I got a call from the vet. He gave her a sonogram and couldn’t find anything. Did an x-ray and couldn’t find anything. She has just developed udders about 2 months after her first breeding because, in the words of the great not-a-goat vet, “she’s a goat.” According to him, milk goats just do that sometimes when they are on grass. Except she’s not. But, whatever. She’s healthy otherwise. And has a trimmed horn. Also, it’s not real milk so I shouldn’t drink it. Bah. So to summarize: this whole time the one I thought was pregnant wasn't. The one I thought didn't get knocked up was. I'm confused. Anyone have any thoughts?
