my take on the week 1 of my art challenge! I tried to break down what I found difficult about the references and see how I could extrapolate something full from it. Also pulling double duty - an another one for discord's Call of Centaur event :)

I will be posting 2 images a week. it is YOUR TASK to create something of YOUR CHOOSING inspired by the images.
IT DOES NOT HAVE TO BE VISUAL ART - OTHER ART FORMS ARE WELCOME! (the pun on PAINting is just Too Good)
These images have been selected to be UNUSUAL and CHALLENGING, promoting ideas and poses I personally think would promote good growth in an artist's abilities.

I haven't decided what I want to draw for @painting-challenge 1 yet, but while pondering about it I wanted to see what was really going on under the hood for the perspective so to speak and what I could take from it for my own potential piece Here is what I came up with (if you're taking part, you may want to consider doing your own so that your body remembers things in the way you're used to sketching and can get more use out of it)
left - a flat out redline of the photo middle - just the redline
right - perspective assumptions
the thing fucking me up the most with the perspective are her left foot and being unsure of the blue vanishing point. With that in mind and for my own picture to teach me the most possible about those subjects, I'll definitely need to do somekind of topdown image with the feet pointing down even if I don't do this specific one. As for the vibes image with the fruit cell walls, hmm. I'll probably try to onclude something with transparencies to learn from it too. Guess we'll see.
