additional info starts here:

short synopsis of his lore and role in RE7 :

he was captured during a detain, exterminate, cure operation at the bakers residence and was trapped the processing area near the boiler room and the workshop

the idea is that Ethan would find him chained to the wall by his collar and he would use bolt cutters he would find in the neighboring rooms. choosing not to save him is an option but once freed Chester will start fighting beside Ethan with limited ammo that Ethan has the option to give him more or let him stick close like a damsel in distress (lol)(kind of like re4)

he'd get far enough until the marguerite fight but during the Lucas's section of the game where he makes Ethan return to the processing area to get the snake key he goes insane again because the mold got to him and has a short mini fight with Ethan, once he snaps out of it he'll lock himself in the incinerator room and wont be available for the rest of the game and you'll no longer be able to access the incinerator room

relationship with the winters:

after a few months of recovery, Chester's injuries where deemed to grave to return to his normal duties so he was transferred to the recovery and rehab division and was also transferred to the Europe branch for his safety. since he's still in worse shape but insisted he kept working and kept asking if Ethan was okay they assigned him to care for them in romania which he gladly accepted.

Ethan nor mia did not know if Chester was still alive or if he died in that house. so it was a very welcomed surprise to him when he showed up at his door one day with a gift basket and work attire. after explaining that he's going to care for them and check up on them daily they got close with each other eventually. and sooner or later confessed his feelings to them through a small dinner to which they all had a long talk about and accepted his confession and lived happily ever after and then re8 happens

Chester molded mutations:

my canon is that he would never really get this far into his infection, because if the mold made him aggressive towards Ethan he's just locking himself in the basement again in his moments of clarity to protect Ethan from getting hurt, and Himself from getting worse or going insane. but he would look like a really freaky werewolf and act like one kind of like the Lycans in re8 but make it re7 and moldy.

decided to finally throw my hat in the ring with an re sona now that i finally bit the bullet and watched through (yes, because im a coward) a good chunk of the games. still gotta watch 6 onwards but ive really liked the other ones. maybe in the future when im not such a scaredy cat ill play them myself.

so. welcome in to valerie mondragon, journalism student and a girl who's having the literal worst first day of school ever. and her last. she is evidently not doing the best but she is a mostly-one-woman-wrecking squad. as much as one can be, when they just watched their roomie's brains get splattered on their fuzzy pink carpet.

+ she goes on to work in the fbi (recon) because she can't do the whole civvie thing abt six months after the incident. at least they cant separate her from her and that fuzzy jacket.
