I think the best Basu woman to exist is Vidya in the sense that she was the last great matriarch and Remmy decided to butcher Radha down to a lovesick fool for Raj.
Radha had the potential in season 1 to be as vicious as Vidya but all that got butchered down to a meowing kitten who will only shake her head to Raj's whims. I can make a video about this but no, I won't.
And no, Amala is not even a shred close to Vidya. I will stand by my opinion. You all will come to defend Amala as she reclaimed her family name but no, she isn't as fierce and domineering as Vidya.

The Basu's
an: I'm so sorry if I used any harmful stereotypes for the Goddess Kali
Vidya Basu was a woman.
It was already cruel that her husband passed away but having the dozen to simply suggest that Doran should be the head of the family was simply outrageous.
"You do know that if you were a simple woman you would have been burned alongside your husband or become a white widow."
The Other half of the dozen were stunned by the statement, Vidya however opened her eyes, feeling the Dark Mother whispering to her.
"This fool would lead everyone here to their death, do they know that?"
The dozen watched Ram Doobay, the younger brother of Raj Doobay 's eye turn green.
"Mother's here."the timid voice said.
They turned to Vidya , who's eyes bleed out blood.
"You dare oust a Basu?"
"No..."
"Then how dare you suggest that I, a Heir of the Basu family should become a white widow. What happens when I leave? When my dear brother, who doesn't have the blood of The Dark Mother running in his veins become the heir?"
"Kill a Basu and we lose our hearts."a grave voice rang out .
"Exactly which is why I shouldn't be hearing nonsense from you."
The dozen bowed their heads down in shame.
"Good let them be ashamed for suggesting a idiotic idea."
It didn't come as a surprise when the two Dozen members that challenged Vidya's role as the head of the Basu family were killed.

Saraswati Basu hated the fact the was chosen.
She didn't want to have The Dark Mother whispering to her head. She remembers how the first time when it happened.
Sara was playing with Radha, Amrita and Devi horses.
"One day I will ride a horse towards the sunset, showing my brother that I don't need him to watch me anymore."exclaimed Devi as she swung her wooden sword.
"I wish, Kamal would hunt me."
"Unlike the two of you, we are twins, it would take our mother and uncle much more time to look for us."
The girls giggled and continued to play until a soft voice rang out.
"Child."
"Huh?" Sara looked around, wanting to see where the voice was.
"What are you looking for?"asked Radha looking closely at her twin.
"The was a voice somewhere."
"Maybe you are tired. Let's go and take a break."suggested Devi.
The girls walked to the tree in the Basu garden, quietly chatting to themselves until it happened.
The girls saw Saraswati 's eyes turn red , blood oozing out of her eyes until they screamed.
"Help! Help! Aunt come help us! Something is wrong with Sara!"
Radha quietly walked to Sara, trying to calm her down.
"Sara...is that you?"
Sara looked at her sister, a voice not like Sara's came out of her.
"I choose your sister."
Vidya came out rushing to the girls until that voice made her stop.
No.
Kali was not ment to choose Sara, she was ment to choose Radha, it was ment to be that.
"You better believe it."
The Dark Mother, who found home in her youngest confirmed what she was spiralling about.
Sara looked at Deviya Sharma, who was worried about her friend stilled when she saw her walk towards her.
"You lived through every live, this is your last."
That's when Sara came back, eyes returning to her colour and fainted.
That day they all swore to never talk about that day again.

She was working at an office job, working exceptionally and often praised by her employers.
Unfortunately they were others who were jealous that an Indian women was doing better than them.
"You, are you sleeping with the boss?"the condencending voices rang.

The women surrounded Jyotsana, wanting to beat her down. She was not a stranger from being cornered by people, especially the policemen that often harass her.
"You may lie to yourself but you are a Basu."
"Huh?"she looked around at the voice, the three women who were crowding her looked at her with their noses at the air .
"Are you mad?"
Kali was not pleased, "Oh well I thought that we will be civil."
They don't want to be civil, I proved myself at any challenge and yet I'm looked down due to my heritage and the colour of my skin ,thought Jyotsana.
Dear child your mother made a mistake by making you run away. I'll comfort you.
Jyotsana didn't remember what happened next.
The woman found herself in her apartment, getting ready for work , this time she was wearing a purple sari, it was one of those days when they wouldn't mind if what you were wearing, as long it was respectful and within the dress code of the office.
