just-one--more-page tagged me to do this tag. I actually saw katokeeffe do this tag on YouTube and I thought it looked really, so getting tagged got me really excited (though I’m kind of late, haha)
1. You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
The physical books that I actually have on my TBR is actually quite small. I do have a really long list that I intend to do a book haul on. Also, I am really behind on a lot of series right now. So if there is a newly released book (like The Heir, Miss Mayhem, Red Queen), I read that first. Then, I try to catch up on all the other series I need to catch up on (embarrassingly i.e. Heroes of Olympus, Throne of Glass...)
2. You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
If it is a super popular book, I try but I still drop it. If I’m not feeling it, I’m wasting my time because I know there are so many other ones that I actually want to read. I am sorry guys but I didn't love Paper Towns like so many others did.
3. The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
I always have low expectations of myself so my reading challenge is not that crazy; I don’t think I will need to catch up. But if I am really behind, I think will try but still think I won’t make it, haha.
4. The covers of a series you love do. not. match. How do you cope?
Gosh, I don’t even want to talk about it. That is why it is better to wait until a whole series is out and then get them. If I already have most of the series, I don’t bother to buy new ones (like The Mortal Instruments), I feel bad for my mom.
5. Everyone and their mother loves a book you really don’t like. Who do you bond with over shared feelings?
Tumblr, yay! Or Booktube and Goodreads.
6. You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
I cry (”just a little when I think of letting go”)
7. A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book?
I don’t re-read it because usually, a good book summarizes the previous book very briefly. Again, another reason why marathoning a series is the best.
8. You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people nope when they ask?
Before, I have been really stupid about these situations, I want to share books with others and I tell them to be careful but sometimes they still come back horribly. I tell people that I had some bad experiences, but sometimes I just avoid the topic and go like “Oh! It’s in the library, you can get it!”
9. You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
I re-read some of my favorites.
10. There are so many new books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
Ha. Um, I try to even out the hauls, so I won’t get on my mom’s bad side. I just get the ones that I have been most excited about, obviously (like series).
11. After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
That depends on if I am reading a book/series during that time. If I am (I usually am), those books would just have to wait. I’ll come around to them, eventually.
I’ll tag disorganizedartist and boneseasonofglass haha because I’m too lazy to tag any other particular people. I tag all of you then, yay!
