Trani (Puglia). Church of San Francesco (XII century). What I perceived as the real center of Trani is Piazza della Libertà (Mmèzze in San Franciche), in which two important streets of the historic center meet: via Ognissanti (formerly Civitatis) and via M. Pagano (formerly Carraria), which it also continues beyond the square. On one side, a little further on, there is the Romanesque Church of San Francesco. It was initially named after the Holy Trinity. Next to it was the Benedictine monastery, now the municipal library. It stood outside the Longobard walls, which began at Porta Antica. It was Frederick II who made another circle of walls that brought it inside them, whose reference door was that of Bisceglie, towards the east. It was dedicated to San Francesco around 1537, when it passed to the Franciscans. The internal structure is composed of a large rectangular hall, divided into three naves, with the three domes covering the central one. #sanfrancesco #perceived #trani #puglia #realcenter #piazzadellalibertà #meet #civitatis #caravanserai #beyond #side #romanesque #holytrinity #walls #circle #reference #covering #travel #traveling #visiting #instatravel #travelling #tourism #instatraveling #mytravelgram #travelgram #travelingram #massimopistis #sovVERSIvi #estremisti Information for the purchase of my new book "Estremisti!": the book at a cost of 12.00 euros (120 pages), can be ordered in bookstores (ISBN 978-88-591-5719-9 - Publisher Aletti) or online on the page http://www.alettieditore.it/emersi/2019/pistis.html from the link below. https://www.instagram.com/p/B-AjKhpoI_S/?igshid=pa8cgxaohoqv
