The Cars update for S18 of Disney Speedstorm looks SOOO good! There are even three remixes of the music from the start of the film including Real Gone which was sooo close to being perfect, but Sheryl Crow's vocals were replaced by Laura Lynn, from an official karoake version, and it doesn't sound awful, but not really amazing either.
So I made a version with the original vocals:
I really want to get the cars soundtrack on cd but I also know in my heart and soul I wouldn't be able to play it in the car because lords know if Real Gone comes on while I'm behind the wheel I'm going to get a speeding ticket
I've been wanting to do this post for a long while and finally found the motivation for it.
Let me tell you something that may or may not be shocking but Sheryl Crow predicted McQueen's fate in Cars 3 y'all!
And don't you worry your pretty smart brain, I've got a whole nice documentation for you to understand, following the lyrics of Real Gone.
Slow down (you're gonna crash)
As Jackson Storm and the other young racers begun to outpace McQueen, he started moving at a dangerous speed, so he probably should've slowed down to avoid what we know will happen next : the crash.
Baby you were screamin'
He wasn't screaming, but if you listen well at some point he looks at Storm with hatred and begins to mumble "no" at a little loud volume.
It's a blast
The first disaster happens : his tire goes flat and he begins to lose control of himself.
Blast
He crushes against the track's border.
Blast
He loses complete control and gets severely injured.
Look out babe (you got your blinders on)
Sally observes as her carfriend crashes on the track, being completely shocked and horrified (I don't really know how to connect the blinders part to the scene..).
Everybody's lookin' for a way to get real gone
I know the song isn't referring to passing away but to someone who is carefree and wild. Actually both meanings can work for this scene, since McQueen didn't pay much attention on his limits just to win the race (carefree) and in that way he got badly hurt ("passing away").
Real gone
McQueen got too silly...
So?? What do you think? Is my theory that crazy to make me get thrown out of the window or does it actually make sense to y'all??
