They never give an official explanation as to why, but everyone speculates (I don't remember if the author said something too). In the case of HHW, I think it was the low popularity. The first few episodes are a bit dull because there's a lot of language about boats, and some people didn't like it, they found it boring. It's a much "quieter" story too, there's nothing supernatural about it, which may not please a lot of people who like more energetic and "shocking" stories (? idk if this is the right word for this), there's a lot of cool inclusions (which is a positive point, but unfortunately a lot of people still don't see it that way).

It's really a shame, because it's a relaxing, comforting story and the characters are very good! I'd like to know more about this post-apocalyptic world :(

Syren Grian x (unaware) human mumbo?

Grian tries not to use his syren abilities on Mumbo too often. But when they're in bed together, he lets it slip just a bit (after getting enthusiastic consent for whatever they're already doing). It's never strong enough for Mumbo to be unable to break it, but lulls him into it rather.

Mumbo likes to talk about how pretty Grian's voice is he just can't help but listen.

in 2018 when I bought my first marimo my cats kept drinking from its water and even slapped it out of its bowl/globe a few times (was different, smaller bowl than Im using now). I posted a pic about trying to cover the bowl's opening and then someone else reblogged it with a good joke. this made the post get a bunch of notes.

despite how the op photo showed only a marimo in the bowl, a bunch of people got mad at me and accused me of animal abuse. I guess they jumped to conclusions thinking glass bowl/globe of water = betta fish being mistreated.

sucked for me cause when I corrected people they often blocked me rather than acknowledging their mistake. some ignored me and didn't delete their reblogs so anyone could still read their accusations and get the wrong idea about me. i got some hate anons over this too.

this only lasted like a week though. after that my friends would mention marimo abuse to me as a joke but no one ever mistakenly assumed I was keeping a fish again... until today it seems.
