Ao3 || Masterlist
The entirety of today was exhausting. Fighting daemons at sunrise, fighting off imperial MTs all day long, dreadful side quests of catching... frogs. At this point, Noctis was done with fighting, with people, and he wanted nothing more than to sleep.
He thanked the gods when he and the others settled down at a Haven, it was about dusk by the time they reached it. After eating and hanging out for a while, Noctis decided to sleep early that night.
…Unfortunately, it didn't work out that well.
He tossed and turned, earning disgruntled groans from Gladio who felt each of them. He couldn't sleep longer than ten minutes at a time, it was infuriating.
Eventually, he gave up and snuck out of the tent, heading off on his own to explore nearby the haven. He came up upon a small dock heading out onto the river, which gave him some relief. If he couldn't sleep, then maybe fishing will clear his mind.
He walked up to the end of the dock and summoned his fishing rod, looking around the calm river curiously. He tossed the bait into the water and waited, sighing in relief. It felt like forever since he last fished.
He spent a couple of hours there, reeling in fish occasionally and tossing them back (since Ignis wasn't there to nag him about keeping them for food). Nighttime was beginning to settle, and all that there was to illuminate his surroundings was a giant pole near the edge of the water. He didn't mind the darkness, as long as the daemons stayed away.
He was by himself most of the time until he heard some rustling behind him. He pushed away his paranoia, a daemon wouldn't get this close to lights or water. Fortunately, all that emerged from the pathway was you. He noticed you when you walked past him, causing him to raise his brows in surprise.
You seemed to be in the same predicament as him: exhausted, but not tired enough to sleep. You also had a similar hobby, and were pretty decent at fishing, not to mention you were brave enough to travel at night just to do it.
Noctis found himself distracted and somewhat enamored by you. It wasn't until he felt a tug from his line when he finally ripped his gaze from you. Feeling slightly panicked to "impress" you, he quickly pulled on his reel a little too hard, completely snapping his line. He heard a soft snicker from beside him, causing his cheeks to heat up barely. The prince glanced at you and sighed, quickly looking away, embarrassment flooding his features. What made it worse was that he was out of line.
You let out a soft laugh at his disgruntled features. “Here, I brought some extra, don’t worry.” You said, digging in your tackle box. Once you pulled out a line, you passed it to him. “I don’t see many fishers around these parts anymore, especially at night time.” You commented, tilting your head to the side.
Noctis raised a brow as he kind of avoided your gaze. “Right... I’m not from around here.” He pointed out, fixing up his fishing rod. “What are you doing out here so late?” The prince asked, raising a brow at you.
“Ohh, you know, my friends got on my nerves all day long, I needed a break.” You explained, casting your line once again. “What about you?”
“Same here.” He answered simply. You nodded quietly, returning to the somewhat awkward silence. “Are you from here?” He asked, attempting to make conversation.
“Unfortunately, I am not. I live in Lestallum.” You answered, smiling over at him. Noctis would never admit it, but his heart did flutter a little at your smile.
“I see, Lestallum is pretty far, isn’t it?” He asked, casting his line. This small talk was somewhat dreadful, but he wasn’t ready for you to leave yet.
“It is... Sometimes I drive out here just to fish.” You explained, patiently waiting for your line to catch something. “It’s worth it. Lestallum gives me a headache with all the work and my roommates make it even worse some times.” A sigh left your lips as if you were already dreading going back. “What about you? You don’t seem like you’re from around here either.” You commented, discreetly looking him up and down.
“Oh... Uh, yeah. My friends and I are traveling around a bit.” Noctis responded, avoiding the truth. “It’s uh... A hobby.” He added, rubbing the back of his neck. You laughed softly.
“It’s quite an expensive hobby, isn’t it?” You asked, your voice in a teasing tone. He let out a light chuckle, nodding.
The two of you carried on with this banter for a while, until the sun began to rise again. Noctis groaned at the sight as he sent away his fishing rod. “It’s daytime again.” He sighed, looking over at you.
“So it is...” You hummed, reeling your line back in. “Do you want to get breakfast together? I know a place not far from here.” You asked, looking over at him and smiling warmly. His heart fluttered again as a very slight blush formed on his cheeks. The guys wouldn’t miss him too much, right?
“Yeah, sure.” He answered without missing a beat. The others will be fine, he’ll be gone for another hour or so. Noctis waited as you packed up your things, offering to carry your tackle box back to your car.
After driving in comfortable silence for a while, the two of you stopped by a nearby diner. "It's small, but it's a lot better than Kenny Crow in my opinion. Don't tell anyone I said that." You joked, guiding him inside and taking a seat near the window.
A small grin formed on Noctis' face as he nodded, taking a seat across from you. "It looks... Nice. How did you find a place like this?" He asked curiously, picking up the menu.
"Do you want the honest answer or the answer I told my friends?" You asked, raising a brow. "Honest answer would be that I was depressed and wanted a milkshake, but Kenny Crow doesn't make milkshakes anymore. The answer I tell my friends is that I was on the run and had to hide. I'm not sure why I lie about it, but they seemed to believe it so..." Your voice trailed as a laugh left his lips.
"That's fair enough." He responded, looking over the menu at you for a moment. He took his time admiring you in clear lighting. Everything about you was... Cute, he enjoyed your time and personality, he also enjoyed your stories about your friends. Prompto, Ignis, and Gladio would love to meet you. He was almost tempted to ask you to join him on his adventure. He saw your weapons in the back of the car, so that meant you could fight, right? But at the same time, he was on his way to marry Lunafreya... He couldn't be catching feelings for someone he met randomly at night. But your smile and your laugh would make his heart flutter, his cheeks would heat up and pull out a laugh from him as well. He liked you, more than he should probably admit.
"-tis. Hey, Noctis?" You called out to him, smiling. "It's your turn to order." You stated, discreetly nodding to the waitress standing over them.
"Oh- uh, I just want this." He pointed to something random on the menu. After the waitress walked away, he felt embarrassment flood his veins. "Sorry about that."
You snickered and waved it off. "No worries. You seem... Conflicted, is everything okay?" You asked, tilting your head to the side.
He nodded quietly, unsure of how to put his feelings into words. He's only known you for a couple of hours, was it wrong to feel this way? That didn't stop him regardless. He knew he liked you. "Yeah, I'm good. Tell me what it's like living in Lestallum. My friend has a sister who lives there." He explained, offering a weak smile.
As you began to talk, he felt himself go back to his thoughts. Noctis was aware that he was overthinking it all, and that after today, the two of you would probably never see each other again. But was that what he really wanted?
After your meal, the ride back to the camp was tough. Noctis yearned to ask you to stay, to spend more time with him, but he knew he couldn't. He was going to be married soon, it was wrong.
He couldn't help it, with the little amount of time you've spent together, you made him feel things he never felt. All of that was being ripped away from him as he stepped out of your car. "It was nice meeting you, make sure to stop by whenever you're in Lestallum." You said with a smile.
He returned it reluctantly, nodding. "I'll consider it. I'll see you around." Noctis murmured, looking away from you. You tilted your head to the side, before grinning.
"Hey, there's something else I forgot to say. Come here." You waved him back in the car, watching as he got back in.
"Yeah?" He asked, looking over. Without a single moment of hesitation, you pressed your lips to his, planting a quick and chaste kiss to his lips. While it was merely a couple of seconds to you, it was an entire eternity for him.
His shocked expression made you giggle once you pulled away. "I look forward to seeing you again." You whispered. He held a bewildered look on his face as his eyes moved from your eyes to your smiling lips.
"I... I'll keep that in mind." He tried playing off his flustered state, keeping his voice cool and calm while a red blush raged on his cheeks. "Thanks." He muttered, offering an awkward smile as he got out of the car again.
After that, he watched you drive off, a quiet sigh leaving his lips. With that little time you two spent together, he swore he would never forget it.
There was some more silence that stretched out afterwards. From the other side of the table, beyond the candlelight, you felt Noctis' calm dark blue eyes focusing on you.
It was a bait, you couldn't help but think. A little lure that he had cast onto the still pool of your mind, hopeful that he'd caught something precious. But instead of a treasure, all that you had to offer was mud and worms.
With everything going on right now, it seemed like an emergency piece was in order. I know it’s not much, but it’s something fluffy.
I hope everyone is doing alright. Stay safe and take care of yourself. We’ll get through this together.
Once upon a dark and stormy night…
Hooves beat against the stone bridge, wet from the onslaught of rain. But horse and rider barely noticed, for they were too focused on what lay beyond. Around mazes of thorns and over soaked ruins they sped, determined to make it in time.
“But will they?” The shadows sang in your ear. Darkness itself had imprisoned you here, far away from the world and everything you once loved.
The shadows slithered around the room, coalescing to form the visage of a man you knew all too well: Ardyn. “If only your dear prince had listened to you...Then he wouldn’t have to die.”
His lips curled into a sneer. You could feel his sick excitement at the prospect. You lunged, trying to tackle him so he couldn’t harm your prince, but he melted back into the shadows, flying out the window of the tower, leaving the image of his sick smile in your mind.
You ran to the window, watching the shadows slither towards your rescuer. Noctis rode on, unaware of the beast approaching. You called out his name, but the storm swallowed any sound.
Lightning flashed and shadows rose from the ruins. Ardyn took shape into a form ten times the size of any man as dark sludge swirled around him. He smiled at the oncoming rider, black ooze spilling from his mouth.
With lighting fast reflexes, he attacked! “NOW, YOU DIE, PRINCE NOCTIS!” The giant called. He lashed out with one great fist, heading straight for the oncoming prince.
“NOCT!!” You called out, again. But you never knew if he heard you.
Ardyn’s attack connected. Noctis was sent flying from his saddle into the dark ruins of the cliff top fortress. His horse spooked and ran back the way it had come.
Black sludge gurgled from his mouth as Ardyn laughed with joy. Tears started to stream down your eyes. This couldn’t be the end…
And you were right. Noctis scrambled to his feet, adjusting his armor and footing on the wet stone. Then, he faced Ardyn.
“I came here to rescue [Y/N] and I don’t plan on letting the likes of you get in my way!” He held his sword at the ready, facing down the challenges before him with a newfound determination. You had never seen Noctis like this. He was the image of hope in this stormy world.
“That won’t help you now!” Ardyn lashed out again, but Noct dodged, rushing past Ardyn’s fist and straight at the menace.
The battle raged on below as shadow clashed with steel. Noctis put his life on the line for you with each attack, knowing he was very likely outmatched.
You watched the battle from high atop the tower Ardyn had locked you in. From your perch, all you had seen for days were these hideous ruins and the dark abyss that lay all around. The fortress had once been a clifftop watchtower, but the ghosts of time left the tower in ruins and the cliffs it perched upon weatherd and thin. One wrong step and Noctis would drop to his doom or swallowed by Ardyn’s shadows. And he did it all for you.
The mere thought terrified you. Terror lead to new determination, though. Noctis was your prince! You had to find a way to help him!
Without thinking you dashed down the slick steps from the tower, until you reached the door below. You found it locked, as it always was. You threw your weight against it, but the old wood stood still. Again and again, you pushed, letting bruises form on your arms and cover your body in pain, but it was worth it. The will of the gods was on your side, though, for the door finally gave way.
You burst into the storm, surprised at your own entrance! Before you the battle continued, your own fight with a simple door seeming futile in the face of the ongoing match between magic and shadow.
Noctis was bleeding from a great gash on his arm, but he had drawn dark incor from Ardyn’s cheek, as well. Both were drenched from the storm, but neither was willing to slow down.
You caught Noct’s attention. He turned his head ever so slightly to look at you, a figure of peace amongst the ruins and wreckage. The shift did not go unnoticed by Ardyn, though.
The Usurper seized on this opportunity and lashed out at nearby rubble, sending the ancient stone flying towards the prince. Noct dodged, rolling through puddles, just as the rubble crashed to the ground. But the stone did not lie still in its place, for the ground under the stone gave way, revealing that the earth supporting the ruins’ pillar was not as stable as it once had been.
The Prince’s eyes brightened with a new strategy. With a great throwing motion that took his whole body, Noctis summoned the swords of the kings and hurled them towards his nemesis. Ardyn was pushed back towards the cliffs surround the castle. Again, Noctis threw the blades, and again Ardyn was pushed back as he tried to shield his face with his arms. Ardyn lashed out but he was too far from the center of the castle, the ground gave way around him and he tumbled into the dark abyss below.
Noctis ran to you as the Usurper’s cries faded. You melded into each other’s’ arms. “Are you hurt?” Your Prince’s question seemed trivial after everything that had transpired, but it was spoken with such love that you couldn’t rebuke it.
Where you hurt? Physically…no. But you knew you’d never be the same.
The tears came of their own accord from a fear you had buried long ago. You collapsed to the ground, cushioned by Noctis’s arms. All the Prince could do was hold you, for your tears summoned his own.
Fear had racked the Prince’s heart for so long, but he kept pushing it down, not letting others see its hold on him. Fear that he would lose you or that he couldn’t save you.
For a long while, the two of you sat in each other’s arms, amongst dark ruins where evil slept. Each of you had come so far thinking you were the one to be rescued. But in reality, you rescued each other.
Noctis pulled his head back to look at you. Quietly, he hushed your sobs while feebly wiping tears from your cheeks.
“It’s going to be ok. It’s going to be ok…” he whispered, trying his hardest to smile. He pulled you close, warming your lips against his as he desperately sought to feel you. And for a moment, you heart quieted. He was real.
You kissed him again. His lips were soft and warm. You could taste the rain on his skin, but you could also feel his tenderness in every way he held you. He tasted the same way he had before all of this started, so maybe, some things really didn’t change.
No. Neither of you was alright. But you had each other to hold while you figured out what it meant to be alright.
“Let’s go home,” you whispered, “it’s too wet here.” Both of you laughed before getting to your feet. The journey would be long, but you would walk it together.
---------
“Good morning, darling!” You opened your eyes. You were at home, in your bed. The sun was starting to shine in through the windows of your bedroom.
“How’d you sleep?” You turned over to see your boyfriend, Noctis sitting up next to you. He looked like a handsome mess as he struggled to wake up. It had been a long week for both of you. Even his eyes were red from the night before.
“I slept...alright,” you responded, “but I had the weirdest dream.”
Noctis flopped on top of you, trapping you in your bed. “I want to hear all about it.”

Synopsis: You just wanted to know his name. Was that too much to ask for? Apparently so according to the bratty prince.
Author’s Note: This is a one shot? It’s short. It ends abruptly. BUT I may make another part to it if you guys want to see more! Just let me know! Enjoy!
“So…” You dragged out the ‘o’ as you rocked back and forth on your heels, hands clasped behind your back, and a clearly not innocent smile on your face as you looked at the prince of Lucis beside you.
“What?” He irritably asked. Noctis knew whenever you started a sentence with “so” and rocked on your heels, you wanted something from him. And usually it was something he didn’t want to do.
“When’s your body guard coming to pick you up?” You blinked at the raven-haired boy. Both of you were standing in front of the school gates, waiting for Noctis’s “body guard” as you referred to him as to take Noctis home. Noctis and you both lived in the same building complex – and were even neighbors – so naturally you guys became acquainted. You didn’t want to get too involved with the future king of Lucis’s life but you did consider him a close friend of yours. However, you did draw lines to just how close you’d get to the prince. Like when he would invite you over to play video games or offer you ride homes in his body guard’s car. Usually you opted out for both occasions. You never accepted rides from the prince and just walked home instead. So, you’d wait until his ride came to keep him company. He had another friend, Prompto, but he lived on the other side of town and usually got an early start with his walk home. However, today would be different. Today, you’d accept a ride from Noctis if he were to offer one.
“Who? Gladio? He doesn’t pick me up,” Noctis arched a brow at you.
You instantly shook your head. “Not muscle man, the other one!”
“Specs?”
“Bingo,” You grinned at him. “What’s his name again?”
“Why?”
“Since we’re best friends and all-“
“We’re neighbors who happen to live in the same apartment complex and attend the same high school.”
“Best friends. Anyways, what’s his name, Noct?”
“Why is he important?”
“Do you like me?”
“What?!” Noctis turned to face you immediately as you said that. You stopped rocking on your heels and placed your hands on your hips and began to circle the boy.
“I mean, you won’t tell me the name of your body guard –“
“Adviser.”
“Adviser, whatever,” You waved his remark off. “And I feel like I should know his name considering we’re best friends. I mean, I know of Prompto and Gladiolus, why not adviser guy?”
“What does this have to do with me liking you?”
“So, you admit it! You like me!” You pointed an accusing finger at him. Noctis’s face immediately turned red. He instantly slapped your hand down.
“Not even.”
“Then why won’t you tell me his name?! Are you scared I might like him better than you?”
“No-“
“Because if you are, you’re probably right,” You grinned at him.
“Don’t you have to go do something else like homework? You really don’t have to wait with me today,” Noctis grumbled under his breath. You rolled your eyes at his statement.
“Aren’t you going to offer me a ride home?”
“You’re going to say no,” Noctis shrugged.
“Try me.”
He arched a brow at you while you grinned at him. “…Y/N, want a ride back home?”
“Sure!” You grinned at Noctis’s now shocked face. He’s known you since middle school and you’ve never accepted a ride from him before. Ever.
“Seriously?”
“Dead ass.” You continued to grin in his face. Your eyes skimmed past him and at the black car with the flags of Lucis on it. Immediately, your face grew with excitement as you saw the man in the driver’s seat. “Our ride is here! I call shotgun!”
“We have to sit in the back. Ignis won’t allow anyone in the front.”
“Ignis…” The name rolled smoothly off your tongue. “His name is Ignis…”
Noctis hated the lavish parties his father was required to throw every month, you knew this. Being a royal meant being burdened with an endless amount of social and political duties. Thankfully, your royal boss only had to mill around his father’s latest party until ten or so in the evening. Half of that time was spent lingering around you, using you as a shield (a different kind than Gladio). No noble would interrupt the prince having a conversation with a member of the Crownsguard, no matter how gutsy.
So, he clung to you for an hour, margarita in hand, before being swept away into a crowd of pearl-wearing, pointlessly gossiping nobles. In the meantime, you entertained Iris and a few of the other girls she had holed up with near the refreshment table. The Shield’s young sister wasn’t big on these events, either. So, you had chatted for about an hour.
Noctis, haggard and exhausted, had stumbled up to you and demanded that you escort him upstairs. Your farewell to Iris was as brief as could be. You knew that Ignis would want a drunken, socially awkward prince away from the throng of vicious guests before he could make any one of them angry. The dark-haired young kept his arm slung over your shoulder, clinging onto you like a lifeline even after the party was a world away. Your heels clicked against the Citadel’s marbled floors.
Hi there! First off, your writing is amazing and you are a cute and pretty person. Secondly, could you write some fluffy and/or funny headcanons for a fem s/o who is pregnant and in a poly relationship with Noct and Prompto? Thanks <3
You’re too kind, darling!!! Thank you so much! I got you on those headcanons!
I don’t have any personal experience with a true polyrelationship. I’ve been a couple’s “girlfriend” before but I dunno that wastoxic that was a mess let it stay in the garbage where it belongs (withardyn).IN ANY CASE! I love the idea of Poly!Promtis so I gave it my best shot despitemy lack of experience!!
More under the cut for length.
The pregnancy is for sure accidental! Maybeyou’re on some form of contraceptive, maybe they regularly use condoms, maybeyou do both! You still end up knocked up much to everyone’s surprise.
But let’s bring it back a bit! Besides you ofcourse, I feel that Prompto would be the first to notice that something’sdifferent about you. Maybe you’re sleeping more than usual, taking bathswhereas you used to shower, your breasts are way more sensitive. (He’s a titsman, he would know.) After some frantic Googling, Prompto is the one whoencourages you to take an at home pregnancy test. Encourages is perhaps toopaltry a word. He comes home one evening with a bag full of different brands oftests and he’s looking at you, all wide eyed and breathless like “Please??”You’d been playing with the idea but nervous as hell; he gives you the littlenudge you need to go through with it.
Reminiscent of the scene in Juno before EllenPage takes her pregnancy test, you chug a quart of apple juice in preparation.Noctis comes home to find you and Prompto sitting on the bathroom floor with youguzzling away at it. He’s like “Uhhh. Should I come back later????” but then hespies the pregnancy tests you have scattered on the counter andhis face goes white. He grabs one, finds a seat on the edge of the tub, andfiddles with the box in silence. Prompto does the best he can to bring somelevity to the atmosphere but nah there’s no shaking the stifling air ofnervousness that settles over you all. There’s no denying you all care for andlove each other but holy shit does a baby add a whole new dimension to yourrelationship and you’re not sure if you’re happy yet. Not this early, at least.
When it’s finally time for you to pee you shoo theboys from the bathroom but they linger in the hall. “Whose baby do you think itis?” Noctis asks, rolling and unrolling the same shirt sleeve over and over.“Ours,” Prompto says simply, but there’s nothing simple about the way hepresses his lips together. “Yeah but—!!” Noctis feels himself getting frustrated,a part of him wants to kid to be his. Would it be selfish of him to admit it?
You invite them back in once it’s time to waitfor the results. Prompto holds your hand the entire time, brushing his thumbalong your knuckles. Noctis sits with his head resting on your shoulder. Whenthe test comes back positive, Prompto is the first to start crying. You’venever been one for his tears and it’s truly comical the way you reach up tocradle his face between your hands as if to comfort him and promptly burst outcrying as well. Noctis is like “Goddammityou guys!!” And now everyone’s in tears. You take a few more tests withthem right there in the room, you don’t even care anymore. They all come backpositive. Prompto’s probably gotten so worked up that he’s puked in the sinkand honestly it’s so outrageous you can’t help but laugh at him.
You, sitting on the toilet with your underwearhanging off one ankle and cardboard shreds littered at your feet. Noctisreclining on the floor against the tub with positive tests in his lap. Promptograbs his hair in both hands. “Holy shit we’re gonna be—HRRKKKK!”
“Baby, are you okay?!” “Yikes.” *Cue heavy breathing and more retching*
Noctis goes out and buys the poor guy aginger ale.
You wait until everyone is free to head to yourdoctor for a pregnancy confirmation and to get an idea of how far along youare. Prompto does not puke this time, you’re all proud of him.
I love the idea of them not only being hellasupportive of you, but of each other as well. You’re a family, a team, there’sso much love to go around. UGH MY HEART.
By now everyone’s attitude regarding thepregnancy has settled. You’re still nervous as hell but a sweet kind ofhappiness has taken root in you. You’re always dragging your boyfriends’ handsto your tummy even though there’s nothing to feel yet. You keep the pregnancytests in the drawer of your bedside table and stare at them frequentlythroughout the day. Prompto has captured many a candid shot of you gazing atthem fondly. Noctis tries to act like he’s playing it cool but Ignis gives himaway. His advisor swoops in like a momma bird with books, web articles, allkinds of treats and teas for your morning sickness, he even helps you find aneonatal vitamin that doesn’t make you feel ill. All the while Noctis ishovering over his shoulder. “What’s this? What’s that? She doesn’t like it,let’s get her something else.” Eventually Ignis is like “I’ll leave this toyou, Noct.” AND BOY DOES HE GO INTO NESTING OVERDRIVE. Prompto documentsEVERYTHING. And I mean EVERYTHING. “Momma’s not feeling well today,” he says tohis camera, rubbing your back as you lurch over the toilet bowl.“PROMPTO—HRRGGKK—SERIOUSLY, PROMPTO?!” You comehome to a list of possible baby names plastered all over the fridge. Every timethe opportunity presents itself: “Oh, my pregnant girlfriend this. Yeah, mypregnant girlfriend that.” This babe is glowing with unbridled joy.
He also religiously takes progress pics of yourbaby bump. (Noctis photo bombs a quite a few.) He and Noct both keep track ofyour pregnancy with an app. “Did you know the baby’s the size of an avocado now?”he asks one morning over breakfast. Noctis rolls an avocado under his hand witha contemplative expression that melts into a little smile. Another snapshot forthe baby book, Prompto is so in love with you both he’s about to explode.
You get the best prenatal care in all ofInsomnia, as per papa Noct. Your cravings are always met, no matter the time ofday (or night.)
Prompto cries the first time he feels the babymove!! Big ole crocodile tears. He’s smothering your face in kisses, smotheringyour belly in kisses. “I love you so much,” he says to you and the baby both. Heruns into the other room to kiss Noctis, too. Everyone gets smooches.
Noct is chilling, watching TV with his hand onyour belly the first time he feels the baby kick. At first he kinda jerks awayin surprise like “Was that??” You nod and he splays both hands over yourstomach. “Hey buddy.” He whispers; breaks out into the most luminous smile whenthe baby moves again.
Noctis and Prompto decide it would be better ifthe baby has your last name, but they settle on a few first names together and presentthem to you. God forbid you pass on their favorite one, because they’re like ateam of defense attorneys at trial on its behalf.
Prompto wants to do a gender reveal shoot,Noctis wants to know the sex as soon as possible. You figure there’s no harm in doingboth. When the doctor focuses on the baby’s bits, Prompto covers his eyes andbolts from the room. As for Noctis, he’s happy no matter the sex of the baby. But I’m thinking about my friend’s ultrasound of her son bearing his little bitsto the doctor shamelessly and laughing because I feel like Noctis, if he wereto have a son, would have the same reaction as she did in that moment. Just: “Oh,so that’s a penis.”
Prompto: *tears up when you walk out in yourcute maternity outfit for the photoshoot* “Babe, you look so beautiful!” Flat out ugly cries when youopen your box and balloons in whatever color you choose to represent the sex ofthe wee one float out. He almost misses the shot because he’s too busy blubbering.Noctis is in the background like “Dude, the pics!!” He honestly thinks it’scute as hell and can’t stop teasing Prompto. You both tease him, actually.
Noctis is not here for referring to the baby asa little bean, he hates beans. You will not besmirch his unborn child with suchan ugly nickname. He calls the baby his little bun. “How’s mommy? How’s mylittle bun?”
Bun reacts readily to the sound of Promptosinging, so he records some covers of the sweetest songs ever for them.
I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU TO IMAGINE PROMPTO SINGINGLULLABY FOR WYATT AND NOT CRY. TOOLATE YOU LOST WE ALL LOST. I LOST AND I’M THE ONE WRITING THIS.
