‘I’ tend to find the concept of ‘deep thought’ an oxymoron. Thought usually feels more like a neverending cycle to ‘me’. An infinite sales pitch to itself where the buyer and the seller are the same. Except the ‘logic’ it uses as its mothertongue is not. (Infinite). There is no depth for ‘me’ to find in an abyss of ever-changing backdrops which sells yesterdays news like it’s happenning for the first time. It’s not news. We’ve all been here before. And will keep coming back. For the quintissential #thirdculturekid , the old saying ‘there’s no place like home’ can come with a set of implications that takes the deepest of self-introspection to not perceive with the eyes of a cynic. Into an abyss that can be disarmingly inviting in it’s promises of non-existent answers.
