and Radha.
"2 altars and one brahmin who breaks his oath to both...those who have cheated you will pay.." Shamshan Kali blessed Amrita before turning to all in the Dozen.
"My presence will remain in Sakshipriya and the generation after her... Rita-Shakti will be born only from Sakshipriya's bloodline..."
She stopped then gazed at Christian and an unconscious Sakshi.
"Take care of my daughter..."
The goddess and the orb of Rita-Shakti energy returned to Sakshi, causing the younger heiress to jerk awake. Christian lays her on the couch with a gentleness no one saw before. The members of the Dozen looked on in shock.
Ram held a handkerchief to his left eye as the blood kept pouring from it. Ratan left, gravely insulted by everything that happened.
He simply wanted to aid Sandhya. He didn't want his Shakti to disrupt an aatman's purpose in Samsara. His want has caused him to lose his Shakti for 2 full generations worth of time.
Sakshi on the other hand had no recollection of Shamshan Kali's trance upon her. "What happened?" She asked before whimpering. The world was spinning for her, and beneath her skin was a uncomfortable feeling.
"Nothing has happened my love... Nothing besides your goddess blessing us and Amrita..." Christian answered to his beloved. He places a kiss to her forehead. "Thank god you're okay."
Amrita came to Sakshi's side.
"You should sleep dhidhi...Tian and I will handle everything."
Trusting the younger ones words, Sakshi let herself rest. Once she did, that was when Amrita and Christian both looked at each other and straightened up.
"An interesting short-lived alliance?" He murmured. She smiled and shook her head in agreement.
They both turn to the Dozen.
Kamal noticed a glint in his sister's eyes, a cold glint that was enough to tell him who gave her tutelage.
"Mr Vaish, your marriage proposal to Sakshi dhidhi is denied not only by my brother, but by Mahakali herself." Amrita began firmly then let Christian speak.
"None of you all have right over my Priya..." Christian continued to everyone present, "She is her own person...she can do as she likes and now, her groom is me."
Vidya, who was silent the whole time, stepped forward and spoke sternly like the sharpness of steel first to Amrita.
"You aren't Lady Doobay yet, you cannot make decisions for the Dozen like that." Then she spoke to Christian, "No one owns your betrothed, in fact I bless this union."
The maharani then turned to the shocked members of the Dozen. They were all surprised that she blessed this union. Wasn't she rooting for Deviya?
But in truth, Vidya would always take the side which the Dark mother favoured and if Sakshi marrying Christian was the right side? so be it.
"Tonight was eventful, we will all meet tomorrow at my estate and discuss further. I am exhausted now." Vidya announced and motioned for her young lionesses to follow her.
Saraswati and Radha follow her out, Radha shoots Amrita a cold glare as she leaves, a gentle touch to Raj's hand on her way out.
Amrita doesn't react, she instead turns to Kamal. "I'll stay here with Sakshi-dhidhi, Take Deviya home."
Kamal snorts like a disgruntled bull rather than a bear.
"You haven't grown enough to boss me around." He then flicks Amrita's forehead before turning to Lord De Clare. "I will be taking Miss Sharma to her home. She is unmarried and it wouldn't be wise if she stays her by you."
"It wouldn't be wise?" He repeats Kamal's words, as if mocking the irony, "Fine...but when she wakes and performs a tandav on you all, do not call me to quell her wrath."
Kamal ignored Christian's warning and gently lifted Sakshi up from the couch. Deviya, who was a silent observer to all this, watched on in jealousy.
Her man was carrying her sister. The sister who wasn't even hers by blood, just a bastard their parents found years ago.
She grit her teeth so hard, it hurt.
"You stole my backing and now, you're in my man's arms. What's next?"
"I'll have to take extreme measures to secure what is mine." She murmured to herself in anger.
Kamal on the other hand kept his gaze on Sakshi's sleeping face. He suddenly remembered the days he was her betrothed...
Kamal laid beside Sakshi as she slept in his arms during their canoe ride over the river, a small surprise he had planned for her so she could relax.
She spent all her free time worrying and fussing over him, it was only fair he treated her too.
So he planned this trip with her to the Himalayas. Everything was going well so far. The food was perfect, their walks were calm. This was the highlight. His saahiba asleep in his arms.
"You're staring too hard Rai-saahib.." Sakshi whispered to him sleepily. Her eyes slowly opened, revealing her dark brown orbs. She smiles at him. "Stare any harder and we'll have an heir in 9 months time."
Kamal chuckled, a low vibrating sound in his chest. "Sharma-saahiba, I would mind having heir with you..." He whispers back to his betrothed. "Married or not, I'm sure we can make this canoe ride a bit interesting..."
He lifts her pallu off her shoulder, revealing the expanse of her coffee toned skin. Sakshi shivered and blushed. She didn't stop him. He didn't want to stop either.
He laid kisses down her neck, his beard tickled and poked her skin. Sakshi whimpers as he does. He reaches her collarbone. Just as he was going to bite down, intending to leave his mark upon her, she giggled and pushed him away.
"Shave, then I'll let you do more. Your beard tickles and pokes me." She laughed out and yet, she kissed him on his cheek. Kamal sighed begrudgingly.
"As you say my saahiba..." He murmured as he neatened her up and her close to his heart.
Kamal wondered to himself, "How could I throw away such a woman?...She stood with me through thick and thin. Now she has the dark mother herself speaking through her..."
He paused and gazed upon Sakshi's sleeping form again. "I am sorry my saahiba..."
