But what if it was Cassandra who escaped the Briarwoods and is permanently with VM (bookish and brilliant gunslinger, just like bro) and PERCY locked away with the Briarwoods (prob featuring some dark!fic threesome action), and obvi Keyleth and Vex fall in love instead because they always had a very femme-y, flirty chemistry. THEN they all rescue Percy and Vax falls in love with HIM, and Pike and Cass write long, pining, romantic letters to each other while Pike is away (with Cass feeling tainted by the touch of Orthax, Pike unsure because Cass seems so young even as an adult), and Grog and Tarry bone down at some point *cough sizekink cough*. That's basically the general idea.
