Our state is making huge rollbacks to covid restrictions tomorrow, May 1, and doing away with everything except masks while indoors on May 19. Bars are opening back up. Store and building capacities are going back to pre-covid limits. And all of this means that I need to start getting used to going out in public again.
Today I got my hair cut for the first time in well over a year (probably closer to 2 years). And then I made the decision to go to the mall for a mani/pedi, pretzal bites, and Yankee candle. I was in and out in an hour and it was really clean, everyone wearing masks, etc. but I was definitely relieved to get back in my car and come home.
My work schedule is horrid for the next two weeks so I don't anticipate any more public outings, except maybe to Lowe's on Monday or Tuesday for garden/plant supplies. And I'm trying to eat what I have at home in the freezer and for non-perishables, so less grocery shopping as their restrictions ease.
But this girl will definitely be wearing her mask for the foreseeable future when in public.
