He is rather awkward when it comes to any forms of physical affection. Forget about PDA because this man will absolutely not be okay with anything beyond his arm around you. In a new relationship, he's not likely to receive PDA too well. He can't hear what you've asked because oh my god the lights are so bright-- just kidding that is the sun, and suddenly he is nauseous?? Is he dying? Is this a heart attack?
Give him time to grow comfortable and he's a bit more easygoing. Sure, everything you do makes his heart stutter, and he gets this sweet dopey smile on his face. He is not as nonchalant as he tries to pretend to be. He isn't a very risky person and doesn't mind sharing a small cheek kiss or two, loves holding hands. Absolutely links his pinky finger with yours so you two can't lose each other in a crowd.
Isn't likely to show much affection in front of the guys at first. It's not that he is ashamed, far from it. But he doesn't want any of his friends to feel like he is flaunting his relationship or sticking it in their faces. It's a silent anxiety that creeps in sometimes and of course he knows the Chocobros are happy for him. He would still like to be courteous most of the time. If they're bickering, though? Oh, you best believe that sometimes rude, princely attitude will come out to play. They're going to hear about how lovely you are and how he is the luckiest man alive in the sweetest of crooning voices. It is typically all good fun. Very enthusiastic!! Like, yes, he would LOVE to hold your hand in public! Please, do! He's practically giddy by the time your hand laces into his. A big, wide grin stretches across his freckled face. You can hardly see his pretty blue eyes; he's positively beaming. He'd prefer to keep any major acts of intimacy behind closed doors. ᯓ NOCTIS’ love is unusual, a kind of love that’s like an inside joke only the two of you are privy to. a warm kind of string between you both, plucked with the most unconventional timing.
it’s the way he snickers when you pretend you didn’t stumble on your way over to him, or maybe the way you grin at his awkward choice of words when it comes to speaking to you. either way, the two of you have something oddly endearing. ignis will shake his head fondly as he watches the two of you walk side by side, close enough to brush hips although not quite. noctis will only do it to make you laugh, a sweet sound he can’t help but mimic.

ignis is often very busy with his royal duties and escorting the prince around, but you’re always on his mind in one way or another — inhabiting the space in his prefrontal cortex and worming around in unorthodox ways, even little stuff reminding him of you.

and when he sees you, he can’t help but feel on top of the world. he loves talking to you, and words for affirmation / quality time he definitely does adore. he’ll listen to you speak, practically buzzing as he waits for his turn once you’ve asked him about what he likes, or you’ve started talking about what you like. prompto wants to know you to your very core, the same way his ribs are splayed open with your sweet words wrenching their way into him; bared open for you to see.
falls head over heels for you and will constantly make excuses just to see you. all he craves is a hand on his and a smile on your face. that’s all it takes. he has this thing where if he doesn’t have his camera on him, and he sees a really nice sight, his brain’ll conjure up the perfect aperture and filters and everything for an imaginary photo he only wishes he could take. your smile is one of the things he wishes he could always catch.

As the prince of Insomnia, he doesn't always have time to see you. He would love nothing more than to spend the day either with his head in your lap, napping away or on a boat, fishing.
But life isn't fair and he has to sit in countless of council meetings that all seem to be about unnecessary rules that no one needs.
So he will take any chance he can get to see you. Pretending to forget something at home and asking you to bring it to him to the castle, no matter if for a meeting or training.
Even in public he will not shy away to take any chance he can get to steal a kiss.
He will do whatever he can to drag the moment out before he had to get back to whatever he was doing.
But he just can't help but kiss you when no one is looking.
He wished he could just live a normal life. Not royalty, just a normal guy who can kiss his partner without having to worry about the press taking pictures and making a scandal about ridiculous stuff.
But as the crown prince, he has to be careful and luckily he has best friends who adore the both of you enough to help you out. Prompto always knows places no one else knows, mostly from looking around for places to take pictures. Ignis will interrupt meetings and pretend he needs Noctis for a moment, giving the prince a chance to sneak off with you for a few minutes and get a clear head before he has to get back.
And Gladio is the biggest help, his bulky frame is perfect to hide you two from paparazzis and his charm working wonders to distract people while you can have a moment for your own.
Prompto:
Prompto is a shy guy. At least when its about your relationship. He never had a partner before so his anxiety makes him worry about small things. But now that you are already dating for a bit, he started to get bolder.
He still feels shy to kiss you when others are nearby, prefering to share a kiss in privat.
So there might be times like tonight. All of you are at Noctis apartment, Ignis is currently busy in the kitchen, making food for the group.
Gladio is on the couch, a book in hand while Noctis nasp next to him, tired after training today.
You and Prompto were setting the table for dinner when he glanced around shyly, noticing that none of the others were watching you, he took the chance, leaning over the table to press his lips to yours in a sweet kiss.
But he was so busy to check if someone was watching, he didnt notice the glass that was standing too close to the edge and when he leaned over the table he knocked it over, causing the glass to roll of the table and shatter loudly.
Now Prompto was not only embarrasset for kissing you but also for causing all this trouble.
His face is cherry red as he stutters around nervously. He doesn't even notice that his friends are more proud of him for getting over his shyness than be mad about a glass.
Gladio:
Now Gladio, he doesn't hide how much he loves to kiss you.
He will use any chance to throw his big arms around you, pulling you close or even just holding hands. He loves keeping you close to him, not only because he is trained to be a bodyguard.
It doesn't matter if you just take a walk, watch him train or spend a quiet evening on the couch, both of you calmly reading, he will randomly bend over to kiss you.
He is not ashamed to kiss you no matter where you are!
Or so you thought!
Because there is one person that makes Gladio worried enough that he barely dares to take your hand.
And that is his little sister Iris. Not because he is afraid of her or something.
But he wants to keep his little sisters innocence. And it would be contradictory if he preaches to her to wait until marriage and get caught making out with his partner. So he made the rule that there will be as little pda as possible when his sister is there.
But that doesn't stop him from kissing you, he just has to get creative. Waiting until Iris left the room to quickly lean towards you and kiss you hungrily. As soon as he heard footsteps, he pulls away quickly, acting as if nothing happens.
One day you will let him in on the secret that Iris knows whats going on, purposfully leaving randomly because she knows how much her big brother loves you.
Ignis:
Ignis is a special case. He is not embarrassed about his relationship with you but he just prefers to not show his affection publicly for everyone to see. His friends know, his family knows and he doesn't care about the rest.
But he is a very passionate man when its about his job. He still gives you kisses when you come and visit him in the castle but instead of the lips, he will rather press a kiss on the back of your hand.
It always makes you feel like royalty when he bows before you, his eyes staring intensly at you.
But there are days like today, the council is annoying as always, claiming that some old outdated rule can't just be changed while both the king and the prince are annoyed at them, just wanting to end the discussion.
You were already at the castle, often visiting him at his office when he texts you if you could bring him some documents from his desk.
It was nothing new and while the council at first freaked out about it, they didn't dare to speak against the king who would often tell you how happy he is that Ignis has someone to help him get his mind off work.
So when you are not surprised that King Regis was the first to greet you as you walked in, gladly taking any distraction from the council members still arguing over something silly.
As you lean slightly forward to place the papers before Ignis, he moved quickly, just meeting your lips for a quick peck. "Thank you darling." he says, smiling softly at you before he turns to the papers, his face hardening again.
"As I was saying-"
You didn't even listen to him, trying not to let it show how embarrassed you were from this small show of affection. Especially as you notice how Noctis and his father both give you smiles and a thumbs up.
Sometimes you truly wonder how they are able to run the country and still act so silly.
