Pride/June 2021 Reads Wrap Up. I was much more productive with reading this month than I was for the last few, tho I will admit that if I read less fanfiction, I still could’ve finished more books, lol. Anyway, for this month, my goal was to read at least 15 books, preferably more recent books, and as strictly LGBTQ+ as I could. And I think I did pretty well on that front. (Did I basically force myself to stay as focused as possible and finish three books, a novella, and a graphic novel in the last two and a half days in order to meet my goal? maybe 😉) lol. I’m not much of a graphic novel person, but I’m happy to say that I did finish a few of those as well, as seen on the second slide. Books: Hani and Ishu’s Guide to Fake Dating by Adiba Jaigirdar The Ghosts We Keep by @mason_deaver Meet Cute Diary by @emeryleebooks She Drives Me Crazy by @kellyquindlen Ruinsong by @juliaemberya The Friend Scheme by @calerdietrich I’ll Be Home for Christmas by @mason_deaver Darling by @k.ancrum We Are Okay by @nina_lacour The Passing Playbook @isaacfitzbooks Graphic Novels: Heartstopper Vol 1 Heartstopper Vol 2 Heartstopper Vol 3 Heartstopper Vol 4 all by @aliceoseman The Magic Fish by @trungles The Girl from the Sea by @molly_ostertag All of these covers were absolutely stunning, and I enjoyed most of the actual stories themselves too. 🥰 I’m glad I could celebrate pride in some way, even if it’s just through these books. I’m proud of the number of books I read compared to last months. I’m proud of the kinds of books I read, and I’m proud of my identity.
