Hello! I was wondering if you could do headcanons for a semi-AU in which Clementine’s S/O is bitten instead of her after the battle with Delta? Thanks!!!
I’m gonna combine this with some requests about Clem taking care of an injured s/o after Delta. enjoy my friend :)
They had been running for who knew how long.
Their lungs were burning.
They legs were aching.
AJ’s little legs could barely keep up anymore.
Y/N swept forward.
Whisking him into their arms.
“I gotcha buddy.” They said.
Continuing to run.
It slowed them down, but just enough.
At least, it was when Y/N tripped.
And AJ went flying.
AJ landed on his side.
Groaning at his scraped-up skin.
“AJ!” Clem wailed.
Quickly relieved seeing him okay.
That wasn’t the case for Y/N.
Y/N was on the ground.
Groaning and scraped up.
Until a force landed in their leg.
And they yelped.
Clementine’s heart jumped into her throat.
No.
It couldn’t be.
It was.
Y/N was bitten.
It was over.
Despite being a wreck, Clementine tried tugging.
Pulling them to their feet.
Guiding them away from the scene.
But they were slow, and injured.
“We need to get home.” Clem urgently whispered.
Y/N groaned, clinging to her.
She couldn’t lose them.
She just couldn’t.
She ran.
As much as she could.
Carrying as much of their weight as possible.
Scrambling back to the Richmond front gates.
Being quickly locked in by Aasim and Ruby.
“You need to help them.” Clem pleaded.
Ruby squeezed her hands reassuringly.
“I’m going to. We won’t let anything happen to them.” She assured.
Softly.
Then tucking some of her frantic hair out of her face.
Violet knew they needed to sever the leg.
And she knew she needed to do it.
She hated every second of it.
But it was done.
Ruby worked quickly.
Disinfecting.
Slowing the blood.
Giving them water.
Treating everything as quickly as possible.
Then rushed then to bed to rest.
Clementine glued to their side every moment.
Clem didn’t sleep.
She stayed awake at their bedside all night.
Bringing them medicine and water.
Redressing their wounds.
Talking to them.
Promising them they would be okay.
She placed warm and cool cloths on their forehead.
Depending on what they needed.
And stroked their cheek as they began to drift to sleep.
She stayed glued to their side.
Only leaving to fetch them breakfast the next morning.
Telling everyone they were doing okay.
Then vanishing back to their room.
Every time they woke up, Clem apologized.
Teary eyed.
Wishing she could’ve done more for them.
Feeling as though she had caused this.
And every time they stroked her hair.
Brushed her tears.
And assured her of otherwise.
Clem crawled into their mattress that night.
Crawling in beside them.
Nuzzling her head into their neck.
Keeping them close all night long.
“Are you feeling okay today?” She gushed.
Holding their hand the next morning.
Offering them something to eat.
She then redressed their wound.
Kissing their pained face tearfully once she was done.
She kissed the backs of their hands as they slept.
Wanting to cherish them every moment of every day.
She popped outside only once a day.
To offer the rest of the kids updates.
To express her sorrow.
To remind everyone of how much she loved them.
And the moment they healed enough to walk outside, Y/N did all the same things.
Reminding them all how much they loved her.
How tender she was.
How genuinely she adored them.
They were a chaotic mess of a couple.
But they adored each other so genuinely that nothing else even mattered.
