Who tops in the good ending of the Morphine route in Dramatical Murder Re:Code? Desire or Mizuki? I’m voting Desire tops because he’s much more forward and aggressive than Reason Aoba. I just can’t see Mizuki topping him.
I call this a rant because stream of consciousness but I don’t have a lot bad to say at this point. Still gonna shove most of it below the cut for spoilers and tons of cussing that makes it sound like I’m angry but I’m really just rambling a bunch.
I love this story and this universe and these characters and this grandma and everything about it except the fact I don’t get to smash Mizuki.
I wish I jumped on this game when it was popular because what the fuck.
Fuck this show and this whole game’s universe. I’ve very quickly fallen in love with it. I’m the first guy to dive headfirst into a new series with no shame or second thought. Give me hours of internet research, gameplays, CG hunting, whatever I will do it and spoil it for myself like I do with every other game.
I don’t want to stan Noiz, because I’m not a Hot Topic tween anymore like I was with my tripp pants and wallet chains back in the day, but Noiz is quickly becoming my fav. Like, I REALLY don’t want to stan him because it seems like the popular choice. But I’m also not going to fuck the spirit living inside my dog, or the sketchy older dude that could crunch all my bones with his teeth. Of the 5 in the PC version of DMmd, Koujaku is my favorite option because I am a little bitch for the childhood-friends love story. And also Koujaku is a fine piece of man look at those tattoos I mean please.
I downloaded the PC game to my OOOOLD laptop (from like 2009 that runs on Vista Ultimate) so I’m in the process of playing it. I also downloaded Re:Connect and plan on grinding that out when I’m done.
My principal gripe about the content I’ve absorbed so far is that Re:Code gets the Mizuki-Morphine route. Feels like not having that plot-line in the original was either a clever $$$ idea, or a poor creative decision. It feels like I’m missing a true route by not playing Re:Code. But I also literally read an entire translation of his route online and all of the different outcomes etc and I’ve only been into this game for like 2-3 days? Nitro’s gonna get smashed on by me stg.
When I looked at the cast, Mizuki was the character that jumped out to me the most and I totally imprinted on it. He’s that nice hybrid of edgy and mature that makes you feel like he would be an honest, responsible partner that loves and cares and is super good to Aoba. Also he’s fucking adorable. I want to protect him.
ALSO it super gets to me that Sly Blue/Desire is into Mizuki. Like, real into him. And that they associated before Aoba lost his memories so Mizuki has already seen Aoba at his “worst.”

Plus I interpret his good Re:Code ending as Aoba flirting with him (even without Reason and Desire), and it having the potential to lead to more flirting/romantic stuff in the future just ‘cause Mizuki is dense and it’s obvious that at the very least Desire is into Mizuki. In Re:Connect they’re friendly, but like after what they went through together it makes sense that they’d be chill for sometime. But I picture down the line in the future Desire’s influence would potentially cause the rest of Aoba to feel ways because they do care about each other and paosdmosdjad
