Let’s keep this short and sweet. In less than 48 hours I’ll be headed to Europe on my journey of self discovery and adventure. I booked this trip almost 5 months ago. At the time, this trip was the only thing worth looking forward to, and it was the only way I imagined I’d be able to find myself. Fast forward to today - I’ve already grown so much and done so much healing in such a small amount of time. Yet this trip is still just as important. I have traveled a LOT throughout my life, including internationally... But this will be a unique venture in itself. I’ve never been to Europe, so we’ll get to check that off the list. I’m traveling with a small tour group, but I’m traveling by myself at the same time - everything will be new and unknown. Solo Lolo takes on the world!
Traveling was something Ken and I always talked about - we’d dream about the day we could just take off and explore the world. Oh, the places we’d go! But there was always an excuse not to go. Always an obstacle. Always a reason to never leave. I even struggled to make a weekend getaway to the mountains happen - Ken never actually wanted to do anything or go anywhere. He was all talk and no action. So I’ll go instead. I’ll have the big, grand adventure I always wanted. And I’ll do it for me, myself, and I. No one else.
