[A portal opens up In front of Y/N's apartment door, Spot walked out of the portal with a bouquet in hand]

Fem!Spot : Okayokayokay–Let's go over the plan one more time, Y/N in abooouut–[Summons a portal, reach through it and grab a clock out of it] 28 minutes will be picking me up for our date [Throws the clock back to the portal]

[Shows a silly drawing animation of Y/N opening the door and gasp in surprise by spot holding a bouquet]

Fem!Spot : what he WON'T expect, is that me, the charismatic person that I am~ is ALREADY outside his door and will be surprising him not only with flowers but with a dashing surprise~

Fem!Spot : Pfftt! What could go wrong! ........I mean, there's a chance the flower won't stick to the landing.... Or... He'll think this is dumb...–Naaah! He won't think that!

Fem!Spot : ......

Fem!Spot : F#ck.....

[Shows Spot countlessly practicing her scenarios, Spot placed her hand on the doorframe and leans forward]

Fem!Spot : Those flowers reminds me of you~—What?! No!

Fem!Spot : Finger guns Heeeey handsome, mind we take this opportunity to groove off today~—groove!? Who still uses that!

[Spot walking in circles and suddenly stops]

Fem!Spot : Gasp What if i!–...... Wait...–Noo!

[She threw the bouquet off the railing out of rage]

Fem!Spot : Uugh.......—!!!?!?

Fem!Spot : Wait why did I do that!? I need that!!–[About to jump off the railing—]

........

[Spot fidgeting nervously, her swirling black and white spots shifting across her body now holding slightly a bouquet of slightly crumpled up flowers]

[Y/N approaches the door as she readies herself]

Fem!Spot : muttering to herself Okay, this is gonna be perfect, he's going to open the door and BAM! Romantic portal magic in his face!

[Y/N opens the door, shocked and confused but still starts smiling warmly because of her presence]

M!Reader : Wait spot? What are you–

[Before Y/N can finish his sentence, a portal suddenly appears above him, and the bouquet awkwardly drops onto his head as the petals starts scattering, Two portals appeared near his arms as spot arms popped out and moves his arms to make his arms open up forward]

[Another portal opens behind, sending a breeze that scatters the petals everywhere making spot starts panicking]

Fem!Spot : Oh no! No no no, that wasn't supposed to happen! The flowers were supposed to fall down gracefully into your arms! And.... And now they're just—Ugh!

[Y/N laughs softly, brushing the petals out of his hair and arms]

M!Reader : Spot, Spot, relax! It's okay!

[Spot groaning, covering her face with her hands]

Fem!Spot : Okay? I just turned romantic into ridiculous! I was trying to impress you, and now you're wearing the bouquet! I had the whole scenario planned out outside the door!

M!Reader : ......Wait how long have you been outside my—

Fem!Spot : Not an important detail!

[Y/N stepping closer, gently taking her hands]

M!Reader : Hey don't worry about it, it's cute, you're cute and honestly it wouldn't be you if it wasn't a little... Unpredictable!

[Spot peeks at Y/N through her fingers]

Fem!Spot : .........you're not just saying that to make me feel better, are you?

M!Reader (smiling) : Okay maybe a little–But mostly because it's true

[Y/N picks up the slightly crushed bouquet that Y/N swept off his hair and hold onto it]

M!Reader : Chuckles... Thank you for the flowers my lady of portals~

Fem!Spot : O-of course! I mean, I am the greatest at what I do best~✨

M!Reader : Pfftt! Haha, shut up and get over here

[Y/N pulls spot into an embrace hug, the spots on her body whirling in delight]

M!Reader : Soooooo, seems that you got a plan for us today, where are we going today m'lady? That doesn't have random petal attacks that is

[Spot opens a portal In front of them and proceeds to bow down playfully and offers Y/N her hand]

Fem!Spot : This way Mon chéri~

M!Reader : French? Ooh la la~

[Y/N and Spot sitting down on their table]

M!Reader : Let me guess, you stole money from a secluded atm didn't you...?

Fem!Spot : Almost got shot by a police man but in the end, still succeeded!

It's… face (?) reeled back, hands flying out in front of it. “Sorry, please don’t scream!”

You screamed.

“No no, that’s what I said not to do!"

You were perfectly content with your life. Sure, you were barely scraping by, living paycheck to paycheck, and maybe you missed having friends you could trust, but... At least you were safe. Or as safe as anyone could be, living in New York, where there are no less than three 'super-villain' fights per week. You were comfortable where you were at in life, if not happy.

Too that you bad you have a bleeding heart for sad men down on their luck.

description: Spot gets hurt and you take care of him 

“What in the heck happened to you!” Your eyes widen when you saw your best friend trusty leader walking limping into the lodging house with two of his men by his side. You looked them over and it seemed that they took a worst beaten then Spot.

“Don’t worry about it doll, you should see the other guys!” He said trying to act cocky. You only crossed your arms and rolled your eyes.

“Don’t worry about it? You look like complete shit! Get your ass over here so I can at less attempt to try and patch you up” You didn’t wait for a response knowing fully that he would just deny your help.

You pulled him up all the way to the makeshift bathroom you guys all shared. “Sit down while I grab everything,” you said sternly”

“You can’t boss me around goil, I’se the king of Brooklyn” Spot said trying to be ‘dominant’ it didn’t faze you, all you had to do was give him a single glare and he immediately sat down.

“We are going to start with that gash on your face and then move to the cuts on your chest and arms okay?” you instructed as you poured the disinfecting that you stole, on the cloth. Spot only nodded “I’m going to need you to take your shirt off first, Spot,” you said trying to suppress the blush from forming on your cheeks.

“Buy me dinner first doll” Spot joked as he took his shirt off. This wasn’t the first time you saw your fearless leader shirtless but every time your heart would just start thumping loudly.

“Shut up idiot and turn your head to the left.” you huffed out as you pressed the cloth on one of his cuts. He hissed loudly as his gripped the counter squeezing so tight that his knuckles turned white.

“I’m sorry” You apologized softly making him shiver slightly as he felt your hot breath on his neck. He bit his lip gently taking deep breaths. He would never admit it, but he was very smitten with you.

As you treated his wound you couldn’t help but reminisce about the past.

You’ve known Spot ever since you two were kids. You can still remember the day he first arrived at the lodging house. He was a very shy small frail boy. You immediately felt drawn to him.

“Hi, I’m (Y/N)! But everyone calls me books!” You said happily dropping the current book in your hand so you could take his hand. He just looked at you like you were crazy. Your eyes quickly found Socks who had his hands on top of the mystery boy’s head. “Does he not know how to speak?” 8-year-old you said.

“The kid hasn’t said nutthing since we found him running from Snyder. I took it upon myself to call him Spot since he reminded me of dog”

“Spot! That’s a good name! He’s cute like one too!” you couldn’t help but giggle as you try to pet his head.

“Well since you seem so interested, you can show him the ropes,” Socks said making you gasp happily

“I’m going to make sure he becomes the best newsies there ever was!” You declared

“I’m sure you will Books,” Socks said as he messed up your hair making you glare at him.

“Just you wait, Spot and I are going to sell more papes then all you losers” Socks burst out laughing.

“God kid you always say the weirdest things”

Spot finally did warm up to you. He didn’t speak much at first which did lead to you having to protect him. Surprisingly when you two were younger you were the one that was hot-headed and got into fights.

“Hey Spot, it’s strange isn’t it?” you hummed as you started to put band-aids on certain cuts

“What’s strange?” He questioned looking at you strangely.

“When we were little I was always the one getting patched up by you, but now you’re the one that can’t seem to keep out of trouble” He just chuckled.

“Well I couldn’t let you fight all my battles I would have been made fun of by the other guys, they would have started calling me a goil” you just rolled your eyes applying more disinfecting to make him purposely squirm.

“Watch it” you warned making him shiver a little as he looked into your cold eyes.

But it was true when you both hit 13 you Spot started to speak up more and to stand his ground. At first, he kept getting beat but eventually, he became almost unstoppable. That was also around the time that you started seeing Spot differently. He wasn’t that lost puppy that you first met. He was starting to become manlier and you had to admit it you liked it.

Spot wasn’t the only one changing. You starting to mature and it didn’t go unseen. He started noticing the small things like the way your (E/C) shined brightly, he could get lost in your eyes for hours. He loved how your (H/C) always seemed so soft, he couldn’t help but yearn to run his fingers through your hair. Also, your curves kept him up at night. He couldn’t help but admire the way you were always so gentle and kind to all the younger newsies and he couldn’t help but hate it.

He hated that he would do anything for you. He hated that you had him wrapped around your finger and you had no idea. He hated when he would see the other boys flirt with you. He hated when you didn’t give him your full attention. He hated not being able to hold you close at night and whisper sweet nothings to you all night. He hated that you weren’t ‘his goil’. He hated that he was too scared to tell you.

“There all done,” you said smiling at the young king. “Now stay out of trouble will yeah? You’re going to end up giving me a heart attack” Spot just rolled his eyes but suddenly he felt heat rush to his cheek as you laid a small peck to one of the many Band-Aids on his face. “I mean it Spot, I really do care about you and it hurts me every time I see you hurt” you gently placed your hand on his cheek caressing his right cheek.  

“I-I’ll try” Spot gulped as he looked deep into your eyes biting his lip gently. He couldn’t help but look down at your lips. They looked so soft and inviting.

“Good now I should probably go see how the others are holding up” You got up and fixed your shirt. Spot groaned and grabbed his hair. Why was he such a coward when it came to you?
