“Um, I don’t know. I thought they looked kinda dashing.” (Lance)

“Well, they don’t look bad, but I need them,” Varian said, reaching for the gloves Lance had taken from him. “Unless you know how to solder and know which wires go where,” he motioned to the wires and circuit boards and chassis he was working with, “then go right ahead and keep ‘em on.”

🌟 Varian & Lance

Varian likes Lance a lot more than he shows. He gets annoyed with Lance getting in his way whenever he’s working on an invention or an experiment, but honestly, if Lance did ever really ‘get lost’ when he told him to, Varian would be a little upset.

If there’s someone bothering Varian, Lance is usually the first person he’ll tell. Not because he wants him to fight them or anything, but if there was to be any sort of incident, he’d want Lance backing him up. 

If Lance asks him to hang out, Varian will, but he’s always nervous to be the one to initiate hanging out because he’s worried Lance won’t want to and he doesn’t want to get rejected.

Lance is like the cool and fun brother he didn’t know he wanted (or needed) in his life.

Lance helps Varian out of his comfort zone and while Varian might act like sometimes its too much, he always appreciates the nudge from Lance.
