Day 60 of 365

Just a little colouring today, as far as the creative time goes. I woke up a little later than planned, and then spent longer at the gym than I planned, so haven’t had too much time, as I need to get ready for work soon, and I am going to Nics straight after.

Half way through the short story of ‘On Lickerish Hill, by Susanna Clarke ( Ladies of Grace Adieu ) So will finish that later, as my reading part of the day.

Was a really good gym session, 25 minutes running 2.44 miles, and then various arm weights and strength training.

Teen Wolf 3x17 "Silverfinger"

My heart. Everything hurts. Well, not everything, there were some lovely moments where I positively glowed because of the relationships between these characters. So let's do that first, then go into the pain. 

Kira and Scott. First the scene where Kira accepts Scott's wolf form, running her fingers along his face, just like when he told her she was a fox, not a demon from hell in the previous episode. Loved that quiet moment between them. Also loved her joke about being psychic and his horrified expression - you two are both adorable. And not only that but you trust each other. 

"Since this is our first experience with demonic ninjas, we think we should play it safe." Ethan and Aidan are willing to protect Scott, kill for him even (which does not surprise me given how easily they killed Boyd - grrrr), to be part of his pack. But, at least at this point, much like Derek pointed out, I don't think they'd die for him. They don't have true pack loyalty; they just want a true alpha to hang with to prevent being steamrollered by other wolves. I suppose we'll see how it develops, whether they'll ever truly become trustworthy. 

STILES AND SCOTT. Their friendship is so important to me and it continues to be so important to me. I love that Scott believes in him, that he isn't trying to kill people. Next episode is going to tear me apart on this front, isn't it?

Melissa and Stiles! Also super important to me. She takes care of him and then he says "thanks mom" and my heart just clenched up with feeling. I want to cry. Then her own investigation into his condition by looking into his mother's file. I have a very bad feeling about this. A very bad feeling indeed.  

"No you're a gene donor" - Yes, good. Scott's father left and so he doesn't get father privileges. If he wants to be a father to Scott, he's going to have to grovel and work hard for acceptance. That said, I didn't want him stabbed because he doesn't deserve to die. I think he'll be okay but there were some tense moments there when I wasn't so sure. 

And now the pain plus some answers (actually a lot of the above was also painful - this show is a painful show). So Oni aren't evil, they're just so focused on their one goal that they don't really care about killing people who get in the way. Which is great if you know and thus don't try fighting them, but awful if you don't. They're looking for the nogitsune which is evil and possessing Stiles because strife and tragedy make him an easy target and I'm just - NO STILES NOOOOO!

But ugh what a good scene when he reaches out and squishes the Oni firefly spirits. Good acting Dylan!

(so much construction going on outside my bedroom window, only got about an hour and a half of sleep) just woke up and spoiled snk for myself because i was so tired that the spoiler warning didn't even register in my head until after i already read through part of it.. well, i guess i'll start the manga this evening when i have free time because now i'm curious and confused.
