damn, today is just a self-hate day, isn't it?

#i #really do not have a lot of warm feelings for myself rn #lots of unhealthy today #kinda wanna just give up on all my ocs and never think about them again #cant write #cant do anything #it legitimately feels like every SINGLE time i bring my ocs up in a conversation the convo dies IMMEDIATELY thereafter #i get that its not that no one wants to hear about my ocs #its that they want to read about them #read stories #not listen to me ramble #but i cant fucking write rn #and all i wanna do is tell someone about my ocs #but it feels like no one wants to listen #its ALWAYS felt like that

One day I aim to be like you,meaning to say I hope my story can gain interest&an audience who actually care about my posts. Any tips? -LateBeginner-

1) Make a lot of stuff. Consistency is key. Quantity over quality.

2) Be kind, be patient, but don’t take shit. Most of the time, people aren’t rude on purpose. ...most of the time.

3) Stop counting notes. I know it’s hard, and I know it’s discouraging to not get your stuff noticed at first, but the internet is a big place.

Your audience needs time to find you. If you get angry at them for not finding you fast enough, you will only discourage them.

Your story should hinge on how much you want to keep creating it, not on how many notes you get. Your story is only as strong as your will to keep making it, even when no one is watching.
