This is something that really bothers me. I hate how there’s jump scare music whenever Hannah appears. Hannah’s not scary! Being nonverbal doesn’t make her scary. She’s just standing in her house where she lives. 🙄 I don’t like that Hannah’s disability is being used this way.
Hannah has similar senses as Lada, but no one pays attention to her. Not the priests or even Lada. Why isn’t Lada trying to communicate with Hannah more? They’re supposed to be tied, yet they have no relationship.
I would really like to see the story from Hannah’s point of view the way we sometimes see Ozar’s. She sees stuff too. She seems to be even more connected to the supernatural than Lada is, and she knows more than Lada does. So let us see what she’s seeing. Give her some value to the story instead of just using her as a gimmick.
I’m really scared that the person the gods want to sacrifice will be Hannah. “There can only be one.” It’s just a horrible, cruel way to treat and portray a person with a developmental disability.

If **** is ********'s next of kin. Would it not be possible for Hannah to be the girl in Ozar's visions? If **** is the new Mara and the Gods themselves need a new body, then doesn't it mean the same applies to the the Three Sisters? 🤔
I definitely think Hannah can see Vereya’s spirit even when Lada can’t. She’s probably the one Vereya was referring to at the end of season 1, the one who was helping Vereya to visit Lada. Hannah probably doesn’t react badly to Lada’s implication that they might meet Leshy in the forest (S1E2, iirc) because she’s used to spirits.
It’s interesting that here, Lada’s eyes are shut, but not covered like Vereya’s. Hannah can’t - or, struggles to? - speak, and here her mouth is covered. Vereya can’t, or struggles to, be seen. Lada can see Vereya in her dreams, which fits with her eyes only being closed, not concealed. Her ears are covered, yet she can still hear the spirits—so long as she’s unconscious, anyway. It’s also interesting to note that Lada is the one to cover her sisters’ mouth and eyes, where in turn they cover her ears. For her? Do they each carry the burden of their power together, so it’s easier to bear, and therefore this covering each other in the loading art represents protection? Support? It’s clearly partly a show of their Ties.
And also… Here, Vereya is wearing the flower crown from when she died, but not the dress. We haven’t seen Hannah in this blue flower crown yet, have we? But Lada can wear that headband when she’s going to attend Vereya’s funeral and trizna. So that’s two ‘life-changing’ events - hers and Vereya’s - connected with a headband and a flower crown, but we still have yet to see those outfits used, iirc, and Hannah’s blue flower crown come up; plus, of course, we haven’t seen Hannah’s eyes glow in the story. It seems we have at least one more life-changing event, likely something for Hannah specifically, since Lada & Vereya technically got one each. Another festival, maybe? And the outfits are used then, as well as Hannah’s flower crown?
Anyway. I wonder if there’s any significance to Hannah & Vereya having full sleeves, while their other sister does not? Their connection to the Haze is very obvious, as it seems to embrace them and flow from them, but doesn’t swallow them up. Oh! Btw, did you all notice this part?

I wonder if Lada's sister Hannah have autism or a mental disability. Judging from the way she was smiling and laughing in the forest during the funeral and Lada had to reprimand her shows shows me that she may be just that. I mean seriously the whole family doesn't seem to even want to believe their family member died but Hannah acts like it's just another day.
I feel for Hannah in the Haze and I hope she gets a good ending because the way she has been treated by both the characters and the author makes me so sad
I didn’t want it to be Hannah, but I didn’t see this coming and maybe I should’ve.
I feel so bad for Ozar. He’s given everything to the gods. They torment him with their whispers, but do nothing for him. He’s lived a shell of a life. Now they take his sister. Those gods are just straight up assholes!
I really agree with Novak. On the other hand, I hate to think that Siana’s sacrifice was in vain. But it probably is. The way things are going, there will be no happy ending. They’re all doomed like Novak said.
I really want to know what’s going on with that Stranger. I really wish we could see things from Hannah’s point of view. She’s a really interesting character that’s completely ignored. I really hope her going off into the woods isn’t the last we see of her.
High Priestess warning Lada about asking questions makes me wonder if this is the author telling us that there will be no answers to any of our questions. She’s written all this and there are still no real answers. We still don’t know who killed Vereya, who the stranger is, how and why Lada called Novak, the truth behind Tata’s origin, who the naked lady in the forest is… It’s all just pointless doom.
Season 1 was so good that I got so invested in this little village. I feel like this is going in the same direction as ABH. We fell in love with the mystery and the characters. Now it’s just a slow, agonizing wait for death. 😫
