I think my birthday question got buried, so I'm asking again in the hopes that you'll see it this time. I've heard that you worked on my favorite set, so could I please get some trivia about Starter 1999?

The blue 3/3 was made an Octopus because it looked good in the comic.

I would love it if, one year, the commander decks contained no new cards and were instead made with entirely old cards (and a minimum of cards from previous preconstructed commander decks) with some new artwork and foils and stuff. I feel that the spirit of commander is very much about getting to build a deck with a lot of your favorite old cards that you don't really get to play anywhere else and, while I love the preconstructed decks, they don't do that.

But that's true of every other release. The Commander decks are the only place we can make new cards specifically aimed at Commander.

Can you answer less questions about silver bordered cards? I love reading this blog and it seems pointless to me for you to answer so many questions about cards that can't even be played (outside of casual). I'd much rather you answer questions about more relevant topics. (Sorry if this seemed rude, that wasn't the intent)

I'm literally the Un-Rules Manager so answering silver-border rules questions is one of my many jobs.

I do answer a whole lot of questions though so even if you skip those, I produce a lot of content for you to read.
