Idea; Rose comes to Earth as Pink Diamond, sent there to create another generation of gems. She has a change of heart when she sees the devastating effect she's having on the planet and the life already here, and so to symbolize her breaking away from the Diamond Authority she redubs herself Rose Quartz. She was made in the Kindergarden but she wasn't grown in an earth-bound hole~

That’s pretty much the only explanation of Rose is Pink Diamond that I’ll accept at this point. Gosh I am so skeptical of that theory (not Rose being a leader necessarily, but her having to be a Diamond to be a leader seems unnecessary to me)

Have you read the Zombie Survival Guide? Very good book, written by the same guy who wrote World War Z (the book, which was awesome, not the movie which was shit). All tongue in cheek, but sound advice besides

The positioning of the Wars are a bit shaky. The first War was either 80 years ago, according to Ozpin, or 4-5 generations, because Jaune's great great grandfather fought in it, and that was a world war. (1)

(2) Faunus-Human war was started when humans tried to shift Faunus to live someplace called Menagerie, to which the Faunus fought long enough and hard enough that human governments found it too costly to keep fighting.

That war 4-5 generations ago was also a separate war. I think so far we have allusions to 3 wars, the Great War, the Faunus War, and the Expression War (I’m just naming them myself for convenience). The Expression War ended 80 years ago, the Faunus War 100, and the Great War was a long time ago.

In the extended intro, specifically the "Yellow Diamond turns her head menacingly" part, is it the Crystal Gems singing or the Homeworld gems?

I’ve always thought it was still the Crystal Gems signing in that portion- Steven included! His voice in harmony with the other three seems to be what’s throwing a lot of people. On the video it does sound a bit like Peridot is in company, but if you listen to the audio file that the user attached it’s a lot easier to tell that Steven is signing too!
