Every day I look at my dash, see a fandom critical post, and I ask myself what now.

Swear this my last post (other than gifs) about this clip. Then imma let fandom be fandom. Just needed to get this off my chest.

This whole “he’s put in so much effort” 👀 where? Where???!? He’s doing the bare minimum anyone in a relationship should and would do. What effort. Like, this dude a fuck boi (y’all forget the wall of conquests) in a secret relationship with a girl he been pinning for a year (he does not deserve applause for that shit -my gods the low bar-). Off course he’s going to treat her well and have to work to gain her trust and prove he’s more than a fuck boi (and she’s not just a momentary distraction) and worth the possibility of her destroying her built friendships ( hello Silvia and la matte). Effort, he’s doing what he should and what anyone who wants to develop a healthy, happy, functioning relationship does.

Look, kisses and biscuits are cute and everything, but so is emotional connection (What Ele craves). Girl did not bring up his dad and brother just to be cruel and petty (passive aggressive yes). Obviously it still hurts her that he is unwilling or unable to be vulnerable, to open up to her (“I am sorry you can’t talk to me about...”). She’s let him in, in a way she hasn’t with friends and family (talking about her family and upbringing) and him...crickets. Effort is meaningless if it’s not the kind sook or wanted. He needs to put effort into talking to her. Twice he’s been given chances to let her in, in a way that counts to her (classroom make up and car) and twice he’s failed. Tell her about your mom, your absentee father, your predator brother (which could save her). How was your childhood Edo? What is your shoe size? What’s your favorite ice cream? Do you study? What do you do when you’re not with her?

My bb Ele is not flawless. I know there are changes she needs to make if she wants the relationship to progress and become the kind they both crave. But she’s done a lot in her own ways. She’s made strides and she too is trying. Considering what we know of her up bringing, her fears, insecurities, abdoment issues, how she folds into herself and keeps people arms length away...she’s come far in that she’s trying at this relationship. She tries to understand him (classroom bs), accept his wishes (car not ready to talk about bro) and give what she wishes to have (opening up about her family, crying in front of him).

I like Edo. But y’all can miss me with this “effort” discussion. #thankyounext

really people, if you don’t like something or disagree with it, that’s fine, but stop projecting your feelings onto GRRM

im sure he has a closer relationship to them and they know more about what’s going on than any of you sitting around plotting up some conspiracy like D&D is purposely trying to ruin your show

My two cents on the Jeremy and Chris situation I just found out about. Coming another fandom where a bunch of girls cry out over mindless jokes from actors and get harassed by their cult like fans

1) Yes it was upsetting I give y’all that. I remember when Clark Gregg called Warrior’s Manson Marriers I was shocked but forgave him.

2) Chris Evans as I heard is a fucking Gentleman and has social anxiety apparently. Comming from someone who has diagnoised GAD and Social Anxiety if someone said a joke like that I would probaly laugh out of nervousness too cause I wouldn’t know what to do.

3) I have recognized Jeremy can me a smart alec ass at times, it can be problematic but I’ve recognized that.

4) They are not gods like Thor they are human. Human beings make mistakes. So I forgive them.

In conclusion....Tumblr...step back and breathe cause they could have done much worse.

You're open to your interpretations about characters and their relationships and your views on the story. This is true for any series/story and the thousands of views people have on them.

But the minute you say your views are fact and ignore canon facts or complain the series itself is wrong because your ships aren't canon, you're just complaining about the creator not catering to what you wanted/expected.

This is why fan interpretations exist. But don't try to pass them off as fact. That's no better than the people who complain about Ahiru being a duck or not being a girl at the end of the series. It's not the series' or creator's fault for not giving you what you want.
