This book has been on my “Currently Reading” list for more than a year now and I really need to focus on this. I been getting too distracted. Has anyone read Mistborn?

Oh no! It’s dead! That moment when you want to read your book but find out that your ereader is dead. Now where is my charger? Have you ever had to deal with this? And how time did you forget to charge your e-reader. 😭🥺😔

Today I will be taking on Reader Problems Tag. I will be talking about some of the problems we face as booknerds. What are some of the problems you face?
I've just finished a novel series I was completely immersed in...like completely. And I'm suffering from like..withdrawal. Damn it fantasy. But its really driving me nuts and does anyone know what I can do about it? I haven't read in a really long time and then I got into this
Honestly I'm upset by some of it
I really hate when something I've been reading for so long ends up as a memoir. Like 10 years later the main character is deciding on a name for her autobiography or something. I don't know why, I just hate it. First of all I think it isn't very good writing. Secondly the author does it thrice. First at the end of the series, then TWICE in a sequel. Which not only takes strange jumps, but ends up literally millennia later where the artificial intelligence is telling the story and looking over the main protagonists descendants. What the fuck??
I really loathe this writing...uh..strategy? Especially in sci fi worlds because I just want to imagine my favorite characters just living in the present and enjoying their lives and not having their whole lives decided and ended so abruptly for me, the reader, who's been on this journey with the characters and oh wait they're all 30. Oh wait now they're 40. Oh hold on ok they're dead.
And the way it was done was so shoddy. The 10 years later epilogue comes directly after the end of the final battle. No aftermath (for the world), no waking up in the hospital, no relationship build up, nothing about the emotional trauma or changes in the group dynamic. Nothing. Bas. Ten years later look its my kid and this is the guy i married and shit.
Also UGH the love triangle. He just NEVER gets over her and is constantly miserable until he ends up liking and marrying her KID??? Which okay you live for hundreds of years so its not as big a deal but come on, such a tired writing strategy plot thing again. Couldn't he just acknowledge that he was responsible for his feelings and really loving someone meant letting them be happy and deciding to love himself more and move on and find happiness with someone else or not even, just like...live your life man why are you so obsessed.
This is why I need fanfic. Ugh. I'm just pretending the epilogue and sequel didn't happen this is the only way I can be happy. Goddammit.
Also if anyone of you can suggest ways of getting out of fantasy novel headspace, I would really appreciate it. Real world is very very bland right now man I wish I could time travel to 1000 years in the future.
