i'm feeling doubtful about this theory but i wonder if SOL's Leslie is related to the monsters and all (maybe a magical/powerful(?) being who's skilled enough to disguise as a human, and the diguise doesn't wear off quickly) and our relationship with her will have an impact on future outcomes
(i'd like to believe our first meeting with her is the Real Her, but then somewhere along the way she got kidnapped and is replaced by an non-human being)
