There must be 8 million versions of Breakout on the internet, and I don’t know that any of them are any good. I don’t know that I actually like RDBK, either. But! At a minimum, RDBK proves that even the oldest, tiredest formulae can still be the foundation of new ideas. 

The change is simple: you don’t lose if you miss the ball, you only lose if you run out of time. Any time you strike the ball, you launch it with super-speed. It streaks upward like a bolt of lightning, only losing momentum on its return trip, just as it returns to the paddle-line. Miss the ball, and you lose precious time waiting while it bounces around at normal speed.
