Alisa has always been able to get what she wanted from a young age, using her beauty and charm to her advantage. After being pampered and spoiled her whole life she expected whatever she wanted to fall right into her lap. If it didn’t she was going to get it regardless of what she needed to do, and keep it.
*Flashback to when they were younger*
When Alisa was told to go to Lev’s volleyball game she was going to skip, seeing as her younger brother wasn’t worth her time. Ever since he came into her life she has had to actually work to keep all their parents' attention on her. It became easier to do the older Lev got. When he was young Alisa tried causing trouble and blaming it on Lev, but seeing as he was a child their parents passed it off as he didn’t know any better. Lev received harsher punishments as he got older for things he didn't do. When he tried to tell his parents that it was actually Alisa doing all these things he received an extra slap or beating. His parents could never believe that their “Golden child” and “Little perfect Princess” would constantly cause trouble so it was automatically Lev’s fault.
During Lev’s final middle school year he decided that if he showed good grades his parents would start believing him. They didn’t, but they did stop abusing him, seeing how he showed that he was worth something, they let the trouble he “caused” slide as long as he continued to perform great in school. Alisa wasn’t happy with that. Lev was working his way back into their parent’s hearts and she hated it. So she was going to do something about it.
Lev suddenly was doing terribly in most of his classes and he couldn't understand how. His assignments would be completed and all correct but when he got them back they were completely wrong and not what he marked them as. It was the same with his tests. When confronted his teachers about it they all made a scene and made it seem like Lev was just stupid, He felt like he was going crazy. His parents were right back to hating and blaming him for stuff that he didn’t do. Lev just wanted to hurry up and finish school. He had no plan to go to high school, but his parents, not wanting a “stupid son” are giving him no choice but to go.
Lev started to notice a pattern with his classes. He was failing the classes had with male teachers but not his female teachers, and it wasn’t like his grades dropped in those classes, they were still the same. He had one teacher where his grades hadn’t dropped drastically, so he was visiting his teacher and asking how he could bring his grades back up.
He decided to wait until after school to ask about his grades to avoid being made fun of in front of the other students. Turning around the corner, what he wasn’t expecting was to see his sister going into his teachers room. He should have guessed that Alisa was the reason as to why he was failing. Peeking through the door and trying to hear what was happening, he stood wide-eyed and in disgust. Lev knew why he was only failing in his male teacher’s classes now. Alisa was sleeping with his teachers, no wonder he wasn’t failing with the female teachers. Lev couldn’t believe that own blood sister hated him to the point that she would let people use her body to get what she wanted.
Lev quickly took a photo of them in the act and hurried home, he was going to tell their parents and make them see that all the things happening wasn’t his fault.
After getting home he immediately told his parents what he witnessed and got into a screaming fight with the two. His father was first to get physical and usually Lev would just sit there and wait until he was done but this time he was gonna make him listen. Lev managed to get his father to the ground and hold him long enough to get the phone in his and show him the picture. While his father looked at the photo, his mother came behind him and grabbed his hair. She began hitting and dragging him off his father, screaming about how she “couldn’t believe that she had such a demon for a son” and that “his sister was a saint that never went against their word” among other things. She didn't stop hitting him until his father yelled at her. By then Lev's face was scratched up and bloody.
“When did you take this photo?” his father asked him in a cold tone.
“I took it after school, I was going to ask if there was a way I could bring my grades back up” Lev answered weakly. His head hurt from his hair being pulled so harshly.
His dad showed the photo to his mother and she immediately began to make excuses for Alisa, her daughter wouldn’t let anyone touch her body like that! She screamed more bullshit and concluded that it was Lev’s fault again. She was about to attack him again when Alisa came through the door.
Alisa’s mood was already good, but after seeing Lev beat up sitting on the floor she couldn’t help the smirk that quickly came on her face. It disappeared just as fast as it came.
“Hi mommy, hey daddy. What’s going on?” Alisa asked. She greeted her mother with a hug and moved to hug her father but was stopped by his hand.
“Alisa. What were you doing all day?”
“Hmm? Nothing much. I just went shopping with some friends. Oh! Mommy! I’ve GOT to show you the new dresses I got. They just dropped-” she was interrupted by her father.
“That’s not what I meant. What were you doing at Lev’s school this afternoon?”
Alisa’s face went a little pale. She couldn’t understand how he knew about it so she just decided to play dumb.
“Da-Daddy I wasn’t at Lev’s school at all today. I told you I went shopping…. Look! I can show you all the stuff I bought—”
“ENOUGH!” He exclaimed. “I could care less about the clothes you bought. I want to know why you are in this picture fucking Lev’s teacher!” He yelled, shoving the photo in her face.
Alisa went wide-eyed and pale. Her eyes quickly moved from the photo to her mother and father, then to Lev who was still sitting on the floor cradling his head.
‘Lev.. that dumbass saw me. He probably knows and told dad about the other teachers too…’ Alisa thought fuming inside. She knew that she had been caught and would be in trouble, but she needed to find a way to make this Lev’s fault. So she did the one thing she knew would win her parents over, cried.
They were all shocked at Alisa’s sudden tears but their mother was quick to comfort her daughter.
“I just wanted to help Lev out!” She sobbed out loud. “I saw how he was suddenly doing so poorly in his classes and I wanted to help! So I went and talked to his teachers. An-And they said if I loved my brother I would do anything for him. Then they said I-if I slept with them they’d pass him!” She sobbed out.
Their mother was trying to calm down Alisa while their father just watched in silence, thinking.
“It’s that demon boy’s fault that our baby is doing this!” She Squawked again, blaming Lev.
“Alisa. You and your mother are leaving for a few days. I’ll handle everything else” He cut in, picking Lev up by the arm and dragging him out the room. Lev was in too much pain to fight back or protest.
He dragged Lev to a spare room and slammed the door shut as they entered. “Now you’re gonna tell me what you have to say for yourself-” He stopped seeing Lev, already tucked in a corner trying to make himself as small as possible. Only then did his father notice the blood dripping from his head and arms. And the multiple scratches covering his arms.
Lev’s body shook as he tried to back away from his approaching father. Muttering how this wasn’t his fault. Suddenly, his dad grabbed his arms and made him face him. He was shocked to see the amount of fear in Lev’s eyes as he just stared frantically, looking between his father and the door to see if he could make a run for it.
Lev thought he was gonna die that night.
But he was shocked when he let him go and just stood by the door. “I told you to start explaining this shit” he spoke, eyes never leaving Lev.
Lev explained everything. How Alisa is lying about doing that on his behalf. Bringing up all the other things she has done and the lies she told them just so they’d punish him for stuff he didn’t do. He even showed his report card and how he was doing well before Alisa got involved. “I never told you about the other teachers but Alisa basically told you herself. I’m not failing with my female teachers and I’m pretty sure you know why Dad. I can bring my grades up on my own if that’s what you're concerned about. alisa doesn’t want me to be happy; I wouldn’t put it past her if she was the reason I am failing now. She doesn’t need to be involved with me anymore, she hates me. You and mother hate me too…” Lev spoke weakly.
“I-I don’t hate you son” “Don’t you call me that now. Please. You’ve NEVER treated me as a son for as long as I can remember. I’m that ‘demon son’ and the ‘waste of space child’ remember? If you don’t hate me, why do you beat me every time Alisa says I did sometime? Why do you never believe me when I’m crying that I never did anything? You never loved me at all. Let alone a son.” Lev spoke, voice laced with pain. His father stood speechless, not knowing how to respond.
Lev laughed humorlessly “if you love me…. let me leave this house. No one wants me here anyway. Let me leave.”
His father had no words for him after that. He just left Lev in the room to tend to his own injuries. The next day all Lev’s teachers were fired and arrested. Lev was true to his words when he said that he would bring his grades up on his own. His father definitely left him alone more now. Not even bothering to believe some of the things that Alisa told him about. That didn’t mean his wife was any more lenient. If anything, she beat him even more when his father was away. Believing every lie Alisa said. When his father finally did intervene, he just kicked him out of the house. When he graduated from middle school he came home and saw his things already packed and his mother yelling about how happy she was to get rid of him.
Lev didn’t even try to fight with them and just left. Not missing the smirk on Alisa’s face. His father handed him the last bag and note and closed the door. Lev looked that the note and it read
‘Call the number and they will take care of everything else’
He called and a few moments later a car drove up and a familiar face appeared before Lev. It was just one of the help but it was someone Lev trusted dearly. He was an old man but dedicated to his job. He took Lev to a roomy apartment far away from his old home. The old man explained to him that his father arranged for him to live here. That he will get a weekly allowance and that the rent would be paid until he graduated high school. The old man stayed to help Lev get settled and then left.
Lev just sat in the mood of his new living room, thinking about everything that has happened to him, he was too tired to eat anything so he just went to sleep, feeling the safest he’s ever been in a long time.
I’ve never actually asked A day for 2
