anyways I saw someone say “she should’ve been at the mall getting boba with her friends” and aughhhh yeah. Yeah she’s just a kid!! She should be going to the gas station and getting crappy snacks!!

I feel like she would have so much fun with acrylics + her favorite colors are definitely orange and blue. I gave her orange nails in this one but she definitely has blue sets squirreled away somewhere. (Yes I also hc her as being very into fencing and idk if that works with acrylics but maybe she’s taking a break or something shhhhh)

the bracelet she has, top middle, is in aroace colors bc I hc her as aroace always ! And the snacks in that corner are flaming hot Funyuns, marshmallows, and Fanta. They just seem her vibe.

I’m very happy with her eyes on the main center one :3 they’re a new style!!

anyways enough of me. Closeups!!

I have uploaded these closeups and written the notes under them three fucking times now every time I save as draft it only saves half my rambles. Curses upon this website.

anyways. I know her braids might look chunkier in the cartoony bits but I just wanted to make sure she doesn’t look like she had straight hair lmao.

the way I got her skin color was that I actually took the median of her skin tone (blended the darker and lightest bits)(because the clone wars artstyle is quite harshly shaded) and then added more yellow till it was a human color ^^

I thought it would be cool if she dyed her hair and eyebrows to make it look more like her canon design also :3

anyways when I heard of this challenge I just knew I had to do Ahsoka! Her canon design is quite black-coded and she’s also my favoritest character ever. I haven’t drawn any other canon characters for… months….. perhaps this entire year…

this was a great exercise in drawing humans though! It’s been a while since I’ve drawn non-aliens well, so I was a bit nervous, but I quite like how this ended up! Again, happy birthday Ms. CBC, hope it goes well!!

I haven’t actually played this game but the general consensus from people who have seems to have been fashionable and cute kid. I went with that!

Simplified her color palette

made her skin darker and changed features

gave her locs instead of the Generic Wavy hair

added loc sprinkles/loc beads because they’re cute

added a lot more bows because. Cute

put some meat on her bones because she’s a growing child

changed the top just bc the design felt too simple

gave her earrings

simplified the accessories on her top because er. I’m lazy and didn’t want to draw them

Oh yeah so second entry to Melanin beam challenge (this one was unplanned but what can I say I love lesbians. So it matches Ahsoka). I present (drumroll please) Barriss Offee!!

Barriss is a total caprisun girlie and you can’t convince me other wise !! This one was so hard because the background green was hard to get right so I just picked a mid green color .

anyways can we talk about how hard it is to find a decent reference for Barriss. You’ll notice the reference I’ve got here she’s totally shadowed and the other references she’s looking at the camera like it hurt her 😒 let my girl smile !!!

anyways um I love love love love Hijabi Barriss!! So I went with that!! I gave her a looser Hijab style to match with her looser looking hood in canon. And you will notice her lesbian bracelet. I drew the lesbian flag from memory because my internet was out when I was drawing this if I got it wrong I’m sorry lesbians 😔 I’m not too familiar with the flag.

snacks are pani puri lemonade and cupcakes this lady has got a massive sweet tooth and you can’t convince me otherwise!

Ahem you will notice upon zooming in to that top ring that it says to: Barriss my own forest fairy this bc the ring is from Ahsoka :3 Ahsoka realized that she had the hots for Barriss and immediately went to Anakin of all people to talk about it . And he helped her solder in the message and make the ring as a gift for Barriss

otherwise what else… Barriss would totally love rings you can’t convince me of anything else!! Also you will notice that Barriss has more square eyes in the cartoon versions and Ashoka’s are more triangular this signifies how Barriss is more ‘stable’ (or at least thinks out her bad decisions entirely) and Ahsoka is more impulsive >:3 I did a symbolism!!!

the skin for this one was kind of random because I couldn’t color pick her skin properly from a reference because I couldn’t find a new reference :/
