The lift slowed to a halt, and the doors slid open. Corr walked out into the hall and looked around. Kandosii...Corr hadn't seen anything like it before - a space station with a full ecosystem contained inside it? It was incredible!
He checked his omni-tool, looking to see that he was mapping out the area. After tapping a few lights on his wrist, a 3-dimensional map of the presidium appeared in his heads-up-display, a little red blip with "5108" next to it denoted his position.
The omni-tool disappeared as he dropped his arm and started towards the market district. He observed the civvies all around him, the audio-enhancers on his helmet picking up many different conversations.
"..but what if he leaves me? What will.."
"I'm telling you man, I just don't trust that volus..."
"...is why, Serviceman Chung, we do not 'eyeball it'!"
He started to switch external audio off, when he heard a familiar voice:
"I'm Commander Shepard, and this is my favorite store on the Citadel."
Corr actually paused, letting out an audible, "What?" as he turned towards that particular phrase. He stalked over towards the source of the audio and found a simple store, run by an Asari.
"Can I help you, sir? I have plenty of wares suitable to your given profession!" She said with a bright smile.
Corr looked at her through his helmet, almost dismissively. "I heard Shepard's voice over here. Thought it might be him."
The asari looked confused, then had a realization: "Oh! My apologies, sir, that was simply an audio recording from the commander! He lent his voice for an advertisement for my shop!"
She seemed a little too happy that Shepard had sold out. He'd make a mental note to talk with Jace about this. He recalled a comment she made that he hadn't noticed earlier, "How do you know my profession, ad'ika?"
She seemed slightly intimidated by his question - her body shifted nervously as he addressed her; "Well, sir, I assumed from your unusual armor and custom weapon that you were a mercenary. I have plenty of weapons and armor that would suit you, if you're interested, sir."
He smiled behind the blue glow of his HUD, "Thank you, miss, but I have everything I'll ever need," he patted his DC-17 lovingly, "I appreciate the offer. But, if Shepard isn't actually here, I must be on my way." He turned and headed for the courtyard below.
