SUMMARY: in which yours and Leon's teenage kids decide to pull a prank from TikTok on him. (2k words)
WARNINGS: absolutely nothing, just a fluff domestic fic because i love dad characters. It's more like a RE universe where virus, zombies and monsters do not exist. RE9/Older!Leon + Fem!R. No use of Y/n. I chose the kids' names because yes.
English is not my fist language so feel free to correct me:)
Also, first time i write for this fandom and Leon so i hope i didn't make him too ooc🙏
If there was one thing your family LOVED to do, especially your children, it was playing pranks on your poor husband Leon and introducing him to the new trends that were taking over social media thanks to the younger generations.
Poor guy, most times you felt pity for him.
Leon was the kind of person who occasionally cracked a dad joke that no one but himself (and you 'cause you loved him) chuckled at. He never cared about news that weren't truly important; he didn't care if celebrity X had cheated on their partner or if fashion had changed from skinny jeans to baggy jeans.
He used his phone for the bare minimum; he didn't have stupid social media like TikTok that filled his kids' brains (and yours') with bullshit, and he didn't give a damn about the latest trends and challenges.
Leon was an old man.
So that's why his kids, his own flesh and blood, enjoyed making fun of him. And he just let them do it, most of the time, because he didn't care much, he was used to it. And although he seemed cold and stern, the truth was that the older he got, the more his heart softened for his family. He loved you and them with all his heart.
Leon was your old man.
"Ma, Ma"
It was a day like any other at the Kennedy house. You were in you and your husband's shared room, busy folding the seemingly endless mountain of laundry, when the voices of your son and daughter, Theo and Luna, echoed from the hallway just before they entered the room.
Theo, the oldest, let himself sit on the edge of the bed with a bounce, dangerously close to the freshly folded laundry, while his sister wisely decided to remain standing.
"Theo" you called him in that unmistakable tone that made him immediately stand up.
"Whops, sorry" he chuckled, but not entirely sorry. "Anyway, we want to ask you a favor. It's a new prank"
You stopped your work, giving him an unsurprised look. "If it involves fake blood and heart attacks, you can forget it" you said sternly.
You remember like it was yesterday when that foolish son of yours had the brilliant idea of pretending to have an accident in the bathroom, and you almost had a panic attack seeing that 'gory' scene. Theo thought he'd get a laugh out of it, but all he got were tears from you and a looong lecture from Leon.
Theo and Luna immediately shook their heads at your words, raising their palms. "No, no blood or anything this time, we swear"
You narrowed your eyes for a moment, scrutinizing him closely, and when you saw no trace of a lie, you decided to give him a chance.
"Hmm, let's hear it..." you conceded, as you began folding one of Leon's shirts again.
Theo sat on the edge of the bed again, this time making sure not to wrinkle the clothes under his butt, while Luna rocked back and forth on her heels.
"Okay, so we just watched a video on TikTok and Theo basically has to pretend to, like, snap back at you" she explained, adding even hand gestures to her words.
You furrowed your brows, giving them a confused look. "For the purpose of...?"
Theo smiled playfully, his eyes shining with mischief as he looked up at you. "Just to see how Dad reacts to it" he replied.
Your hands slowly stopped your work, your brows still furrowed as you considered his words. "What do you mean 'to see how Dad reacts?'" you asked them.
Luna positioned herself next to you, her phone already turned on in the palm of her hand and the TikTok app open, then she showed you the screen. "Look"
You shifted your gaze from Leon's shirt to the screen, watching the video. It showed a couple sitting on the couch, and the mother had asked her son for a favor, but he had responded with a snappy "Shut up, Mom!" shouted from the other room. The father had turned to look at his wife in shock, before standing up and marching toward his son, barking out a "Ayo, the hell did you just say??"
Luna turned to look at you enthusiastically. "There are so many more, and they're all hilarious! Every dad has a different reaction!" she said, scrolling each video with her thumb to show you.
You looked back at her, then at Theo, unconvinced. "And what would be, by all means, the point of this prank?"
"Oh come on, Ma" Theo rolled his eyes. "We all know Dad loves you and everything, but we really want to see how he'd react to something like this, okay? What would he do if his 'handsome and purely innocent' son talked back to his wife like that? Would he get angry? Would he not say anything? We want to know"
Luna nodded in agreement.
"Oh oh! And we'd be soo famous! We'll get tons of likes! Women LOVE protective men, i swear!"
You sighed, shaking your head in thought. "All you teenagers think about is likes and shares. I swear, you'll make your father and i go gray before we have to" you muttered, placing your hands on your hips. "Meh, i don't know..."
The two looked at you pleadingly.
"Come on, Mom!" -Luna
"It's completely innocent! And there won't even be fake blood this time!" -Theo
After a few seconds, you sighed again. These kids...
"Okay, i mean..." you conceded, waving a hand. "Do whatever you want, if you really want to. But only because it's harmless"
The two siblings bumped their fists, silently cheering, their minds already plotting how to put their plan into action. "Great"
Theo stood up. "Okay Ma, you don't have to do anything except give me a task i don't want to do, like... like cleaning or setting the table. Tonight, before dinner"
You stared at him with a lifted brow. "You don't do it even when i ask you to, Theo"
Luna nodded in agreement, and your son snickered sheepishly.
You continued. "But anyway, Dad's not stupid. It's not like you to act like this, and i think he'll catch onto this prank of yours. Are you sure it'll work?"
"Mom, please" Luna threw you a knowing look. "Honestly, i think Dad will be too busy making out with you to even notice"
And you immediately blushed a little.
"Get out of this room and let me finish my laundry"
So that same evening, after Leon had come home from work, said hi to you and the kids and taken a shower, while you were finishing the final touches for dinner, everything was ready.
Luna was leaning next to you against the counter, pretending to scroll on her phone, though in reality she had her camera ready while waiting for you and Theo to start acting. Theo was sitting at the table, playing with his phone at one of those games boys his age were obsessed with, while trying to keep a neutral but focused expression.
Leon had just arrived in the kitchen, finished his short but relaxing shower. He walked past Theo, ruffling his hair with a smile, and headed toward you.
"It's almost ready" you said, flashing him a sweet smile over your shoulder.
That wasn't fake, you weren't acting yet. Every smile you made was genuine even just at the sight of your handsome husband.
Leon smiled back as he approached you and one of his hands rested delicately on your hip, a gesture that had become automatic for him.
"Need a hand?" he asked, like he did every day, with anything. Typical of him. He might have had the worst day of his life, but he would never NOT offer to help you with something.
You shook your head, smiling reassuringly. "Don't worry" you replied, nodding toward his designated spot at the table. "You've been working all day, that's all you had to do. Sit down, we have two kids for a reason"
He chuckled and nodded, letting your smile 'command' him as he went to sit at the table. With his back turned, you glanced at both of your children, letting them know this was the right time, as you'd agreed.
Luna smirked silently and tapped the screen to start the video, while Theo continued playing.
"Theo, honey" you called, turning off the stove. "Could you set the table, please?"
Your son kept his eyes glued to his phone. "Can't you ask Luna?" he muttered as his fingers continued to tap the screen.
"Well, i asked you this time, not her" you continued with your calm voice. "Could you put that phone down for a minute and set the tabl—"
Theo then snapped as he rudely interrupted you, making the most annoyed expression he'd ever had on his face.
"Ugh, Mom, can you just SHUT UP for a minute?? Can't you see i'm playing??"
Luna covered her mouth with her hand to keep from bursting into laughter at her brother's acting.
But her smile faded a couple of seconds later, when the chair Leon was sitting on scraped loudly across the floor as he immediately stood up and your eyes widened a bit too.
Theo looked up at the sound, just in time to see his father now towering over him, and his heart skipped a beat. Before he could say anything, Leon quickly reached out and snatched the phone from his hands, clicking the screen off and putting it not-too-gently facedown on the table, making him jump a little.
"Dad—" Theo tried to justify himself, but your husband cut him off
"Is that the way you talk to your mother?" he hissed, fixing his usually kind but now stern blue eyes on his son's. "Hm?"
Theo opened his mouth, while Luna shot her brother an equally surprised and slightly intimidated look. Because even though they knew it would all go away as soon as they explained it was all just fake, seeing their father so angry was having a certain effect on them. And not in a good way.
"Wait Dad, it's just—" Leon cut him off again.
"I know for a fact that i didn't teach you that goddamn tone in this house, buddy, so either you apologize to your mother and do what she asked, or—"
"Leon, honey, wait"
Leon stopped when he heard your sweet voice calling him back, followed by your palm on his arm, and he turned to look at you.
"It's just a prank, love" you reassured him, rubbing your palm gently over his bicep. "Just a prank"
Leon furrowed his brows, his shoulders unconsciously relaxing under your touch, and his features softened. "What?" he muttered gruffly, turning to look back at Theo, who nodded frantically.
Luna, pleased with the video's success but still worried about the 'danger' her older brother was about to face, quickly added her own.
"I-It's a prank, Dad, we swear!" she said from behind you. "For uhm... for TikTok..."
Leon seemed to realize after a few seconds and let out a heavy sigh.
"Jesus, kids..." he quietly cursed, running a hand through his hair as he shook his head. "What kind of prank is this?"
Theo and Luna lowered their heads a little embarrassed, while you gave him an exasperated smile of your own.
"I told them it didn't make sense" you said, glancing back and forth between brother and sister. "But hey, at least no one had a heart attack this time"
Leon shook his head again, but his lips still curved upward, and he crossed his mighty arms before looking at Theo. "Why did you want to stage this stupid thing, hm?"
Theo shrugged. "We just wanted to see your reaction to us talking back to Mom. It was just an innocent prank" he confessed.
Leon scoffed, almost amused by the reasoning. "Innocent, yes, but still stupid. Like all the other pranks you've played"
He then reached out, gently flicking your son on the forehead, which made him squint.
"You don't need to make a video to prove to those 'social media' of yours what you already know" he said as he looked at both kids, calmer this time, but still serious. "If there's one thing i won't tolerate in this house, it's disrespect for your mother, my wife. Especially if it comes from my own children. So, if you don't want to see me really angry, you'd better not do something like that again. Am i clear?"
The two nodded simultaneously, mumbling "Yes, Dad" under their breath.
Leon observed them for a few seconds, making sure his words had stuck before nodding. "Good. Now set the table. Both of you. I'd appreciate it if we could eat now"
The two siblings nodded again, moving to set the table. And as they did so, Luna gave Theo a silent smirk, satisfied that she'd recorded everything, especially Leon's protective lecture.
Oh, TikTok would go crazy.
You watched them move around the kitchen with an amused smile. You had to admit, even if you weren't a fan of your kids' pranks, seeing your husband react like that and defend your honor gave you butterflies. Like almost everything else he did.
You patted his arm a few times to guide him back to his seat at the table, but before that he wrapped an arm around your waist, pulling you against his side for a moment.
"You gotta stop encouraging them with these things, hun" he commented, leaning his face down to speak against your temple, and you giggled, leaning against his lips.
"Well, as long as they don't hurt themselves or anyone else, i'm willing to let them do it"
Leon sighed again.
"All for those stupid 'likes.' They're gonna post that video anyway, aren't they?"
And immediately, your kids' voices echoed in the kitchen in chorus.
"Hell yeah!"
A few days later, Luna was ecstatic to see that the video of the prank on their father had achieved the success she'd hoped for.
And the best part was reading the comments.

SO GUYS, I WANTED TO TRY A NEW MODERN LIKE-SERIE WITH OUR FAVORITE OLD MAN
IF YOU HAVE TRENDS OR PRANKS THAT THE KIDS COULD PULL ON THEIR BOOMER DAD OR THEIR MOTHER OR FIC IDEAS, JUST LET ME KNOW^^
Pairing: Leon Kennedy (RE9) x younger female reader
Summary: Leon doesn't do jealousy... Except when it comes to you.
WC: 5.6k
Warnings: SMUT (Oral / fingering / P in V), Age-gap, insecure Leon
Notes: Kinda proofread? Also my first long fic so sorry if it sucks.
The briefing room always felt too small when you were in it with him.
Not physically–there was more than enough space for the dozen agents scattered around the table–but something about the presence of Leon S. Kennedy made the air feel heavier. Maybe it was the reputation. Maybe it was the quiet way everyone deferred to him without realizing they were doing it.
Or maybe it was because you knew him in ways they didn’t.
You sat at the desk, near the middle, arms loosely folded over some of the files that were spread around. Across from you, leaning back against the wall like he had all the time in the world, Leon looked exactly like he always did during briefings: quiet, controlled, giving nothing away.
All sharp edges and professionalism.
It was almost funny.
Because less than two hours ago, he’d been anything but controlled with you. Hands roaming over your body, and soft kisses on your skin as you woke up.
You swallowed the thought quickly, eyes flicking away before they could linger too long. That was the rule–no staring, no unnecessary attention, no romantic contact. Only a handful of higher-ups even knew about the relationship, and that was strictly on a need-to-know basis. Operational safety, they’d said.
Now, it was second nature.
“…intercept the exchange before distribution,” the handler droned on, clicking through slides that cast a blue glow across the room. “Bio-weapon shipment, suspected to be a modified strain. Both buyer and seller are considered hostile. You are authorized to seize all materials and eliminate all involved parties.”
Standard.
Your gaze flicked briefly to Leon again. He hadn’t moved. Arms crossed, one boot hooked casually against the wall behind him, head slightly tilted as he listened. God, he made it look easy.
“…this will be a three-unit operation.” That caught your attention. You straightened slightly.
Three?
You hadn’t been told that. The handler nodded toward Leon “Leon, you'll take lead.
Your third operative is-”
The door swung open and everyone looked up at the man who stepped inside, not looking the least bit apologetic.
He was younger–maybe late twenties–with an easy confidence that bordered on arrogance. His tactical gear sat comfortably on him, like he was used to wearing it, and he carried himself with the confidence of someone who hadn’t yet learned how badly things could go wrong.
His eyes swept the room once, quick and assessing. Then they landed on you and stayed there.
“Wow,” he said, voice light, amused. “It’s my lucky day.” You didn’t react. Didn’t give him anything. He stopped beside the table, gaze still fixed on you as it dipped–not subtly–down your body before coming back up again. “I get to work with a legend.”
You gave him a small, polite smile. “Try to keep up.” you replied with a subtle shrug. The man’s grin widened. Then, finally, he glanced past you–toward Leon. Leon hadn’t moved, still against the wall, just watching.
“…and a fossil.” the new guy added, tone teasing, almost playful.
You didn’t look at Leon. You didn’t need to. Leon pushed off the wall slowly, unfolding to his full height with that same unhurried ease that always made people underestimate him.
“Careful” His voice calm as always. “Wouldn’t want to peak during introductions.” A few more suppressed laughs. Tension broke, just slightly. The handler cleared his throat.
“Agent Hayes,” he said, gesturing to the newcomer. “You’ve already been briefed?”
“On the drive over.” Hayes confirmed easily. “Intercept, seize, eliminate. Standard stuff.” His eyes flicked back to you. “Should be fun.” You ignored the way your skin prickled under his attention but Leon noticed the slight shift.

The target point sat on the outskirts of a crumbling industrial zone–abandoned warehouses, rusted fencing, dead security systems.
You crouched behind a stack of rubble–broken concrete, scrap metals, failed experiments–scanning the perimeter through your scope.
“Two at the north entrance” you murmured into comms. “Armed.”
“Copy that” Hayes’ voice replied smoothly, casual but alert.
“The perimeter looks clean otherwise” you continued. “No visible snipers.”
“Doesn’t mean there aren’t any.” Leon said.
“Wouldn’t be a party without surprises.” Hayes added. You rolled your shoulders back, settling into position, looking through the sniper scope again.
“Ready when you are,” You said, letting them know you're ready.
“Move.” Leon ordered. Everything snapped into motion. Leon and Hayes broke from cover at the same time, fast and deliberate, closing the distance to the entrance before the guards could fully register what was happening. Their boots barely making a sound against the cracked concrete.
The first guard turned too slow. Leon was already there. A quick, efficient takedown. No hesitation, no wasted movement. The man dropped before he could even shout.
Hayes handled the second with equal speed, though his style was a touch louder, more force behind it, a little flashier. Still effective. The guard hit the ground hard, weapon clattering beside him.
“Entrance clear.” Hayes spoke into comms. You kept your scope trained, steady and patient, sweeping across the terrain and building.
Then a third man stepped out from behind a rusted support beam, rifle half-raised, eyes locked into Leon. You didn’t hesitate.
A single shot.
The crack of your rifle split the air. The man dropped instantly, crumpling where he stood.
“Third down,” you said calmly.
A brief pause.
“Damn. Remind me not to get on your bad side.” Hayes said, low and impressed. You ignored it, already rising from your position.
“Area’s still clear. No additional movement.” You descended quickly, boots finding familiar footing through debris and broken ground.
Leon's gaze flicked to you, only briefly, but cautiously. You gave a small nod. Even after all the years, missions, him knowing what you're capable of, nothing ever stops him from checking in with you. Hayes glanced between the two of you, but it was gone just as quickly as it came.
Both men stepped towards the door and you followed without a word, slipping into formation beside them.
“On me.” And just like that, you pushed inside.
Inside, the warehouse was dim, lit only by scattered overhead fixtures that flickered intermittently. Voices echoed from deeper within.
You signaled the others.
Three.
Two.
One.
You moved.
The takedown was fast, controlled chaos.
Gunfire cracked through the space, sharp and deafening. You dropped low, sweeping one target off his feet before disarming him, pivoting to fire at another rushing in from the side.
Where Hayes was loud, Leon was quiet. Where Hayes forced openings, Leon created them. Every movement was deliberate, every shot placed with lethal precision. You caught glimpses of him between targets.
“Behind you!” Hayes’ voice snapped your attention back just as a man lunged from the side. You reacted instantly, twisting out of reach and driving your elbow into his throat before taking him down.
“Got it,” you said.
“Nice” he murmured, stepping closer than necessary. “You’re even better up close.”
“Focus,” you said.
He chuckled softly, and from across the room, Leon watched. He didn’t say anything but the next time you moved, he was there. His hand brushed your arm as he guided you back slightly, positioning himself between you and the few remaining targets. His hand lingered a second longer than it needed to.
Hayes noticed. You saw it in the way his expression shifted–just briefly. The remaining targets went down quickly after that. You exhaled slowly, lowering your weapon.
“Package secured.” you reported, moving toward the case in the center of the room. “Bio-weapons confirmed.”
“Extraction’s inbound.” Leon said. “Lets head out.” He lifts the heavy case with ease and headed towards the door.
“Not bad for someone who was taught by an old man,” He said lightly.
“Not bad for someone who showed up late.” you replied, with a shrug, and he grinned.
“Guess I made a good first impression.” From the smirk on his lips you could tell he was proud.
“Jury’s still out.”
He laughed. The distant thrum of helicopter blades began to build overhead. You moved toward the designated point, stepping out into the open yard as the helicopter descended, wind whipping around you.
Hayes moved in close again as you waited for the rope drop. When it did you grabbed it without hesitation, climbing up. Hayes followed, then Leon last.
The ascent was quick, the ground shrinking beneath you as the helicopter pulled away from the site.
Inside, the noise was loud enough to drown most conversation. Yet still Hayes tried. He leant forward in his seat.
“Drinks after this?” he called over the roar.
“Not usually my scene.” You shook your head.
“Didn’t say no.” He tilted his head slightly when you look over at him. You shook your head again, in a sense of disbelief, he wasn't giving up.
Leon didn’t look at either of you but his jaw tightened. The rest of the ride passed in relative silence.

Back at base, the debrief was brief–Successful mission. Minimal complications. Objectives completed–Exactly what was expected.
As people shuffled out the room Hayes lingered. You acted like you didn't see him, gathering your gear, keeping your movements purposeful, aware of him approaching before he even spoke.
“So…” he said, stopping just within your space again. “You always turn down offers or?”
You slung your bag over your shoulder. “I don’t mix work and…whatever this is.” you said, gesturing between the small space between you. He studied you for a moment.
“Fair enough. I’ll wear you down eventually.”
You didn’t respond because Leon stepped in, joining the conversation. Standing close enough that your arms nearly brushed.
“Briefing’s over” Leon said coolly. “Surely there's somewhere else for you to be.”
Hayes looked between the two of you, a slight squint before going back to norm, like something clicked.
“Right,” he said. “Wouldn’t want to overstay my welcome.” He gave you one last look. “I’ll see you around.” Then he walked off. You waited until he was gone before you let out a slow breath.
The room had emptied, leaving just you and Leon now. Silence stretched between you for a moment.
“That guy’s a problem.” Leon muttered. You huffed a quiet laugh.
“He’s harmless.” You counter. Leon turned his head slightly, finally looking at you properly. You do the same before moving in front to look at him properly.
“He’s not harmless,” he said. “He’s reckless.”
“And you’re not?” You tilted your head. A faint smirk tugged at his mouth.
“Not like that.”
“You were jealous.” You stepped a little closer, lowering your voice. His expression didn’t change but you felt it.
“I was adjusting the situation,” he said, tone steady. You softly laugh, just an exhale through your nose.
“Right. Just happened to put yourself between us.” You moved a fraction closer, testing, watching him. His gaze dropped to you, slow, deliberate. It made something tighten low in your chest.
“Didn’t think you were the territorial type at work.” You tilted your head slightly.
“I’m not.”
“Could’ve fooled me.” Silence stretched for a moment.
“He was pushing.” Leon said finally, quieter now. “Seeing what he could get away with.”
“And?” Your eyes searched his. It was normally like this, having to prompt Leon to get more of an answer when talking about feelings. His jaw flexed, just slightly.
“I didn’t like it.” He admits, slow.
“Didn’t think it’d bother you that much.” His gaze dipped for half a second, then came back sharper.
“It doesn’t,” he said. You raised a brow.
“Leon.” A beat.
“…It does.” That pulled a faint smile from you. “Don’t get used to it,” he said, voice rougher now.
“Wouldn’t dream of it.” You held his gaze, placing a hand on his chest.
“We’re in public.” he reminded you quietly. You hummed.
“Barely.” You fob it off. “I meant what I said.” you flutter your lashes softly. “He doesn’t mean anything.”
“I know.” And he did. That was never the issue. The issue was everything else. The secrecy. The lines you couldn’t cross. The way you had to pretend none of this existed the second anyone else walked into the room.
You shifted back, moving your hand off of his chest.
“Let's go home,” you said softly.
“Yeah.” He grabbed his bag and you walked out to the carpark, getting into your separate cars to go to the same location.

The drive home was done in silence. The familiar streets blurred past Leon’s windows, city light and nightlife, but his mind wasn’t on the road. It was back in the warehouse, in the briefing room, on the helicopter. It was on Hayes.
He’s harmless, you’d said.
Leon’s grip tightened on the steering wheel, the new leather creaking under his fingers. He knew better. Men like Hayes weren’t harmless. Confident, entitled, seeing something they wanted and assuming the path to it was clear. He’d seen the look in Hayes’ eyes when he’d watched you move, when he’d stepped into your space. It wasn’t just professional admiration. It was hunger. A young, brash hunger that didn’t hide itself.
And why should it? Hayes was young, and talented. He had the physicality of someone whose body hadn’t been carved by decades of scars. He had a smile that was quick and still real. He could offer the kind of simple, open affection that Leon’s life had long since burned out of him.
The age difference had never felt so wide before. It was just a number, a fact. But tonight, it felt like a weight. Hayes’ teasing ‘fossil’ comment echoed in his mind, not as an insult, but as a reminder. Leon was a veteran of a war that reshaped him, built from trauma and resolve. You were… life. A vibrant, brilliant life. You cooked meals that filled the quiet apartment with warmth. You fell asleep on his chest, your breathing soft against his skin. You pulled him into slow dances in the kitchen when a good song came on the radio, laughing when he stepped on your feet.
These were the precious things Hayes likely still took for granted. The things Leon clung to with a quiet, desperate kind of devotion he could never say out loud. What if, one day, you wanted something easier, choosing a man without ghosts over one who carried a cemetery inside himself?
He pulled into the underground garage of your shared building, the engine turning into silence. He saw your car already parked, and the sight was both a comfort and a fresh twist of anxiety. You were home, and safe. You were his. But for how long?
The apartment was quiet when he entered, the only sound was the distant rush of water from the shower. You always showered first after a mission. Wash away the grime, the tension, the scent of violence and fear. He did the same. It was a way to leave the operational persona at the door.
He went to the second bathroom, stripping off the tactical gear with practiced efficiency. The hot water was pure relief, over knotted shoulders and the scattering of old scars. He scrubbed at his skin as if he could erase the memory of Hayes’ smirk, the proprietary glance he’d given you. He leaned his forehead against the cool tiles, letting the steam envelop him.
By the time he emerged, dressed in soft sweatpants and a worn t-shirt, the apartment smelled of garlic, ginger, and soy. You were in the kitchen, moving with a softness that was the direct opposite of your strict precision in the field. Your hair was damp, curling at the ends, and you wore one of his old sweaters that swallowed your frame.
“Stir fry okay?” you asked without turning, sensing his presence.
“Perfect,” he said, his voice rougher than he intended. You glanced over your shoulder, a soft smile on your lips.
“Long shower.” You commented, not pushing for anything, just an observation.
“I needed it.” He had moved closer, placing a kiss on your cheek.
Dinner was had in comfortable silence while the tv played a nature documentary. Moving to the couch once you cleaned together.
You sat on the chaise, Leon settled behind you, his legs bracketing your body. You leaned back into him with a sigh, your head coming to rest on his shoulder. His arms came around you naturally, one hand splayed over your stomach, the other coming up to idly stroke your damp hair.
This was the peace he fought and killed for.
The documentary droned on. An older lion, challenged by a younger, stronger male from a rival pride. The narration felt targeted. The older male, though experienced, may no longer have the sheer physical power to defend his territory…
“Does it ever bother you?” The question was out before he could stop it.
You tilted your head back to look up at him, your brow furrowed. “Does what bother me?”
He hesitated, the words sticking in his throat. He gestured vaguely, his hand leaving your hair to indicate the space around you, then coming to rest on his own thigh. “This. Me. The… gap.” You shifted, turning within the circle of his arms so you were half-facing him, your expression now one of confusion.
“What are you talking about?” You questioned it, but he couldn’t meet your eyes, he just looked at the television.
“The age difference. I don’t have that… easy energy anymore.” He looked down at you, his blue eyes stark with a vulnerability he showed to no one else. “You cook for me. You fall asleep on me. You drag me into dances when I’d rather just stand and watch and I love it. I love all of it. But it’s your youth you’re spending on me. What happens when the newness of it wears off? When my quiet feels like silence? When my scars feel less like history and more like… baggage?”
Your expression had softened from confusion into something unbearably tender. You brought a hand up, your fingers tracing the line of his stubbled jaw. “Leon…” you whispered yet he pressed on.
“One day, you might want someone who can give you a life that isn’t measured in mission cycles and security clearances.” He captured your hand, holding it against his cheek, turning his face into your palm. “The thought of you losing that feeling for me… of you looking at me one day and just seeing an old agent… it terrifies me more than anything else ever could.”
You looked at him for a long moment, your eyes searching his, seeing the raw truth of his fear. Then you moved. You pushed yourself up, kneeling before him, your hands coming to cup his face, forcing him to hold your gaze.
“Listen to me,” you said, your voice firm yet soft. “The moment I stop feeling the way I do the moment my heart doesn’t skip when I see you, the moment I don’t crave the weight of your arms, orI don’t look at your scars and feel proud of the man who made it through… that’s the moment I take my last breath because loving you is the one thing I know I’ll never let go of.”
A soft breath escaped him. He didn’t speak; his words were inadequate for what he felt. Instead, he moved forward, capturing your mouth with his in a kiss that was nothing short of electric.
It wasn’t gentle. It was all the words he couldn’t say poured into the meeting of lips and tongue. You met him with equal fervor, your fingers tangling in his hair, pulling him closer as if you could fuse your bodies together.
He broke the kiss only to whisper your name against your lips. Then his mouth was everywhere–on your jaw, down the column of your throat, nipping at the sensitive spot where your neck met your shoulder. He pulled the oversized sweater over your head. His hand came to palm at your breast, his thumb circling your nipple until it pebbled into a hard point. A sharp gasp escaped you when he pinched, and the sound went straight to his cock, which was already straining painfully against his sweatpants.
“Leon!” you breathed, arching into his touch.
In one fluid motion, he stood, pulling you up with him. He didn’t carry you to the bedroom; the distance was too great. He needed you now. He laid you back onto the chaise, your legs hanging off the end.
He yanked your panties off with urgency, and worshiped every inch he uncovered. He knelt down between your legs, kissing your stomach, then over your hips, and your thighs. His stubble lightly scratched along your skin.
When his mouth finally found your core, you cried his name out softly. He didn’t tease. His tongue worked with a hungry, single-minded intensity, circling your clit before dipping lower. He savoured the taste as if it were the antidote to every poison he’d ever ingested.
His hands held your thighs apart, his grip firm and unyielding. You tried to buck against the overwhelming sensation, but his hold was immovable. He pinned you to the couch, forcing you to feel every devastatingly perfect movement. He established a brutal, perfect rhythm. Long, languid strokes of his tongue from your entrance to your clit, gathering your wetness, then plunging back inside, fucking you with his mouth. You could hear the wet sounds filling the room, your own cries were layered over the top–whimpers, soft sobs, and repetitions of his name.
“Please…” you managed to gasp, though you didn’t know what you were begging for. He answered by shifting his focus, zeroing in on your clit. His tongue became a rapid, fluttering point of fire, circling and flicking so fast it was almost a blur of sensation. You moaned, your hands flying to his hair, not to push him away, but to pull him closer, grinding yourself against his face in a frantic search for release.
His hair was soft between your fingers, a stark contrast to the harsh, demanding pleasure he was wringing from your body. Just as you felt the first sign of an orgasm gathering deep in your belly, he stopped. You let out a soft cry. Your hips jerked up uselessly against the empty air.
He lifted his head, breathing heavily, his lips swollen and wet. He didn’t say a word. He simply watched the desperate frustration on your face, the slight tremor through your body.
Then, he lowered his mouth again, but not to where you needed. He pressed hot, open-mouthed kisses along your inner thigh, his teeth nipping at the skin. He then traced the spot with his tongue, a soothing counterpoint to the sting. He moved to the other thigh, repeating the process, his hands still vise-like on your legs, keeping you achingly open.
“Look at me.” he commanded. You forced your eyes open, not realizing you’d closed them. Looking down the length of your body, to where he knelt between your thighs. The sight was erotic–his broad shoulders, the focus on his face, his mouth hovering so close to where you ached for him. He held your gaze as he slowly extended his tongue and gave one long, slow, flat lick from your entrance all the way up to your throbbing clit. You whimpered, your hips lifting off the bed.
He dove back in with renewed fervor. This time, he introduced his fingers. You felt the blunt pressure of one, then two fingers at your entrance, testing, circling, before pushing deep inside you in one smooth stroke. He crooned his fingers, finding the spot that made you see stars. He worked them in and out, in a counter-rhythm to his tongue on your clit.
The dual assault was too much. It was everything. The coil of pleasure, so tightly wound before, now snapped with ease. You shattered around his fingers, rhythmically, and his mouth never left you, feeling every pulse and spasm. He worked you through it, his tongue gentling to soft, lapping strokes, his fingers slowing to a gentle pumping, drawing out the aftershocks until they were tiny, sensitive shivers.
When the last tremor subsided, he finally withdrew his fingers. He placed one last tender kiss on your oversensitive clit, making you flinch with a residual jolt of pleasure. Then he released your thighs, his fingers leaving faint, red imprints on your skin. He moved up your body slowly, kissing his way up your stomach, between your breasts, along your collarbone. He was heavy and warm as he settled over you, his arousal a hard pressure against your thigh.
His breath was hot and ragged against your lips.
“You are everything to me.” he whispered, the words gravelly and raw, as if it was dragged from a place deeper than his soul. He didn’t wait for a response. He kissed you again, a consuming kiss that let you taste yourself on his tongue.
Your hands came up, sliding under the soft cotton of his t-shirt, mapping the hard planes of his stomach, the ridges of old scars you knew by heart. You pushed the fabric upward, and he broke the kiss just long enough to yank it over his head and toss it aside.
Your fingers went to the waistband of his sweatpants, but he caught your wrists, pinning them gently but firmly above your head on the couch cushion. Holding your wrists with one strong hand, he used the other to push his sweatpants and boxer briefs down over his hips in one impatient shove. His cock sprang free, thick and flushed and beautifully hard, the tip already glistening. He kicked the clothing away, leaving him naked.
He released your wrists, but only to settle his weight more fully over you. He was so warm, so solid, so real. You wrapped your legs around his hips, your heels digging into the small of his back, pulling him closer until the hard length of him nudged against your entrance.
He slowly rocked his hips, dragging his cock through your slick folds, coating himself in your wetness. He buried his face in the crook of your neck, his breath hot against your skin as he whispered your name like a mantra.
“I need to see you.” he rasped, more to himself, lifting his head. He braced himself on his forearms, caging your face, his eyes locked on yours. “I need to watch you take me.”
You nodded, breathless, beyond words. You reached between your bodies, your hand wrapping around his length, guiding him to you. The broad head pressed against you, and you both let out a shuddering sigh. With agonizing slowness, he pushed forward.
He watched your face intently, every flicker of pleasure, every wince of overwhelming sensation. He sank deeper, inch by torturous inch, until he was fully sheathed, his hips flush against yours. For a long moment, he didn’t move. He just stayed there, You could feel the tremble in his muscles, to hold still.
“Leon…” you breathed, your voice trembling. You shifted your hips, a tiny, instinctive movement, and it broke his stillness. A low groan tore from his throat. He began to move.
His first thrust was a deep, deliberate roll of his hips, withdrawing almost completely before sinking back in with the same measured pace. It wasn't frantic, it was worship. Each stroke was long, deep, and achingly slow. He was making love to you with a focused, tender intensity that was somehow more overwhelming than any display of brute force.
“So perfect.” he whispered, his voice thick. “So tight for me. Taking me so deep.” He shifted his angle slightly, and on the next thrust, he hit a spot that made you cry out, your nails digging into his shoulders. A faint, satisfied smirk touched his lips. “There it is.”
He found that angle and held it, each slow, penetrating thrust now brushing directly over that sweet, sensitive spot deep inside you. Pleasure began to coil again, low and hot and insistent, but it was a different kind of build–deeper, slower, more consuming. It wasn’t a race to the peak; it was a deliberate climb up a mountain, and he was ensuring you felt every single second.
One of his hands slid down your body, his fingers finding the swollen nub of your clit. He didn’t rub frantically; he simply pressed the pad of his thumb against it, as he continued his deep, smooth thrusts. The dual stimulation was maddening in its perfection. Your moans became continuous, a soft, broken melody that filled the space between your ragged breaths.
“That’s it” he encouraged, his own breath coming in hot gusts against your cheek. “Let me hear you. Let me feel you cum around me.”
His pace began to increase. The slow, deep rolls became more urgent, the slide of his body in and out of yours creating a wet, rhythmic sound. The pressure of his thumb on your clit became a deliberate, circling motion, perfectly timed with his thrusts. Your legs tightened around him, pulling him deeper.
“I’m… Leon, I’m going to…” you choked out, the words fracturing into a gasp.
“Look at me.” he commanded again, his voice strained with the effort of holding back his own climax. “Come for me. Let me see it.”
You held his gaze as the wave broke. It crested not with a violent crash, but with a deep, rolling swell of pure pleasure. Your body clenched around him in powerful pulses, milking his length, drawing a ragged groan from his chest. Your vision whited out at the edges, but you kept your eyes open, locked on his, and you saw the exact moment your pleasure triggered his own.
His control shattered. With a final, deep thrust that buried him as far as he could possibly go, he threw his head back, a raw, guttural groan tearing from his throat. His nose scrunching softly, as he gritted his teeth. You felt the hot rush of his release deep inside you, each jet synchronized with the contractions still rippling through your own body.
Slowly, the tremors subsided. His weight settled upon you, a warm, comforting heaviness. He was still inside you, as his breathing gradually slowed from ragged gasps to deep, even draws. He turned his head, his lips finding your shoulder, placing a soft, lingering kiss there.
For a long time, neither of you moved. The only sounds were the whisper of the television and the syncopated rhythm of your hearts slowing together. The couch was nothing but a mess of discarded clothes and tangled limbs, but at that moment, it felt like the most sacred of places.
Slowly, he lifted himself carefully off you, the loss of his warmth and weight made you shiver. But he didn’t go far. He gathered you into his arms, shifting both of you so you were lying side-by-side on the couch, your back curled against his chest, his arms wrapped securely around you. He pulled the soft throw blanket from the back of the couch and draped it over both of you.
He nuzzled into your hair, his lips brushing your ear. “I love you.” he whispered, the words simple, final, and carrying the weight of the entire universe.
You covered his hands with yours, lacing your fingers together over your stomach.
“You’re thinking again.” you murmured, not even opening your eyes. A soft huff of breath left him, almost a laugh.
“That obvious?”
“Always.” There was no bite to your reply. Just familiarity. You shifted slightly, pressing back into him more fully, your head tilting just enough to brush your lips against his jaw. “I’m here.” you added quietly, making his hold on you tighten, just for a second.
“I know,” he said, though it came out rougher than he intended. But you felt the truth in it. He did know. He just… needed to keep knowing. You turned in his arms until you were facing him properly. Your hand came up, resting over his heart which was still beating a little too fast.
“You don’t have to compete with anyone,” you said softly, your eyes searching his. “Not him. Not anyone. There’s no comparison to make.” His gaze flickered, like the instinct to argue was there, but he didn’t even open his mouth. “I’ve seen what’s out there, Leon.” you continued, your voice gentle but unwavering. “I chose you anyway. Not because you’re safe, or easy, or convenient…” Your fingers curled slightly against his chest. “But because you’re you.”
You saw that it meant something to him in the way his expression shifted, the tension in his shoulders easing just a fraction.
“You’re the one I come home to, or…with.” you added, quieter now. “The one I think about when things get bad. The one I want beside me when things are good.” A small, almost shy smile touched your lips. “You’re it for me.” And for a moment, he just looked at you.
Like he was trying to memorize every word, every expression, every piece of you that was offering him something he still didn’t fully believe he deserved. Then his hand came up, covering yours where it rested over his heart, pressing it more firmly there.
“Yeah?” he asked, softer now.
“Yeah.” You didn’t hesitate. He leaned forward, pressing a slow kiss to your lips. When he pulled back, his forehead rested against yours, his breath warm against your skin. He stayed close, eyes still half shut like he didn’t quite want to come back from the moment. His thumb brushed over your knuckles, slowly, as something in him finally settled.
It's a little short because I'm a responsible girl studying for her finals (playing games all day)
summary: Leon left on his last mission and you waited patiently home, until you got a call from Grace, saying that he's badly injured and you should visit the hospital as soon as you can.
warnings: injury (no shit), swearing, hospital, I don't really know how any meds or coma works, near-death situations, a bit of fluff and even more angst, but I tried my best to keep it funny
It was supposed to be his last day.
But not like this. He was supposed to come home to you, healthy and steady on his feet. You two were supposed to go on his hard earned vacation, somewhere quiet where you could both rest, finally together after so many days of waiting.
Instead, you got a call. It was late at night, around 2AM when an unknown number called you. Normally you wouldn't pick up, but you were half-asleep and totally out of it, not to mention that your intuition spiked your worry immediately.
You heard a woman's voice on the other line, shaky and tired, unknown. At first you thought this could be a mistake, until she asked if you were Leon's wife. You were already terrified when she told you not to panic, but when she asked you to drive to the hospital as soon as you could, you were devastated.
You didn't even think before getting up and rushing to the car.
A major head injury. She told you how it happened, but you were too shaken up to understand any of it. From what you caught, he got shot, but somehow the bullet missed enough for him to be only unconscious. The woman introduced herself as Grace, told you that she worked with him and explained to you everything that happened, in detail.
You didn't know what to think. You spent hours sitting by his hospital bed, even though the nurses tried to drag you out of there multiple times. You tried to collect your thoughts, understand the situation, but you just couldn't get it. He got himself into a reckless situation as always, and now you were also finding out about an infection he never cared to mention to you? Was that what he planned all along, to just disappear on this mission and never come back? Now that you were thinking about it, there was something about the way he said goodbye to you on the way out.
Thankfully, the doctors managed to save him. He had to be kept under strong medication and observation, but he'd survive. They warned you he could be a little... out of it. Memory loss, disorientation, dizziness, that sort of thing. You just didn't know it would be this bad.
The beeping sound in the room was steady as you sat on a nearby chair, trying your best to read a book. You had to busy yourself with something, though nothing seemed to work on your nerves at the moment. You were still trying your best to understand, but a part of you was scared that the doctors only said he was alright to spare you the pain. It's been only four days, but you were starting to think he might not wake up at all. People here laid unconscious for months, and you couldn't imagine waiting so long in uncrrtaitny. You believed in him, though. He was strong, he would make it.
As you flipped the page, you heard a small shift. You didn't pay attention to it, your eyes flickering to the curtains that were moving from the soft wind. It was probably just that. The room would be awfully pretty right now if it wasn't for all that machinery keeping him intact. The morning light gave it a soft, pretty glow. You didn't want to look at it, though. The mere thought made you nauseous.
"Grace...?" You heard a quiet, raspy voice, which made you almost drop your book. Your head snapped up to see him stirring under the covers, one eye shut tight while the other tried to open up, closing immediately at the sunlight.
You rushed to his side, hands shaky as you moved the curtains, closing them up halfway. You could see he was struggling to open his eyes, probably completely blinded after being out for so long. You sat down on the edge of the bed, arms quickly shooting out to keep him laying there.
"No, not Grace. Grace is safe at home." You shook your head with a small chuckle. "Don't sit up, you shouldn't be moving too much..." You said as quietly as you could, even though you wanted to scream in happiness right now. There was your husband; looking tired as hell and definitely a little drowsy, but also definitely alive.
"Then..." He started, frowning as he opened one eye again, as if testing if the light would sting him once again. Then he blinked once, twice, before opening them up fully. "What happened? Where am I?"
"The hospital." You answered, ignoring the sting in your chest as you said it out loud. "You had an accident... do you remember anything?"
You wanted to explain everything to him. You wanted to tell him everything you knew, wanted to tell him how much you missed him and how happy you are to see him functioning again... even if not fully. Unfortunately, the doctors warned you that he shouldn't remember everything at once. He should take his time and remember bit by bit, especially since the mention of Zeno or getting shot might bring back bad memories and send him into a panic mode... which could only make the injury worse.
"An accident..." He repeated, brows furrowing again as he took a look around the room, taking everything in. The machinery, the medication, the whiteness of the walls that bore into his eyes and made him want to puke his guts out. "So I'm... not dead."
"No, you're not. Thank God." You said, reaching out to move his hair out of his face.
He looked at you again, first at your hand, then your face. He had a confused look in his eyes, but nothing could've prepared you for his next words.
"So, you're not an angel." He stated blankly, drowning deeper. "Who are you, then? A nurse?"
The question caught you off guard.
He couldn't seriously forget about you, could he?
"Leon..." You started, not sure what to say. This was... well, a lot to take in. You'd have to tell him he was married, which would probably confuse him and lead to many more questions. Much more information that you weren't supposed to give, not until there was a doctor around to check up on him.
"Seriously, who are you? How do you know my name?" He said, bringing a hand to the back of his head, touching the patched up area. You quickly swatted it away, making him frown. God, he was like a child... "I think I would remember a pretty thing like you. You look familiar, though, so I'm guessing not a nurse."
The room fell quiet, and he got visibly more confused when he got no answer.
"What?" He asked, raising an eyebrow.
"I'm... gonna go call the doctor. Stay still, okay? Don't try to get up." You settled for a pat on a shoulder, not wanting to startle him with a kiss or anything of the sort. It would be better if he remembered on his own.
"Hey, no. Where do you think you're going?" He called out as you got up, trying to reach for you, but his hand dropped to his side quickly, feeling a sharp sting. "What the fuck is this thing?" He frowned at something attached to his forearm, letting out a scowl as he laid his head back against the pillow.
You were already out the door. He couldn't tell what the hell was going on, but he didn't like it. Was this some kind of Umbrella facility? Did they keep him here by force? You didn't look like one of them, though. You looked like you were genuinely happy and excited to see him wake up. He just couldn't place why. Even thinking too much hurt right now, and he gave up on trying to figure it out. Maybe a coworker, or a friend... either way, you were someone close.
After a few minutes you entered the room again with a doctor and two nurses. They immediately rushed to his side, one checking the vitals monitors while the other took off and refilled the drip. He watched everything with a frown, listening in to the quiet conversation of you and the doctor, signing some papers. Shouldn't he be doing that himself?
"Please sign here, Mrs. Kennedy." The doctor spoke, handing you the papers. You picked up the files and pen with shaky hands, scribbling something down.
Mrs. Kennedy.
That would explain everything. The way you rushed to his side so quickly when he spoke up, the way you looked at him, the way you brushed his hair like you were aching to touch his face.
He was annoyed. He had those memories right in front of him, felt like he was about to remember, but he couldn't. He tried everything, focusing on the day he proposed, maybe the wedding later... but nothing seemed to work.
"You're my wife." He spoke out loud, hoping that would help at least a bit. He remembered only little pieces, not moments in general. He did remember the warmth of your arms after a long day, the coziness of eating warm meals together, the feeling of deep conversations on the couch late at night... but why couldn't he remember you? "Fucking hell, that's my wife?"
His words made your eyes widen and the paperwork was already long forgotten. The monitors started beeping a little faster, and you flashed a panicked look at the doctor. Was that too much for him? Would he strain himself? You didn't want to hurt him further, you didn't want to overwhelm him with unnecessary explanations and only confuse him further...
But when you saw the doctor nod and say something about leaving the two of you alone, you immediately rushed to his side. The nurses left a few seconds later, having checked everything when you were signing the papers.
"Do you remember?" You asked shortly, reaching out to slip your hand in his.
"Not really," He started, and you had to do your best to hide the disappointment. "I... remember what everyday life feels with you. But I don't know who you are."
The silence between you felt heavy. You brushed your thumb over his hand, trying to comfort him, to coax something out of his little damaged brain, but even now, in the quiet of the room, he didn't seem to recall anything.
"I'm an idiot." He finally broke the silence, laying his head back down on the pillow with a groan. "Forgot my own wife. Husband of the year. Were those papers you were signing needed for divorce?"
"Don't even say that." You swatted his shoulder and he let out a raspy laugh, staring at you deeply, like he was trying to read something out of your face. Like maybe this would make him remember. "You're not an idiot, and definitely not a bad husband. You're just overloaded with medication, but it'll pass."
You said that like you were trying to reassure both of you, not only him.
And maybe you were.
"So... how long have we been married?" He asked, forming random questions in his head that might work somehow. Maybe it was like a puzzle? Maybe he'd have to bring the pieces together somehow?
"Three years."
"Three years?" He said, looking genuinely surprised. "Three years with an angel like you and I forgot? Jesus..."
"Guess I'm not worth remembering." You said with a roll of your eyes, but you had a petty smile on your face. Of course you were aware that he loved you, he cared for you, and it was only the medication. You were sure if you'd ask about anything about his work, his colleagues, the police academy... he wouldn't even know the answer either.
"Don't say that. I have eyes, and I can see that you're worth remembering, sweetheart." The nickname made your heart melt. "Hm. 8th of May, 2021. What's that date?"
He could see your eyes lighting up a little at the question.
"We got engaged that day." You answered, subconsciously giving his hand a little squeeze, as if motivating him to go further, even though the worry was still there.
He reached up and rubbed his temple, closing his eyes with a small grunt. "Engaged." He repeated after you, giving you a small nod.
Silence, again. You decided to give him time. He looked like his mind was working full force, a small grunt or groan here and there as he sat there, unmoving. Normally it would be almost funny, like sometimes when he walked into the room and forgot what he came there for. But now, seeing him struggle like this...
"Y/N." He suddenly practically yelled as he opened up his eyes and looked at you, now his hand squeezing yours. "Your name, it's Y/N. Right? I got right?"
You tried your best to tame your own reaction, even though he could already see you tensing up at the name. "Um, no." You said with an exaggerated frown. "Who's Y/N?"
"Don't bullshit me. I don't have anyone on the side, if that's what you're implying." He spoke snd you snorted, making him smile. "You think you're so funny, huh? Making fun of my suffering. I'll remember that, Y/N."
You couldn't wait anymore. You leaned in, pressing a small kiss to his forehead which he closed his eyes at. He hummed, looking lik he's been waiting for this for days. And maybe he was, considering he missed you as hell when he was on the mission.
"I'm remembering. Slowly." He said, nodding to himself as he opened his eyes and looked at you again. "Though, maybe I will ask for another kiss, just in case it will help me remember better?"
"Oh, really? You're learning by senses now?" You teased before leaning in, kissing him properly this time. When your lips met, it wasn't hungry or heated, it was longing. It was like a relief, after so many hours of sitting here by the hospital bed, praying that he'd wake up soon.
"Definitely helped." He smiled as you pulled away, wrapping an arm around your lower back. "Come here, lay down with me. And tell me everything. I'll remember. I promise."
Pairing: RE9!Leon Kennedy x fem!Reader
Summary: Every time Leon is around you, you get a notification on your smartwatch about your rapid heart rate. It got to the point where every time he's around you, he hears the same alert. Is that something he should be worried about?
Note: Ahhh, my first Resident Evil fanfic :') I've been dying to write for Resident Evil for a while, and now it's finally here! I typed out this fic while I was on NyQuil, so some parts might feel a bit wonky. I'm still pretty sick, but the only difference is that I'm not on NyQuil. I have so many ideas for upcoming Leon Kennedy fics, and I can't wait to get them all posted in the future. Anyway! I don't post anywhere else but on Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and on AO3 (Aaliah_exo).
Warning: Since this is my first time writing a fanfic for Resident Evil, the characters will be (slightly) out of character until I get used to writing for Resident Evil :')
Word Count: 7.5k
Leon has seen you around the DSO building a few times when he's not in the field. You're always at your computer, typing rapidly away before having to sprint from one place to another. Your nose is always glued to some kind of screen—whether it's your computer or tablet, you hardly look up from your work unless you have to. Leon knows who you are because you ran into him one time when you were a new hire.
God, you were a stuttering, flustered mess, apologizing and rambling about being in a rush to get to the other side of the building because someone's training you to configure, test, and install telecommunications systems for the division. Of course, Leon reassured you that you're all fine and don't have to apologize for running into him, despite it being an awkward way of meeting a coworker. After that, you quickly bow out of respect before proceeding with what you were doing earlier—run to where you're needed, leaving him standing in the middle of the hallway, watching your figure get smaller and smaller as the distance between you two grows.
Since the introduction, Leon has not seen you around much due to being an on-field agent and you working (and running around) as a telecommunications specialist. Funny how the awkward introduction would replay in his head from time to time, making him wonder if you're adjusting to your new job just fine since then.
While the introduction was endearing to Leon, it's one of your top five horrifyingly embarrassing moments that plays in your head at three in the morning when you're struggling to fall asleep. You, a newly hired telecommunications specialist for the DSO, ran right into Leon S. Kennedy, a DSO agent, a very elusive and highly respected person. It's almost rare to see him around the building because he's always deployed somewhere around the country (or a foreign country) for a mission.
Maybe it's a good thing you don't see Leon around the DSO building much, because you cannot bear seeing him after running into him. It wasn't a cutesy bump where you two can laugh it off and form a work friendship over. No! You were sprinting to where you're needed and then BOOM! You ran right into an incredibly solid figure that sent you stumbling back and landing on your ass in a full office, papers flying everywhere, and your head spinning.
You remember how hot your face felt when you came to your senses. A tall figure towering over you, gazing down at you with those crystal blue eyes—eyes filled with amusement and curiosity. A flurry of apologies tumbling out of your mouth as you scramble to collect the scattered papers around you. While you were busy making yourself a bigger fool, this hulking DSO agent knelt beside you and helped gather the papers with you.
"I'm so sorry, Mr. Kennedy! I was in a rush, and I wasn't watching where I was going and—"
Leon cuts you off. "It's alright. You don't need to apologize."
You looked up from the stacks of paper in your hands, making eye contact with the DSO agent. He had a small smile on his face. God, his smile was so soft. You continued staring at Leon, blindly reaching around you for the papers. That very moment is when you felt your heart do this weird flip before beating rapidly. Your smartwatch buzzed, pulling you out of your trance.
"WARNING: HIGH HEART RATE. Your heart rate increased above 120 BPM while you—"
You quickly swiped the notification away before continuing where you left off: apologizing to Leon for running (more like slamming) into him. Leon handed you the papers you dropped. You thanked him before bowing to him, only to abruptly stop and do a double-take, smacking your forehead. Why did you bow to him?
"I should go now." You sighed in defeat, turning around and running off with your tail tucked between your legs.
After the accidental interaction, you try your best to avoid Leon. As if that would be hard, since the man is barely in the building unless he returns from his mission. But when he is on site, you're at your computer doing your work, so engrossed in your task to realize he's in the same building.
Oftentimes, you see Leon with Sherry Birkin, one of your close friends at work. And when you do spot the two together around the DSO building or in the break room, chatting and having lunch together, you make sure to turn around and go to another break room.
How can you face thee Leon S. Kennedy after that day? It's humiliating, and you can't look or think of Leon without becoming an absolute mess. Plus, Leon is incredibly attractive, and running into someone as handsome as Leon might as well send you to an early grave.
"Hey! I saw you walk to the break room, but immediately turned around and left. Are you alright?" Sherry asks, approaching your desk with a cup of water in her hand.
Fuck.
You nod, smiling at Sherry. "Of course I'm fine, Sherry! I completely forgot that I left my lunch bag in the other break room until I arrived at the one where you were."
That's a lie. Sometimes you do bring in a lunch bag with you to work, but most of the time, you go somewhere nearby for lunch. But today is the day you brought in a lunch bag and stored it in the break room where Leon and Sherry were. Needless to say, you had to order something to eat because you didn't have the guts to return to get your home-cooked lunch. Well, at least you know what you'll be having for dinner tonight when you get home from work.
"Well, I hope you can join Leon and me during our break next time! If you want to, of course."
You nod, pressing your lips into a thin line. You don't know how to respond to her offer. You can't reject her invitation! It would be rude, and Sherry might suspect that you're avoiding any interaction with both her and Leon (it's half true). You choose not to accept or reject Sherry's invitation, leaving the offer open.
After that interaction, the day goes smoothly, and you're able to collect communication data from the electronic surveillance monitoring equipment and download it onto various computer systems for analysis. That was on the floor above you, so you had to go back and forth frequently. Which means, you sometimes see Leon when you're going from floor to floor.
"They're really having you run around this building, huh?" Leon murmurs, crossing his arms over his chest as he leans against the wall in the elevator.
Yep. You are in the elevator with Leon, and no one else is in the elevator but you two. You're going one floor above, it's not like you'll be stuck in the elevator with him, right?
You nod. "It's part of the job. But I can't complain, this counts as my exercise for the day because I'm always sitting at my desk."
What kind of response is that? You kick yourself mentally. You hear a soft chuckle coming from Leon, making you look at him from the corner of your eyes. The way the crow's feet become prominent whenever he smiles causes something to stir within you.
You can't help but stare at him while he's looking straight at the elevator door. Usually, whenever you see Leon around the DSO building (while trying not to be seen by him), he would wear a leather jacket that has a shearling collar, but today is different. Today, he's wearing a very fitted top, sleeves rolled up to his elbows, and the zipper of his shirt is unzipped halfway.
Those arms of his. God, those arms of his make you feel some type of way. You subconsciously bite the bottom of your lip before looking at the ground. Your heart does the weird thing again. It flutters, making your breath get caught in your throat before letting out a shaky sigh.
Leon takes his eyes off the elevator door, now looking at you. "Are you alright?"
You nod, not looking at Leon. "Yes, I'm fine, Mr. Kennedy." Your response comes out weak, almost too quiet to hear if the elevator music was any louder (it's not, it's actually pretty quiet that you can hear your heart pounding in your ears).
You take a peek at Leon, only to lock eyes with him. You quickly look away, brushing away an invisible hair from your face while trying to act like you weren't looking at him. Why is the elevator so slow? Just as you're about to pull the classic move of checking your watch to see what time it is, your smartwatch buzzes before loudly announcing:
"WARNING: HIGH HEART RATE. Your heart rate increased above 120 BPM while—"
You quickly swipe the notification away, heat rushing to your cheeks while your heart is drumming against your chest. Oh, god, this is so embarrassing. Why did it announce to the world to hear it!?
Before you can die from embarrassment, the elevator chimes, signaling for you that you've arrived on the floor where you're needed. You nearly cry in relief, quickly bidding Leon goodbye before scrambling out of the elevator without giving him the chance to respond.
You're adding that moment to another embarrassing moment that will forever replay in your head before you fall asleep. It's inevitable. At this point, maybe it's best for you to just work for another government agency to escape these embarrassing moments that keep happening to you for some reason.
A few days go by, and you finally have the courage to confide in your friend about your smartwatch embarrassing you whenever Leon's around. You're sitting on the couch, hugging your knees to your chest while you stab your ice cream tub with the metal spoon.
Laila chuckles, shaking her head. "That's what you're embarrassed about? Your smartwatch telling you that your heart beats fast whenever a fine ass man is near you?"
"You think it's funny because you're not the one in my situation." You grumble, glaring at Laila while still jabbing your ice cream. "How can I not be embarrassed? Imagine your smartwatch outing you for feeling nervous around someone like thee Leon S. Kennedy. My coworker!"
Laila makes a face after hearing that. Can you blame her? It's one thing to have a crush on someone, but a coworker? A workplace relationship isn't going to end well, and you're certain that—with your luck—it's not going to work out for you. Nothing ever does!
Laila leans over and flicks your forehead, making you wince and grumble while rubbing the stinging spot. "It's all in your head, [Y/N]. Just because you think about these embarrassing moments doesn't mean that Leon is going to do the same. Besides, do you remember other people's humiliating moments?"
You shake your head.
"Exactly! So, you have nothing to worry about, really. It may be another memory that haunts you in the middle of the night, but I'm sure Leon forgot that ever happened as his day goes by."
A few weeks have gone by, and you find yourself typing away at your computer, trying to complete as many assignments as you can before having to go to the upper floor. You've been so occupied with the tasks that you fail to notice a certain DSO agent walking towards your cubicle, eyeing the little decoration around your cubicle that's obscured by the mountain of files on your desk.
Leon clears his throat, trying to get your attention. But you don't look away from your computer, still typing away on one screen before turning to the second monitor, muttering something under your breath.
"What am I looking at?" You grumble, squinting and leaning towards the monitor.
"Being that close to the monitor isn't good for your eyes, you know." Leon comments, crossing his arms over his chest.
You jerk in your seat, head snapping towards his direction before looking at him like a deer caught in headlights. Your reaction brought a smile to his face. You clear your throat, quickly fixing your composure before smiling at him awkwardly.
"Mr. Kennedy! Is there something I can help you with?" You ask, adjusting the sleeves of your blazer.
"The head of the department is requesting your presence and assistance on the upper floor. Something about electronic surveillance not working the way it should be."
You pinch the bridge of your nose, sighing. How many times has this happened within a week? It's not like you can complain, unfortunately. It's what you're trained to do, and what you applied for.
You clear your throat, getting up from your seat after locking your computer. "Are you leading the way, or are you here to fetch me before going elsewhere?"
"I will be leading the way and watching the professional in action."
You can't tell if he's being serious or mocking you, but either way, the thought of someone like Leon watching you do your task makes your heart skip a beat. You better not fuck up anything while he's in the same room. You can't have another embarrassing moment added to the growing list.
With that, you gesture for Leon to lead the way. As you're walking to the elevator—the same elevator where your smartwatch decides to announce to the entire world that your heart rate has increased—you can't help but ponder whether Leon knows your name, or if he refers to you by your job title.
You nearly cry in relief when you realize that both you and Leon aren't the only ones in the elevator this time. Maybe this will ease your mind a bit. It's not like you don't want to be alone with Leon; it's the fact that you don't want the same incident repeated. You and Leon step into the elevator, greeting other people in the elevator.
You pull up your tablet, switching from lists of progress requests to detailed records of existing configurations of data circuits. You're reading everything on the screen, but at the same time, you're not processing a single thing. You poke the inside of your cheek with your tongue before tucking the tablet under your arm.
The elevator chimes, alerting you and everyone else that you have arrived on the floor you're needed in. You and Leon exit the elevator and walk to the office that's two doors down on the right. For a medium-sized office, it's rather quiet compared to where you're stationed.
You briefly greet the head of the department before starting your task of fixing the issues. There's literally no time to lose, or else that means way more paperwork and workload for you to deal with. About five minutes into searching for the problem, you're able to find it and gradually fix the errors.
"Are the senior technicians not here today? This feels a bit out of the ordinary, at least for someone still new to the agency. I'm usually working under the guidance of the senior techs." You mutter, eyes darting from one screen to another while your fingers are rapidly typing away.
"Zhao is currently needed in another department. You can view this as a test to see how you perform without the guidance of a technician. Zhao said he's confident that you can do the task without needing his guidance." Mrs. Lee replies, watching you like a hawk.
You nod, muttering to yourself while checking to see if there are any security issues while the systems are down. Thankfully, there's none that you know of. After what felt like an eternity, you manage to fix the issue before turning to where your attention is needed.
"Systems are back up and running. You shouldn't have any issues after that. If you do end up running into any issues, please find me immediately, and I'll get it back up and running and double-check the security measures to make sure there aren't any security breaches." You get up from the chair and rub the back of your neck.
"And they don't have you working in strict environments with those skills of yours? If I remember correctly—I could be wrong—working in resource-limited locations is one of the major duties for a telecommunications specialist, is it not?" Leon comments, his eyebrows furrowing.
You shrug. "I believe they're going to start having me do that soon. I don't know when, but it's all up to Zhao. For now, I'm on site at the DSO building performing my tasks and being trained on many other things."
Leon nods, the creases between his eyebrows gradually smoothing over. "That's impressive. You're doing well, and I'm impressed by the skills you have shown us today, and your ability to quickly pinpoint and fix the issues without the guidance of a senior technician."
Hearing and getting a compliment from Leon makes you feel some type of way. It's like a mix of pride and shyness. Pride because someone with years of experience under his belt is complimenting you, someone with less than a year of experience. Shyness because, well, it's Leon. The small smile of his, the crow's feet in the outer corner of his eyes, became visible when he smiles.
Would it be weird to call a grown-ass man, who's almost twice your age, cute? Apparently, it's weird to consider one cute. It's not like anyone else is going to know that you find the DSO agent cute, nor will they know about your little crush on him. Right? God, you're so fucked.
"Thank you, Mr. Kennedy, it means a lot coming from you," You reply. You can feel heat creeping up your cheeks the longer you and Leon look at each other, not saying anything after. "I believe my job here is done. I will return to my desk now."
You bid Mrs. Lee and Leon farewell before making your way towards the door. Just when you thought you were safe from humiliation, the minute you pass Leon, is when your smartwatch decides it's the perfect time to announce to everyone in the room about your heart rate.
"WARNING: HIGH HEART RATE. Your heart rate increased above 120 BPM—"
Of course, you immediately swipe the notification away frantically. You unsuccessfully swipe the notification away and opt to silence your watch. You quickly look back and apologize for the disruption before closing the office door behind you. Great, first it's Leon, and now it's your other coworkers who will remember this embarrassing moment for who knows how long. Does the DSO have a gadget that wipes memories by chance?
You collapse on your office chair, grumbling about what happened prior. After you typed in your password to unlock your computer, you realize something. You left your tablet on the desk in the office you just returned from. This happened all because you were too busy thinking about Leon and being shy after being complimented by him, and needing to return to your cubicle immediately after your smartwatch humiliated you (again) in front of Leon and your other coworkers.
Great! It's almost like every time something good (or something remotely positive) happens to you, your smartwatch needs to humble you in some kind of way. You bury your face in your hands, sighing. There's no way you can go back and retrieve your tablet. But you need it for work! But what if Leon is still there, talking to Mrs. Lee, and they brought up the smartwatch notification? What if your other coworkers bring it up while you're trying to get your tablet?
Your mind is a war zone, and you're just standing there, dissociating while chaos runs rampant. There's probably a grenade being launched at you right now, but you're too busy in that head of yours.
"Hey, you!" Sherry pops in front of your desk, successfully pulling you out of your inner turmoil. "Heard great things about you from Leon and Mrs. Lee."
Your heart skips a beat when Leon is mentioned. "Like what?" You try your best to act nonchalant, but you're not nonchalant; you could never be nonchalant.
"That you're cool when you're focusing on fixing the issues, you type incredibly fast. Not a single mistake, and you got the systems back up and running without the presence or guidance of the senior technician, according to Leon!" Sherry grins. "Oh! And in case I forget, here is your tablet."
You sigh in relief, leaning over to grab your tablet from Sherry's hand over your cubicle. Thanks to Sherry, you won't have to humiliate yourself for the second time today! "Oh, my god, thank you so much, Sherry! I didn't even realize I forgot the most important thing until I made it back to my cubicle. I'm forever in your debt."
Sherry smiles coyly, "Actually," Sherry starts, quickly peeking over her shoulder before turning to you, "the person who wanted to return your tablet to you was Leon. But he couldn't do that because he had a meeting to go to and handed the tablet to me to return to the owner."
"Oh!" Is the only response you can give to Sherry.
Sherry continues to give you that look, but you can't describe it. It's the kind of look that your friend gives you when your crush is in the same room as the two of you. Almost teasing, if that makes sense. Wait, Sherry doesn't know about your little crush on Leon, does she?
You smile awkwardly at Sherry. "Why are you giving me that look?"
She shakes her head, the smile on her face growing wider. At this point, you're convinced that Sherry can read your mind or see through you despite being work friends. "You know, Leon isn't as intimidating as you think." She starts.
"Where are you going with this, Sherry?" You bury your face in your hands.
"Nothing! All I'm saying is that Leon is a good guy and the only thing that are intimidated by Leon are the zombies he buries his hatchet in!" Sherry giggles.
"Shit, he can bury his hatchet in me, too, like damn," is what you wanted to say, but you bite your tongue and continue to let Sherry ramble on about Leon. What is wrong with you? How does a man have this much effect on you? Where is the professionalism, and what happened to the "no falling in love with a coworker" rule you set for yourself?
"Anyway! What I'm trying to say is that you have nothing to worry about when it comes to Leon, alright? You two should get some lunch together someday!" Sherry suggests, crossing her arms over her chest.
Your eyebrows furrow. "How am I going to do that when we barely talk to each other?"
Sherry giggles, fiddling with her hands while rocking back and forth.
"Sherry, what did you do?" You whisper, fearing for the worst.
"Nothing bad!" Sherry reassures you. She leans over your cubicle, hands cupping around her lips. "I may or may not have given Leon your phone number."
Suddenly, the tapping of keyboards, mild chattering in the office among coworkers, and office printers going off go silent. Did you hear Sherry correctly? Sherry Birkin, your work friend, gave Leon S. Kennedy your phone number?
"You what?"
"I hope you don't mind! I think you'll get along with Leon incredibly well, and I can sort of see you sometimes yearn to talk to Leon, but you're just shy…" She trails off after seeing the expression on your face.
You look at your monitor, moving your mouse so your monitor won't fall asleep. You gulp and turn to Sherry. "Did Leon ask for my number, or did you randomly give it to him? Also, what do you mean by you can sort of see me yearn to talk to Leon?"
Do you yearn to talk to Leon? Sort of, but you've humiliated yourself so many times in front of Leon that you question if it's even a good idea to talk to him. You may want to talk to him, but does he want to talk to you? That is the question. What's there to talk about when there are gaps in resumes, job and life experiences, and age?
"Well, not really, but—uh, are you alright?" Sherry asks, waving her hand in front of your face.
You nod. "Yeah, I'm fine! Don't worry about me, Sherry."
After a few exchanges, Sherry leaves your cubicle to return to her desk, leaving you alone with your thoughts. Your watch buzzes. You check your watch to see multiple notifications from the heart rate app, notifying you about the same thing. It's a good thing you put your smartwatch on silent. Maybe you should keep it that way from now on.
"Why didn't I think about that earlier?" You smack your forehead before continuing on your work.
By the time it's time for you to clock out of work, you have completed most of your work that needs to be done by the end of the day. You yawn for the umpteenth time today, trying to shake off sleep that's creeping up on you. You make sure to save your progress and document what you need to get done when you return to your desk tomorrow morning.
You make a small checklist on your tablet, log off your computer, and turn it off. You grab your belongings and make way towards the elevator after bidding Sherry farewell. She's talking to Leon and Jake Muller—her boyfriend, you assume— so you bid the two goodbye, too tired to even realize what you did. You're so excited to finally go home and get some sleep.
By the time the elevator arrived, and it's your turn to get on, the hallway is nearly empty. You hop on the elevator, press the main floor button before turning to your tablet. God, you're so tired that you're not processing the words on your screen. The words are blurring into each other, making it incoherent.
You eventually give up and turn your tablet off, putting it in your tote bag. The elevator chimes, and you find yourself in the parking lot of the DSO building. As you're searching for your car keys, you hear someone calling for you from a distance. You look to see Leon jogging towards you.
"Mr. Kennedy, do you need something?" You ask.
Leon holds up a familiar keychain. "You left your car keys at your desk."
You stare at Leon, your mouth agape. You're a mess today, aren't you? "Thank you, Mr. Kennedy. Strange how I didn't even realize it, even with a lot of keychains attached to it."
Leon hands you your car keys before offering to help you take your things to your car. Obviously, you accepted his offer because you didn't want to be rude to reject his offer, and because your shoulders were starting to become sore because of how bulky your tote bag is.
At first, the walk to your car was silent, but Leon broke the silence by complimenting you on your problem-solving skills and your ability to get the servers up and running in no time.
"Have you considered being a field agent?" Leon asks, watching you unlock your car.
You shake your head. "Not really. I don't think I'm suited to be a field agent because it's a little bit intimidating. I've seen and heard the things you do as a DSO agent, and before that, and it's something I don't see myself doing."
"Have you ever shot a gun before?" Leon asks, putting your things on the passenger seat of your car.
You press your lips into a thin line. "Not necessarily…"
He raises his eyebrows at you. "You hesitated."
"No, I didn't."
"You did." The corner of his lips curls up into a smirk.
God, he's even prettier when he smiles. You shake your head, trying not to smile as you open the door on the driver's side and start your engine. You can't have a crush on your coworker, someone who's a father figure to Sherry.
"Why not try it out? Give it a shot," Leon shrugs, now leaning against your car with his beefy arms crossed over his chest.
Goddamn, he's so muscular. Those biceps are huge—wait, was that a one-liner? You raise an eyebrow at Leon. "That was lame."
"What? No, it's not. I think it was brilliant."
"Of course you think it's brilliant. You're the one who came up with it."
The two of you have a good laugh before eventually having to part ways. You and Leon bid each other goodbye after you thanked him for giving you your car keys and helping you put your things in your car. From the comfort of your car, you watch Leon walk to his car, which happens to be parked a few spaces from where you parked your car.
"Of course, he drives a nice car. I shouldn't be surprised at all."
You watch his car come to life and pull out of the parking spot, then leave the lot of the DSO building. You reverse your car, pull out of your parking spot, and slowly pull out of the site after making sure there aren't any oncoming vehicles. Finally, you can go home and relax. Anything work-related can wait for you to clock in tomorrow.
-
On his way to the DSO building, the interaction he had with you in the parking lot plays in his head. Leon couldn't help but think back to the time when your smartwatch would notify you of your heart rate. At first, Leon thought it was funny, as in a funny coincidence, but then he noticed that it would happen often, especially whenever he was around.
Again, Leon assumed it was a coincidence that it happened at least three times whenever he was around. But he brushed it off as you still being anxious about working for the DSO as a semi-new hire. What throws that assumption out of the window is your reaction to getting the notification. He can't help but feel concerned for you.
Does your heart rate do this regularly? Do you get notifications about your heart rate throughout the day? Are you an anxious person by nature? That can't be it, right? Whenever you're in your element at work, all of that anxiousness is gone, and you're focused on your work and get things done as soon as possible without rushing or caving in under the pressure.
A million questions pop up in Leon's head as he sets foot into the office, searching for someone who could have the answer to his burning questions. You. Unfortunately for Leon, he did not find you at your desk. Leon scans the room and sees Sherry typing away at her desk while conversing with the person sitting at another desk beside her.
Leon weaves through rows of cubicles to get to where Sherry's sitting, nodding and briefly greeting people who greet him as he passes by. As Leon gets closer to her desk, he calls out to Sherry. "Sherry, can I speak with you for a moment?"
Sherry looks up from her computer to see Leon nearing her desk, eyes still wandering around the area in search of something, or someone. She pushes herself away from the desk and stands, facing Leon, now that he's standing in front of her.
"Of course, Leon, what can I do for you?" Sherry leans against the desk, head tilting to the side.
Leon clears his throat, lowering his voice. "Do you know whether [Y/N] has a heart condition?" Leon continues to be on the lookout, earning an inquisitive look from the blonde woman.
Sherry's eyebrows furrow, slowly shaking her head in response to his question. "Heart condition? Not that I know of. I don't think she's mentioned it, why?"
Leon hums, nodding. Interesting. If you don't have a heart condition (going off on Sherry's response), then why did your smartwatch inform you that your heart rate was too high? At an odd time, as well. So, Leon then gives Sherry the rundown on why he's asking her these questions instead of you. Technically, he was going to ask you, but you're not at the DSO building currently.
After explaining the situation and his concerns to Sherry, she strokes her chin, nodding. "I see… you're worried that if she has a heart condition, it could get in the way of her work. Or that her job could affect her supposed heart condition. making it worse."
"Yes, that is correct, Sherry."
Before Sherry can respond, she peeks from Leon's shoulder and sees you entering the office with your tote bag, tablet, a stack of manila folders, and a coffee cup in your hands. Leon follows Sherry's gaze and quickly bids Sherry farewell before walking towards you.
Leon pauses when he sees you on the phone, speaking to someone. He looks over at Sherry, who gestures for him to continue what he's doing and questions why he stopped in the first place.
"I'm at work already, so I'll call you later." You mutter. "You'll have to end the call for me because my hands are full right now."
The person on the other end of the call hangs up their phone. You sigh, lifting your head from your shoulder, only to realize you made a mistake. Your phone slides off your shoulders and tumbles to the ground, but it doesn't fall to the ground. Leon manages to catch your phone for you before taking the stacks of manila folders from your hands.
"Busy morning already?" Leon murmurs, giving you a half smile.
You sigh, nodding. "Very. The minute I open my eyes, I already have tasks to do. I am not organized today. I'm all over the place," You ramble, putting your tote bag on your chair and turning your computer on. "Thank you for catching my phone and taking the folders from my hands."
"No need to thank me. I'm more than happy to help when you need it." Leon smiles, watching you get situated for the day.
You nurse your cup of coffee, waiting for your computer to load everything so you can start where you left off the day before. With one hand, you turn your tablet on, enter your pass code, and open a notes app that consists of your checklist for the day and work.
"Is there anything I can help you with, Leon—I mean, Mr. Kennedy?" You clear your throat, heat rushing to your cheeks as your heart starts racing against your chest.
It's a new day, and you've already embarrassed yourself. How lovely. But it's no surprise, since you always, somehow, manage to embarrass yourself without having to try. Maybe if you don't look at Leon, he won't notice your mistake.
Leon clears his throat. "There's something I need to ask you, but I want to ask you this question privately."
You peek at him. "I'm not getting fired, am I?"
"No, you're not getting fired. I'm not your boss; we're in different departments."
"Okay, so, if we were in the same department, would you fire me?"
"What? No, absolutely not. That's ridiculous."
You put your coffee cup on your desk and lock your desktop. You turn to Leon and nod to let him know that you're available to discuss whatever he wants to talk about. You get up from your desk and follow Leon out of the office. You pass Sherry, only to see her shoot a mysterious smile at you while sipping on her coffee.
Once you and Leon are out of earshot and the office, Leon doesn't stop there. He searches for an empty room where no one can walk in on the conversation. After two and a half minutes, Leon finds an unoccupied room and gestures for you to enter after opening the door for you.
You enter the office, subconsciously wiping your sweaty palms against your pants. Why are you so nervous? It's not like Leon is going to interrogate you, right? You'll be fine. Everything is going to be okay! Nothing to worry about at all!
"So, Mr. Kennedy, what do you want to ask me since you pulled me to an unoccupied room to ask me this question?" You tuck your hands in your pockets—it's deep pockets, too!
Leon closes the door behind him and approaches you. God, he's tall and beefy. A man! There's at least a foot distance between you and Leon; he's standing pretty close to you that you can smell his cologne. If your job wasn't on the line, you wouldn't mind blurring the line between professionalism and unprofessionalism. Heck, you would make it HR's problem if your job wasn't on the line and if Leon felt the same way. For now, it'll be in the back of your brain, never allowed to see the light.
Leon waves his hand in front of your face, head tilting to the side while gazing at you worriedly. "Are you alright?"
You smile at Leon. "I'm perfectly fine, Leon! Why'd you ask?" You didn't realize you said his name instead of his last name.
Leon smiles, looking down briefly, then back at you. You then realize that he's looking down at your smartwatch, the very watch that's screaming at you and Leon about your heart rate.
"WARNING: HIGH HEART RATE. Your heart rate increased above 120 BPM while—"
You quickly swipe the notification away before acting like nothing happened. Leon chuckles, shaking his head.
"Right. That reminds me. I hope this doesn't come off as rude, but I was wondering if you have a heart condition of any sort." Leon asks, crossing his arms over his chest.
Your eyes quickly fall onto his bulging biceps before quickly looking at his beautiful blue eyes. Shit, what was the question again? You awkwardly clear your throat, rubbing the back of your neck while looking at the bland decor of the office to calm your nerves and distract you.
After some time, you shake your head. "I don't have any heart conditions. Why'd you ask?"
Leon cocks his head to the side, looking at you curiously. "Can I ask you another question?"
"I don't know, can you? Also, you already asked me a question." You shrug, rocking back and forth on the balls of your feet.
"Alright, fair enough. May I ask you another question?" Leon shakes his head, trying to hold back a smile.
"I mean, you just did, but go ahead." You reply, pressing your lips into a thin line to stop yourself from laughing. God, you hate yourself sometimes.
Leon shakes his head, quietly laughing to himself. You find yourself staring at him, mesmerized by his beauty. He's so handsome. Everything about him makes him attractive, not just his looks and his massive biceps that you want to be put in a chokehold with.
"If you don't have a heart condition, what is the main cause for your heart rate to increase at an alarming rate?" Leon asks.
"I'm a nervous person by nature," You lie.
He does that thing again, tilting his head to the side like a confused puppy. "You're nervous whenever you're around me?"
You blink at Leon owlishly. There's no way you walked right into that, right? "Uh, I don't know why you would think that, Leon—ahem, Mr. Kennedy." Is the room suddenly hot? Why are you so warm?
"You don't have to call me by my last name when we're alone. Leon is fine." He reassures you, smiling at you. "What I meant to say is, whenever I'm around you, or in the same room as you, your smartwatch would notify you of your increasing heart rate. Does your smartwatch notify you of your heart rate regularly, or does it notify you whenever I'm around?"
You definitely walked in on that one, fuck. You pucker your lips and look away from Leon, hands propped on your hips. You can't choose the first option because it doesn't happen regularly, hence why you never put your smartwatch on silent. But you don't want to choose the second option because it's the correct answer. The best thing you can do is die.
You slowly nod, looking at him from the corner of your eyes before staring at your shoes. "I plead the fifth."
Leon raises an eyebrow at you. "Avoiding self-incrimination, I see," Leon mutters, stroking his chin while watching you closely. "That's not fair, you can't do that."
"Well, you didn't say that I can't plead the fifth."
"Okay, well, now I'm saying it. You can't plead the fifth."
You nearly stomp your feet on the ground. "What do you mean I can't plead the fifth?"
"Because I said so," Leon shrugs, watching you with pure amusement while you're having an internal conflict.
You stare at him, mouth agape. "You can't do that, that's not fair!"
Leon's eyebrows shoot to his hairline. "Oh, now you know what unfairness is!" Leon says, his shoulders shaking with laughter.
"Why are you laughing? This is no laughing matter!" You whine, covering your face with both your hands. God, can lightning strike you already?
While you're busy ruminating and shielding your face from Leon's view, you give him a clear view of your smartwatch screen. Leon leans forward to get a better look at your brightly lit smartwatch screen out of pure curiosity (and because he wants to mess with you a little more).
"WARNING: HIGH HEART RATE. Your heart rate increased above 120 BPM while…"
"Ah, there it is…" Leon murmurs, his eyes flickering back to you.
You peek from between your fingers to see how close his face is. You look at your watch and quickly swipe the notification away before turning around and proceeding to cover your face with your hands once more. Oh, so this was his plan the entire time!
"Stop, you're going to make my heart explode." You grumble, now pressing both hands to your chest. Your heart is thundering against your chest.
Leon shrugs, running his hands through his hair. "It's not like I'm doing it on purpose."
"I don't believe you." You snort, shaking your head. You eventually peek over your shoulder to see Leon toying with his Hamilton watch. God, the veins on his forearm. If you're in a cartoon, your eyes would be bulging out of your sockets, jaws to the ground with an AWOOGA blaring after you see those veins on his arms.
Leon looks up from his watch when he hears an audible smack. "What happened?"
"Nothing," is your immediate response while rubbing your throbbing cheek. What happens now after this? How can you go on about your day after this interaction with Leon? If anything, you're going to need to put your smartwatch on silent from now on.
Eventually, you and Leon make your way back to the office, exchanging words here and there. It doesn't feel uncomfortable between you and Leon. Leon is more loose around you, like he can joke with you and tease you, compared to the first time meeting you.
You also tease him back, but more shyly because of the thoughts in your head—how you just want him to… never mind. You're sure that Leon is very aware of that because of your smartwatch and because sometimes Leon catches you in the act of staring at him.
As you're locking your computer to go on your lunch break, Leon stops by your cubicle and watches you tuck your tablet into your tote bag. You look up and smile at him shyly, your heart punching against your ribcage.
"Do you need anything before I go on my lunch break, Leon—I mean, Mr. Kennedy?"
Leon chuckles. "I was wondering if you would like to join me for lunch."
"Yeah, I'd love to join you for lunch, Leon." You smile at him, warmth rushing to your face. "Will we be having lunch here, or outside of the DSO building?" You get up from your seat and push your chair in.
"Outside of the DSO building. Unless you prefer to have lunch on site?" Leon says, gesturing for you to follow him.
You walk beside Leon, tucking your hands in your pockets. "We can have lunch outside of the DSO building. I didn't bring lunch with me today."
As you and Leon walk to the elevator, you pass by Sherry, who quietly cheers and claps her hands. Leon has one hand hovering close to your back as you're both walking to the elevator and the parking lot to where his car is parked. It looks like things are budding between you and Leon, one heartbeat at a time.
Note: Lowkey was hesitant about posting this because it sort of kicked my ass when I typed it out. But once I got out of the complicated part of the fic (the government stuff), it was easy to type out from there. This idea has been sitting in my head for exactly a month now, wow. I hope you guys enjoyed the fic, cause I definitely enjoyed writing it :') Anyway, to all my new and returning readers, keep in mind that I ONLY post on my Tumblr (Genshinluvr) and my AO3 (Aaliah_exo)! Nowhere else except Tumblr and AO3!

Rookie! Leon who’s been separated from you due to the outbreak that’s taken over Racoon City. As he makes his way through RPD, evading all types of monsters and the tyrant he finds a safe room, giving him a moment of downtime. Reaching into his pocket, he pulls out his wallet and opens it, his eyes settling on the photo of you he’d slipped into the side window pocket. As he stares at your pretty face, he makes a mental promise to survive and make his way back to you.
RE4! Leon who’s out in Spain, sent out to find the presidents daughter. Exhausted from taking down countless of the infected whilst trying to find the girl that everyone so desperately wanted to find, he sat on the floor in an abandoned home, catching his breath. He took out his wallet, a small smile washing over his face as he saw the latest photo of you that he’d put in. Reaching behind the small photo, he pulled out a ring and stared at it, deciding that as soon as he made it home to you, he’d finally pop the big question.
RE9! Leon whose life was close to ending as he stumbled through the secret underground Umbrella lab that both himself and Grace were making their way out of. He ungracefully fell to the floor, blood spluttering out his mouth every time he coughed, unable to find the energy to continue on and find Elpis and Grace. Just like every other time he needed you, he pulled out his wallet, swiping his blood covered thumb against the plastic window that lay over your photo, distraught that his last moments would be away from you, but at least he was able to see your pretty face one last time before everything went dark.
“Would your hips break mid thrust?” You giggled between words, that was a way to start a conversation. The moment that sentence hit Leon's ears, he paused and slowly turned his head towards you, his eyebrows drawn together like he was processing what you just said. “Fuck kind of question is that? I literally just sat down.” He was so taken aback at the crazed topic, he genuinely didn't know what to even say.
Today was supposed to be a normal day. you were originally laying flat on your side on the sofa, watching whatever aired on TV and that's when Leon walked out from his room to find you. So peaceful and adorable, like you could do no wrong at all to him.
Leon walked his way over to sit next to you and hold you in his arms but instead you decided to be weird and say the most ridiculous thing he's ever heard you say in his life.
You couldn't stop giggling at your own silly question, his reaction made it worse like you couldn't breath "I'm just asking a genuine question here” your soft laughter died down and you only continued teasing him further by moving closer that your thighs were touching and your hand placed on his abdomen.
“I'm 49, not 80.” He said dryly followed by a stoic look while you had a kitty-ish smile across your face. The little minx you are “You're smiling now until this old man makes you scream sooner or later.” Leon warned, his eyes narrowed down at you while you just bit your lower lips, holding yourself from smiling any wider at what he just said.
“Wanna make it happen then, old man?” oh you really wanted it bad.
-
Leon was no psychic but he already predicted seeing you crying on his cock long before he got you laid flat on your stomach, knees sinked underneath the plush sofa and ass high in the air. The sound of sharp punishing snaps filled the living room and breathy high pitched cries that ripped from your throat every three seconds. “F-fuck.. Leon, slow down, it's.. too much!!” You sobbed out, gripped onto the couch cushion for dear life.
Leon got you completely bare underneath him, his large hands gripping your hips that his nails were digging in your skin repeatedly pulling you back on his thick cock. “What happened? Can't keep up with this old man, baby?” you could hear the stupid smug smirk on his face.
You were completely delirious now, body trembling constantly, covered in sweat, cunt absolutely soaked and swollen. Just when Leon felt his balls tighten —
*crack*
A groan followed by a hiss left Leon's lips, making him abruptly stop and slowly lean his body down carefully that his chest pressed against your back. “son of a bitch..” you heard the sound loud and clear, bursting out in laughter,“oh my god?!” you were at a loss for words that it came true but Leon would growl under his breath. “Shut up…” he was clearly embarrassed. After years of killing infected, fighting monsters and saving the world, this is what finally cracked his hips??!
Unbelievable he thought to himself.
The laughter died down quickly as you realized this was actually serious, “can you try to get off me?” You asked softly, turning your head over your shoulder to see his head bowed down onto your shoulder. “No..” Now you felt bad, "aw I'm so sorry, baby” you patted his head and because he couldn't pull out that meant you two were stuck like this for at least an hour whilst you comforted him and pressed a few kisses on his face as an apology.
“how about next time I take care of you, hm?” You cooed at him, stroking his hair making him lean into your loving touch. “yeah.. I'm not risking that again for a while.”

RE2:
this leon isn't that experienced. he probably had a gf and has had sex. but? he never knew sex could be that intense. he's sitting up against the bed, and you're riding him, your pussy sucking him in with squelching sounds. he's already came more than once, his dick aching and raw. you still grinded against his pelvis, moving your hips up and down no giving him any time to catch his breath.
"b-baby.. ple- AH!-" he whined "c-c'mon ba- babe! i can't do this anymore!" he panted, his own hips betraying him by bucking against you.
you were close, until you reached a pace, up-down up-down. he gasped and his hips moved against you "d-don't stop!" he drooled "s-so good, ba-abe"
he didn't want you to stop, everything about your pussy made him happy, giddy, he could only thought of you, his brain in a one track path, were you were everything he wanted.
RE4:
this leon? he's a bit more experienced, still a spring chicken, it was all work no play for him. a few rounds passed between you, he was behind you, pounding away, your chest was pushed down, your back arched. he'd already cum 3 times, but you were relentless, he stil pounded away, he was close, your cunt was perfect, moist, gummmy, welcome. like everything he missed in spain.
leon's voice cracked, he didn't think he could go anymore, he stopped to take a breather.
"ngh-" he panted, but you began fucking yourself back, his cock hitting the right spot, that made your walls tighten, trying to milk him for all he's worth. "o-oh.. calm.. calm down bab-by..." he huffed when your feet crossed over his ass, pushing him in.
he whined, actually a high pitched one, as if it was too much for him to even be inside you.
"e-easy... ah! s'too much!"
RE6 :
in here? leon is grown. not fully, he still can learn new things. but something he always falls for?
when he laid back, hands on your hips and helped you bounce away.
leon had his back against the headboard, not fully naked, but his purple button up shirt was wrinkled and open, leaving his sweaty chest out for you to rake. his hands, calloused from handling guns and weapons, squeezed each time you fell down.
"Careful, baby..." he huffed, he still teased you, but he started to stutter, and his groans morphed into moans, and you just couldn't help yourself. so you began moving up and down faster, your pussy wanting to melt his cock with how warm it was. and just when you felt him swolle a bit, you stop, and just sit still, looking into his eyes.
"hah- oh shi- baby, please... dont tease me.." he panted, with each breath, looking into your eyes with his blues, you could feel his cheeks, he was burning up, his hands tried to make you move, he needed the movement.
"c'mon sweetheart, do you really- ngh- ah- move..'ove.." he slurred, trying to kiss you.
there was still rookie in him.
"please"
RE9:
as soon as he had signal he had texted you one thing
"coming home baby, don't make plans tomorrow"
you thought he was talking about a surprise date he had planned for you, or a whole day together. you were wrong. as soon as leon got home, he didn't take his dirty combat boots or take a shower. he kissed you, as if he had missed you for a thousand years, leon's lips deepened the kiss, the warm chapped lips he had opened and his tongue slithered into yours. then, his arms lifted you up mid kiss and carried you to the bedroom.
that's how you got here. your hips held down his hands, pushing you down and sitting on his face.
he moaned and groaned into your cunt, his nose pressing against your clit just right and pressing each time his mouth moved. you tried to move, worried about his breathing, but he growled and shoved you deeper into his face.
his wet tongue pushed in, while his lips made out with your cunt, kissing it like it was a long lost lover he would never see again. he pecked it one last time before focusing on your nub, sucking on it, nibbling it gently but desperate. you pulled on his hair, moaning that 's'too much' but he went harder, sucking, licking, nibbling.
it reached a point where you could help yourself and you came all over his face. he gave you a second to catch your air. then, he looked up to you-
leon's eyes were dilated, his chin and stubble fresh with slick, a smile on his lips, then he said.
"i missed'em..missed you..." he nuzzled into your thight "let me memorize the taste.."
he wasn't leaving until wrangling his taste of you.
